Coco Sellman:We are so excited to have you here today Sahim.
Siham Lamini:Thank you.
Siham Lamini:Thank you so much Coco.
Siham Lamini:I'm so excited to be part of your show.
Siham Lamini:Thank you.
Siham Lamini:Yay.
Siham Lamini:Yay.
Siham Lamini:Yay.
Coco Sellman:And you know.
Coco Sellman:So I would just love to hear from you about a book that was written by a woman that has significantly influenced your life.
Siham Lamini:Yes, actually like the book that I like the most which is related to the city where I live is a house in Fez and it's written by Susanna Clark.
Siham Lamini:Susanna Clark has been a person who has changed my life and she was the reason why I was indulging the tourism industry as well.
Siham Lamini:Like her, like she lived in fest for years.
Siham Lamini:She knows like the ins and outs of us as well and her book has been always an inspiration like for me.
Siham Lamini:So I would say definitely not to miss read in this one if you are planning to come to pass because that's going to open your mind about learning a lot about what does it mean to have a house in Fez?
Siham Lamini:What is the culture, the streets and all of that.
Siham Lamini:It's like highly recommended.
Coco Sellman:Oh, I love it.
Coco Sellman:So a House and Fez by Susanna Clark.
Coco Sellman:I will pick it up.
Coco Sellman:That's so wonderful.
Coco Sellman:So I'm so excited.
Coco Sellman:Before we began, I was, I was, I was just talking to see him and we were talking about how I love, I've been wanting to come to Morocco and I'm sure our listeners are in the same boat.
Coco Sellman:So I bet we're excited to get into it.
Coco Sellman:But before we do, I really want you as a listener and a founder to not just sort of hear all about Morocco and what is here to offer because you're going to definitely want to pick up the phone and reach out to Sahim.
Coco Sellman:But think about why her business is so gosh darn successful.
Coco Sellman:And it's because she has this really clear market, she has this incredibly rich niche and she has designed this customer experience that is really, really, really deep and elevated.
Coco Sellman:And if we all did that, we would be as successful as Sahinas in being able to translate that into a highly transformative, growing business.
Coco Sellman:So.
Coco Sellman:So before we go in and I get completely lost in all the stories of Morocco, I wanted to just sort of bring that to the attention of our listeners.
Coco Sellman:Tell us about you and what inspired you to launch Morocco Travel Organizer and how did your experiences growing up in Morocco shape your vision for this company?
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:Thank you so much.
Siham Lamini:So like my name is and I really love travel myself.
Siham Lamini:I am a nadic traveler myself in that sense.
Siham Lamini:And what I've realized this is a couple of years ago that people when they travel like they just travel to see main monuments, like get to know the history, which is nothing wrong about it.
Siham Lamini:However, they're not seeing what it's behind the doors.
Siham Lamini:That's another thing you're just passing.
Siham Lamini:But what is the real culture of the locals who are living there there how their daily life is about?
Siham Lamini:So really it's about opening the doors and also like about making people experience.
Siham Lamini:But not just travel.
Siham Lamini:Like you ended up having like a 7 days package or 10 days package that it's tailor made just for you to be all about what are your needs, your desired and turn them into like real experiences to indulge like with the locals and have a lot of stories to share.
Siham Lamini:Because let's face it, we travel to share like stories.
Siham Lamini:And when we travel we would like to talk about what really touched us into that country.
Siham Lamini:So this is like the whole Idea I've been like, in the past working, like, for another company.
Siham Lamini:But once Covid starts, like, I've really, like, decided this is now the time for me to really sit and see how do I see myself in the next five years.
Siham Lamini:So this is where the idea of Morocco Travel Organizer come.
Siham Lamini:I love traveling and I love organizing and of course I love Morocco.
Siham Lamini:So it's my country.
Siham Lamini:So that's how the name has been derived.
Siham Lamini:Morocco Travel Organizer.
Siham Lamini:So organizing a travel.
Siham Lamini:Of course, I'm not going to say it's not that it's hard, but it's not that easy as well, because it's all about, like really making sure that everything is in order for you.
Siham Lamini:You're traveling without the need to worry about where you're staying, what room you are choosing, why you are choosing this room, like, what kind of transfer you are, including who are your guides.
Siham Lamini:All of these are crafted for you in a seamless way that you're just coming to experience it.
