Dr. Madlena Kantscheff was born and raised in communist Bulgaria, a time when public faith was suppressed and children were forbidden from celebrating Christmas, Easter, or attending church. Despite these restrictions, she carried a deep, unshakeable knowing in her heart from an early age that God was real, loving, and always accessible.

In 1986, Madlena moved to Germany, where she was finally able to live and express her faith freely. She established her own dental practice in Bavaria in 1991, serving her patients with deep compassion and heart-centered care for two decades.

Her faith was put to the ultimate test in 1998 when she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Turning whole-heartedly to God, she prayed for a miracle—and was blessed to experience divine, complete healing. Today, Dr. Kantscheff joyfully shares her testimony, spreading the love, hope, and healing truth of Jesus Christ.

It's a great pleasure to connect with you for part of the world that you're in today.

I am right now in Cologne, Germany.

Very cool.

But that is not a German accent, is it?

I don't know what accent that is because this is not even a Bulgarian.

So I'm originally from Bulgaria and moved to Germany exactly 40 years ago looking for a country, for a place on this earth where I could think freely, I could practice my faith freely.

And so I think I combined the accent of whatever countries.

I don't know.

Is it very multicultural in Germany where you are?

It is very multicultural and it is nice because you know that Germans lost the Second World War in 1945 and they started building the country with the support and guidance from the Americans.

There was this Marshall Plan which was created in the U.S. Even the new currency, this D-Mark was printed in the U.S. and imported to Germany.

So the Germans built this country, rebuilt it after the Second World War with the support of so-called Gastebeiter.

These were people who came from many European countries to support this country and to be able to support their families like people from Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and so on.

So this multicultural society is still flourishing.

Now we have people from Middle East, from Africa, from North America, from South America, and we're not all one at the end of the day.

One blood.

How did it feel if you do remember when your foot first landed on the soil of Germany?

Well of course it's a different culture.

I didn't speak the language.

I was so naive back then thinking that with my English, which was good enough back then to handle any situation, I was naive to think that in Germany I can at least at the beginning come through with my English, but it didn't work.

So I was very blessed to be invited to learn German, very intense, eight hours every single day at the university in Regensburg, which is a small beautiful city in Bavaria in the southern part of Germany.

And this opened for me the doors to complete the process of integration, because when you speak the language, the communication, the interaction with the locals is completely different.

Tell me about how you met Jesus, please.

I was born in a country where faith was not only not wanted, it was forbidden by law, including going to church at Easter and at Christmas.

So if I dared to enter the church, for example, at Easter, that would have cost me my place at the educational system, starting with elementary school.

So it was forbidden to believe in God, let's put it in this way.

However, we all are connected with God, with higher power, with Jesus.

We feel it in our hearts, this connection.

And so actually, to be very honest, my first real connection with higher power, I'll tell you more about Jesus as I speak, I started studying dentistry back in Bulgaria in capital Sofia back in 1979.

So we are having an exercise where a professor is showing us how the human eyes are not just built, but how they function.

And we're listening to him, he's very excited about the stuff he's teaching us.

And as he explains to us how all this works, we'll look into each other's eyes with no, all the students in my group, we were 12 people, we look into each other's eyes and with no words, we could feel the thoughts of everyone.

This, what we are hearing right now cannot be just this linear idea of the Charles Darwin theory.

There must be something bigger, there must be something intangible, something which could create this perfect anatomy and physiology.

It cannot be just the evolution itself.

So this was my first, let's say, proof that something bigger exists, which has created us and everything on this earth.

So if that can count as a connection of first meeting with Jesus, that's in my heart.

And this opened the doors for me to keep my heart open for further deepening this connection.

How old were you back then?

I was 19.

So take me through when you actually got to Germany, how many years after would that be from 1979?

Well, you know, when you go through challenging situations, there are moments in life when you turn to other human beings and ask politely for guidance, for help.

And this desire to help, to be of service is in every single one of us, in one more, in one less, but we have it as a part of our human nature.

So people will do their best to help you, to guide you, and at some point you hit the wall.

You see that you are asking too much from them.

And I'll give you a very good example.

1998, living a very stressful life as a mother of two wonderful children, running my dental practice in a foreign country and so on.

I have disconnected, and I'm saying this lovingly toward myself, I have disconnected myself from my body, not listening to what my body was telling me all the time.

You know, this whisper, this quiet whisper that your body is telling you, here is happening this, here you feel that.

But I have mostly disconnected myself from my soul because I was running after an earthly success, the social status and what others think of me and so on.

How do they perceive me?

That's a part of our human journey, I would say.

I was very young, I was 32, 33.

So in 1998, I had to face the diagnosis of cancer of the uterus.

And I went the same path, asking medical professionals and alternative medicine therapists and so on for guidance, for therapy, for help.

But at some point, the doctors realized that the removement of the uterus has to be done.

I tried to avoid it, but it had to be done.

So here I am at a hospital on June 22nd, I will never forget, it's a Sunday.

And I know that I'm going, I'm going to get emotional and then you know that I'm real.

And I know that I'm facing a difficult surgery the day after.

And I don't know if I'm going to survive it.

So emotionally and physically naked, I went on my knees and I said out loud, probably with my last power I had in me, if there is God, please heal me.

I want to be around when my children grow up.

They were back then 4 and 11.

And believe me or not, instantly, as I was still on my knees, I heard a voice saying, my beloved daughter, I heard you.

And I will heal you.

But you have to promise me that you're going to radically change your life.

Will you promise me?

Of course I promised.

And somehow, and it makes sense certainly for you.

I felt this comfort in my heart, knowing that I'm not alone.

And this inner knowing that I'm healed.

I went through the surgery, it was Monday.

It was a difficult one.

Thank God I woke up and so on.

So here I am recovering from this difficult surgery.

The same week on Friday, the surgeon who performed the surgery came to me and said, good morning, Mrs. Kanchef.

I have to tell you something.

We shouldn't have done the surgery.

And I, what?

Why are you telling me this?

He said, we removed the uterus, 20 lymph nodes on the right side and 20 lymph nodes on the left side, just to make sure that the cancer cells did not spread.

We cut different slices of the uterus and of the lymph nodes, hundreds of them.

We didn't find even one cancer cell.

Where did they go?

And then I realized that God kept his promise.

Absolutely amazing.

Tell me about the impact that this had on your children.

You talked about them being four and 11 at that time.

How are they today as adults?

Well, they are now, my daughter will turn 40 this year, and my son is 33.

I am very open-hearted mother.

I share with them my own life experience, but I did not impose it onto them.

You can invite someone to connect with Jesus.

However, the connection has to happen between this person's heart and soul and Jesus.

So they know my story and they built their unique, let's put it this way, unique connection with God, with Jesus, with higher power.

I just had a conversation yesterday with my grandson, who is the son of my daughter, and he said, do you believe in God?

And I said, I firmly believe in God.

And where does God live?

You don't see him.

I said, God is invisible, but you can feel his presence in your heart.

And it's up to you.

It was very easy for me to respond to this eight and a half years old boy, because I spoke from my heart.

So it was an invitation for him to keep his heart open for the connection with God, with Jesus.

It can happen only in the heart.

What's the message you'd leave for future you?

Continue deepening the connection with God, Jesus, between your heart and Jesus and God.

And this happens through purification of your heart.

I talk to God all the time and I ask, what steps do you want me to take to deepen the connection with you?

And the response is always the same.

The purer your heart, the deeper the connection with me.

The deeper the connection with me, the easier to purify your heart.
