They read from and comment upon Genesis Chapter 12 verses 1-3. Abram, later renamed Abraham by God, was called by God to leave his home and kinsmen and travel to the land God would show him. In faith and trust Abram obeyed God. He was the first to follow. Because he did so, his progeny became a great nation, and all the nations on the earth have been blessed through his offspring, Jesus, the Savior of the world. Abraham is now the father of our faith. Let's act in faith as Abraham did. Let's live the life of faith, without which no one can please God.