Siham Lamini:This is like the main idea.
Coco Sellman:I love it.
Coco Sellman:And for, you know, someone.
Coco Sellman:Someone going to Morocco has never been there, particularly women.
Coco Sellman:Right there you have certain interests.
Coco Sellman:You want to dive deep into the culture and at the same time you want to feel safe and, and you want authentic experiences.
Coco Sellman:Right?
Siham Lamini:1%.
Siham Lamini:Right.
Siham Lamini:I mean, like for women when they travel, safety is a key asset.
Siham Lamini:That's why I've spoken about accommodation, selected accommodation.
Siham Lamini:So as an example, there are a number of accommodation wherever you go in Morocco, not just in Fez, but picking the right ones that are first of all, like close by to the main monument.
Siham Lamini:So you feel the vibrancy once you're walking.
Siham Lamini:You feel that you are secure, you are safe, you can go on your own.
Siham Lamini:All of these, like, things we, I always consider, and we always consider as a team before placing anyone into that place.
Siham Lamini:And also another thing is when you're picking dates, sometimes, like as a traveler, you're picking a date, but you don't know what the date means in Morocco.
Siham Lamini:So this is like where our expertise come.
Siham Lamini:Like we're saying, oh, if you're coming during this time, it will be this festival.
Siham Lamini:Are you comfortable to travel during this time or would you like to change your date?
Siham Lamini:So it's all a conversation until, like, the person is comfortable to say, oh, no, I would like these days, or I need to change.
Siham Lamini:I didn't realize that my dates will come here.
Siham Lamini:Another like thing, let's pick just Friday, which is a day during the week.
Siham Lamini:Like people will say, oh, Friday is okay to include infants.
Siham Lamini:However, what people don't realize is Friday is a Muslim holiday, which means that all the stores will be closed in the medina.
Siham Lamini:So you're basically going to waste one of your valuable day if you are including Friday as one of the days to visit the medina.
Siham Lamini:So that's like, that's when people are coming and discussing with us.
Siham Lamini:We're always being open with them, how to work out your days as a woman.
Siham Lamini:Like, where you need to stay, what kind of rooms we're including, what types of guides we are including for you.
Siham Lamini:And if we have female guides available, we always love like a mixture, not just have a male guide.
Siham Lamini:Of course male guides are okay, but I mean, I always like people to see both visions.
Siham Lamini:How a woman thinks as a guide in Morocco and how a man think as a guide in Morocco.
Siham Lamini:So you end up going and then understanding the vision of living in Morocco as a man and as a woman.
Siham Lamini:Not just like women, but both sides.
Coco Sellman:I love that.
Coco Sellman:And you know, it's, it's interesting you say that what I was.
Coco Sellman:I haven't been to Morocco, but I've been to Turkey and I've been to Istanbul and it's there it.
Coco Sellman:We had a, we had a day where I.
Coco Sellman:We had a man and a day where we had a woman, and it was such a different experience.
Coco Sellman:Yeah, right.
Siham Lamini:And it.
Coco Sellman:Wonderful.
Coco Sellman:Both were wonderful.
Coco Sellman:But like you say, you get a, you get a different part of the culture, you have a deepened experience.
Coco Sellman:So, so what do you, how do you approach crafting travel itineraries that go beyond luxury to create authentic and transformative?
Coco Sellman:And what do you mean by transformative experience for your clients?
Siham Lamini:Oh, yes.
Siham Lamini:So like, how do I, like how do I do that?
Siham Lamini:This is like what I always do.
Siham Lamini:I make sure that I listen to travelers because travelers, like when you listen to the need in the market, you're turning them like into something unique and executive like for your traveler.
Siham Lamini:So like, someone may say, oh, I wish.
Siham Lamini:If I'm gonna do like, let's say if I'm gonna visit like a family home and do a cooking class, something like that, or a farm to table, like XP experience as an example.
Siham Lamini:I'm gonna give you like a living example.
Siham Lamini:Marrakesh used to be all about farm to table experience.
Siham Lamini:Because normally like Marrakech is the famous city in Morocco as a travel destination.
Siham Lamini:Some people know Marrakesh more than Morocco.
Siham Lamini: because first it's about like: Siham Lamini:So it's about Authenticity, culture and all of that.
Siham Lamini:And people start to say, oh, we wish if we can do something similar, like a Farm to table experience.
