In this episode, we talk about external pressure. Everyone has felt the need to perform. Starting with our earliest memories, we want to look good or do good. We want the affirmation and praise that come. Sometimes that is poison. We crave it and resent it at the same time. That can be a terrible monster.
Maybe you are filled with “I know I should.” One good question is always to ask, “Who made that rule?” Is it something you have chosen in your life, or something leftover from society, family, or another externality? Sometimes, we want to prove something. I lived with that for years, until I stopped. The funny thing is that nothing changed when I discarded the need to prove. Except for the total freedom I felt.