Siham Lamini:So that made me myself, like travel and go into the region that are close by and pick up like farms and talk to people and like, see how can I start like promoting for this experience.
Siham Lamini:And it did happen, like recently I launched farm to table experience.
Siham Lamini:And this is just in area, which is about 45 minutes drive from first.
Siham Lamini:And you go and you meet this gorgeous man actually, and with his wife, both of them together, and he's taking his ax, his little eggs and taking you into the farm and they're like, harvest and then see, oh, what's available during this season that you are coming.
Siham Lamini:So let's say we will have eggplants, we will have potatoes, we will have tomatoes, we will have chili.
Siham Lamini:So you'll pick all of this with your hands.
Siham Lamini:And then we take it into a spot where there is a carpet for like, like cushions.
Siham Lamini:It's nicely, like sit.
Siham Lamini:And then you sit with them and you start making your dish.
Siham Lamini:So we never know what you're cooking, but we are making sure that you are cooking on what's available on the day.
Siham Lamini:And then once you were preparing that meal, like, we're taking people to a cave.
Siham Lamini:And when I'm like, say in a cave, I don't mean a cave, literally, a cave.
Siham Lamini:This is a living cave where human being are living.
Siham Lamini:So it's with furniture.
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:And like it's beautifully designed from the inside.
Siham Lamini:You never know what to expect.
Siham Lamini:When you are opening the door, it's looking like a home.
Siham Lamini:But once you are inside, it's a cave style with a furniture.
Siham Lamini:So you're sitting with him and we're having tea, we're having pastries, we're having like nuts, let's say almonds.
Siham Lamini:If people are allergic.
Siham Lamini:Of course, we don't do that.
Siham Lamini:We need to know in advance.
Siham Lamini:And then we're taking them back to eat what they prepared during the day.
Siham Lamini:And just this experience on itself, it's transformative because what do I mean by transformative?
Siham Lamini:You're not just going and like experiencing, I would say a cooking class in Ariad, but you are going and sitting with a local, having a local person who is translating for you.
Siham Lamini:What does it mean for that person to live there?
Siham Lamini:What does it mean for these people to cook, how they are spending their whole day?
Siham Lamini:So, like, you're kind of really, like, I would say, being indulged into the real culture and that experience that's does Touch you into the heart.
Siham Lamini:Because it's way too different from anything you will experience around the world in that sense.
Coco Sellman:Oh my goodness, you've just transported me.
Coco Sellman:Honestly, I feel like, you know what, it's, it's seductive.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:And to go on a seductive, indulgent journey of the senses, of culture, of learning.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:Like, what a wonderful way to, to refresh and renew and you know, elevate who you are as a person.
Siham Lamini:Thank you.
Siham Lamini:Thank you.
Siham Lamini:I mean, everything impact your travel, meeting people, the smells, the colors, where you are and when you're coming.
Siham Lamini:Let's say when you're coming to Morocco, you're coming to a real historical place.
Siham Lamini:That's what, where you're coming.
Siham Lamini: So you're coming to a: Siham Lamini:I've had travelers who said, I feel that the time literally has stopped right now and that I am traveling back by a machine.
Siham Lamini:That's how they are feeling when they're coming here because they're seeing, oh, this is how the local are living.
Siham Lamini:Like some places are conservative, which is like beautiful just to be part of it.
Siham Lamini:Like, like seeing part of the faith as well of that country.
Siham Lamini:Like when you're traveling to Bali, you see the Hindu.
Siham Lamini:When you're traveling to Morocco, you'll see like how people are living and what are their faith.
Siham Lamini:When you go into India, it's the same thing.
Siham Lamini:Like just feeling, oh, I'm a part of this today, does really like, does really like change you.
Siham Lamini:And we always like travel for that change because we need something to add into ourselves.
Siham Lamini:I mean, something to change us as well.
Siham Lamini:That's what we are escaping like too well.
Coco Sellman:And I feel like it helps us come together as a world community too.
Coco Sellman:So often, especially as Americans, we're in our experience and sometimes we just assume the whole world's like this and whatever we experience in our lives, and that's certainly not true.
Coco Sellman:And you know, to be able to go and have such a human experience in a different culture, that's special.
Siham Lamini:Yes, yes.
Coco Sellman:Enriching.
Siham Lamini:I agree with you.
Siham Lamini:Yes.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Coco Sellman:And I feel like it somehow it, it creates peace in the world, right, by, by allowing us all to get to know one another and see each other's humanity and connection and celebrate what is different.
Siham Lamini:Yes, absolutely.
Siham Lamini:Like I've been like working mainly with the American travelers.
Siham Lamini:This is like my main market.
Siham Lamini:So sometimes meet them myself.
Siham Lamini:Like when there is an activity, translation or a cooking class.
Siham Lamini:I love what I do.
Siham Lamini:I'm passionate about what I do.
Siham Lamini:So I'm trying like to Deliver the best service ever.
Siham Lamini:That's like what I'm trying to do.
Siham Lamini:So by like just meeting like American travelers when they're coming here.
Siham Lamini:A lot of perspective do change a lot, as you said, because like, when you are living in a country and you're being disconnected from what's going on around the world, but you're traveling and then feeling, oh, I didn't realize how Morocco is safe.
Siham Lamini:That's one of the things that people are saying.
Siham Lamini:I didn't realize that this is a peaceful community.
Siham Lamini:I never knew, like, how is the hospitality here?
Siham Lamini:And it's not a fake hospitality, it's a hospitality from the heart.
Siham Lamini:People really want, no matter who you are, people really want you to have a great experience in Morocco.
Siham Lamini:That's like the main perspective of everyone.
Siham Lamini:Not just for the people who are working, were working in the tourism, it's everyone in the market.
Siham Lamini:And this is like a feeling that it's felt and not just said like, from, from, like American travelers, like feedback in that sense.
Coco Sellman:I love that.
Coco Sellman:I love it.
Coco Sellman:So I'm curious, so you talk a little bit about.
Coco Sellman:I want to talk about your business, the business side of you and your creation.
Coco Sellman:So you mentioned your audience is largely American.
Coco Sellman:Can you just maybe when you think about who your audience is, who is your primary core audience, knowing that you probably serve lots more than just that.
Coco Sellman:Like when you think of who the perfect fit is, who is your core audience?
Siham Lamini:Yes, Well, I mean, like my core audience are, I would say travelers who are ready, like to come to Morocco.
Siham Lamini:That's one of the thing.
Siham Lamini:And also like, who love traveling and having like, experiences and not just traveling in a rush or like I would say just going from one place to another to say, oh, we come to Morocco and that's it.
Siham Lamini:But really, like, have, I'm not saying a slow pace travel, but a travel that it's about seeing, like seeing the real country and seeing the real people.
Siham Lamini:Like, from my experience, most of my travelers are four years old.
Siham Lamini:Plus, this is one of the things.
Siham Lamini:And they are like, as I said, travelers who would love to do experiences.
Siham Lamini:That's another thing.
Siham Lamini:And travelers who would love, like to have someone in the ground, like working with them throughout this journey and then feeling safe that like whenever they need someone, they know that they're having it.
Siham Lamini:And I am always available.
Siham Lamini:Like I would say 24 hours sometimes in that sense.
Siham Lamini:Like, I've just hosted a group of people who were 50 and they were coming here to have a wedding in Morocco.
Siham Lamini:So I've assisted with A lot of activities and a lot of services and one of the things that people were saying, do you ever sleep?
Siham Lamini:Because when people are contacting me at 2am and this is like this is how I feel.
Siham Lamini:I feel this responsibility.
Siham Lamini:So when people are in the ground I my phone is always on.
Siham Lamini:So once I'm hearing a message, I'm responding because I know that people need to feel the care and there is somebody behind the scene that's really looking after them.
Siham Lamini:So those are my unique actually like audience and I'm always working with them on a personable level.
Siham Lamini:They are the people who would like to have a video chat with me before they come and they are sharing what they want, what they expect.
Siham Lamini:And I am sitting here and then trying to tailor make like their like their trip.
Siham Lamini:So it's not a ready trip.
Siham Lamini:Like when you are coming to me as C and you are choosing me, like we are talking, oh, you would love to come to Morocco.
Siham Lamini:So let me know.
Siham Lamini:Do you have cities in mind as an example?
Siham Lamini:What make your past travel like memorable.
Siham Lamini:So that give me an idea about what I do like.
Siham Lamini:Do you have a color that you don't like?
Siham Lamini:Let's say as an example.
Siham Lamini:Oh, you dislike like black color.
Siham Lamini:So I'll make sure the accommodation that I'm choosing doesn't have gray color or black color.
Siham Lamini:That's going to make you down during your stay there because that's always impact like are you a vegan vegetarian?
Siham Lamini:It's all of this kind of question that I'm sitting after like we finished this conversation.
Siham Lamini:I'm sitting behind my laptop and then I'm having my time, having a cup of coffee and then working on your trip, typing it for you literally not just like having it ready but I'm the one who's preparing it for you and send it your way.
Siham Lamini:Once you say oh I love it, let's go for it.
Siham Lamini:Then it's the time for quotation and I'm sharing with you what like how the quote works and what are the inclusion, what are the exclusion, what I don't like for people when they come to be asked to pay these small things.
Siham Lamini:Like I make sure that I'm covering like your entrance fees, like your fuel meals, like excluding lunches as an example unless you ask me for it, all of these kind of things.
Siham Lamini:So once you're coming all what you are worrying about is having my drinks, my lunches I would say and everything else like it's it for you.
Siham Lamini:That's all.
Siham Lamini:You just need to come and Experience it.
Siham Lamini:That's what it takes.
Coco Sellman:That's great.
Coco Sellman:So.
Coco Sellman:So you really, really know your customer.
Coco Sellman:And so.
Coco Sellman:And you started this in Covid.
Coco Sellman:You started.
Coco Sellman:You sort of decided that was the time to pivot away with working from another.
Coco Sellman:With another business.
Coco Sellman:So how did you grow your funnel of customers?
Coco Sellman:How did you.
Coco Sellman:How have you done that?
Siham Lamini:Yeah, one of the things that actually was great is word of mouth.
Siham Lamini:People traveled with me in the past, and they know me, like, by my name.
Siham Lamini:They come back to me to support my new business, and they are working as pr, I would say, for my business, to be honest.
Siham Lamini:I mean, I'm grateful for the amount, like, of word of mouth that they have been giving me.
Siham Lamini:Just this group that I was talking about, it was from word of mouth and reference.
Siham Lamini:And that's what I'm trying to base myself.
Siham Lamini:I don't like, I'm not working, I would say, on advertisements, a lot of advertisements, or like hiring public relation, which is not like, I would say, not like a discorrect.
Siham Lamini:It's like, it's another way of doing things.
Siham Lamini:But the way that I like is really a personable way.
Siham Lamini:People subscribe to me because they trust me.
Siham Lamini:That's like, what I like.
Siham Lamini:And I don't like.
Siham Lamini:I.
Siham Lamini:My vision is not like, growing quickly.
Siham Lamini:My vision is growing, like, slowly but solid.
Siham Lamini:That's like my vision, and that's what I'm trying to focus on, to be honest.
Coco Sellman:I love that.
Coco Sellman:I really do.
Coco Sellman:And it's.
Coco Sellman:I think it's.
Coco Sellman:It's a good message for all of the.
Coco Sellman:All of our listeners.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:That you.
Coco Sellman:You get to choose how quickly you want to grow.
Coco Sellman:And sometimes when you grow too fast, you.
Coco Sellman:You don't allow for the stability of, you know, the foundation of what you're trying, your vision, making sure your vision, your purpose, your values continue to be strengthened over time rather than diluted.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:So one of the things I'm thinking about is I've been working with a travel agency, and I'd love to introduce you to that agency that I work with.
Coco Sellman:Do you have.
Coco Sellman:Do you have relationships like that, or have those been effective for you?
Siham Lamini:Yes, I have actually travel agencies as well that I'm working with as a part of also, like, I'm a part of women like women groups.
Coco Sellman:Yes.
Siham Lamini:Feel like women are supporting women.
Siham Lamini:That's something that I like, that I love, that I like about the community.
Siham Lamini:So I have actually, I'm.
Siham Lamini:I'm B2B and B2C, like business clients and business to business as well.
Siham Lamini:And I'M always trying to make myself flexible.
Siham Lamini:Like both ways are great.
Siham Lamini:As long as someone is coming to enjoy my country.
Siham Lamini:This is how I see it.
Siham Lamini:So I don't put limits and say, oh no, just this or just this, but really make the door open and see what opportunities will like, will open up for you in that sense.
Siham Lamini:Right, yeah.
Coco Sellman:Well, and I know that, I mean we, we met through entrepreneur, which is a women's founder group.
Coco Sellman:And I really do think that like the founders group is a great, you know, women founders.
Coco Sellman:There's such a great audience for you.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:Because we're a little adventurous and we like to do things and a lot of times we've, we're, you know, we've, we, we're not totally risk averse.
Coco Sellman:So we've traveled and gone places and you know, we've had to have our mind expanded.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:So, so we're, it's a good audience and we don't want to just go and you know, sit and go from one thing to the next and check boxes.
Coco Sellman:We want to, we want to have an experience that changes us.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Siham Lamini:And also like being part of the community of a women community, it means that you're not alone.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:Like another thing, there are like others who are like entrepreneur, you see.
Siham Lamini:I mean I have the vision of entrepreneur as a woman in Morocco.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:But still like in a group with a lot of like from a lot of countries that's also like make you like realize I'm not on my own.
Siham Lamini:There are a lot of great women around the world who are doing the same thing from their different like perspective or their different work and they're trying to shine.
Siham Lamini:And that's what we are all trying to do is to shine really together.
Coco Sellman:I agree with that.
Coco Sellman:You know, it's such an important element for women in business I think is to have your, your women community, your entrepreneurship community that you're drawing connection and excitement and inspiration and and we really, we really have the power to support one another and make the world better.
Coco Sellman:Right?
Siham Lamini:Yes.
Siham Lamini:100.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:Most of the successful, I would say businesses right now, how I see in it is like the women who is supporting another woman.
Siham Lamini:And like if I'm traveling to the US or if I am traveling to another country, to Bali, I will look for a local women like who I will support because that's also like matters as an example, the u.
Siham Lamini:S.
Siham Lamini:Native person.
Siham Lamini:You will really show me what America is about.
Siham Lamini:That's what you show me.
Siham Lamini:And same as an example, let's say Bali or India If I am choosing, like, a woman there, she will really show me, like, what her country is about.
Siham Lamini:And like, we as women are pretty detailed.
Siham Lamini:We're not vague.
Siham Lamini:We love sharing details.
Coco Sellman:Isn't that true?
Siham Lamini:Which is wonderful.
Siham Lamini:This is like, why vision, like a vision from women, from a vision of man varies completely.
Siham Lamini:Completely.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Coco Sellman:Oh, I love that you've said that.
Coco Sellman:You know, and it's true.
Coco Sellman:We find we know, like, the specific chocolate that we like and we know the tea that we drink and know the fragrances that light us up.
Coco Sellman:We know we have that sort of different level of embodiment around our visions, and that's really, really wonderful.
Coco Sellman:So I wonder if you could tell us, like, what are some of the challenges that you faced as you've been building Morocco Travel Organizer?
Coco Sellman:What are some of the biggest challenges you've had to face?
Siham Lamini:I mean, I would say some of the bigger challenges that I've had to face is creating the company on itself.
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:Yes.
Siham Lamini:That's like.
Siham Lamini:That's the hardest part.
Siham Lamini:So just like the fact that they are a woman starting a business in the tourism industry, it wasn't supported by a lot of people.
Siham Lamini:So what I've picked, I've picked like, a woman who is an accountant here in Morocco and she is the one who supported my business until it become live, valid and licensed.
Siham Lamini:That's like.
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:So I've had to think out of the box to make it, like, work.
Siham Lamini:Really.
Siham Lamini:That's like another thing.
Siham Lamini:Also.
Siham Lamini:Also, I mean, gladly, that I've been, like, working in tourism before.
Siham Lamini:So it's like Morocco, like, organizer.
Siham Lamini:It's not like my first experience, like, thanks to the people who I've been working with in the past, they have supported my new journey.
Siham Lamini:So, like, when I.
Siham Lamini:When you are, as an example, booking transportation or booking a guide, people know, like, trust you.
Siham Lamini:Another that's like, that's valuable and making your community, like, together and engaged with what you do.
Siham Lamini:It's so important for me because it's not just about me.
Siham Lamini:When people are traveling to Morocco, this is not just about booking with cm.
Siham Lamini:Like, I appreciate and value everyone like you're meeting throughout your journey because they are the ones who are making your travel unique and making them, like, supporting my business.
Siham Lamini:That was also, like, I'm not going to say a challenge, but it was a step forward, how to make it happen and how to make it continuing.
Siham Lamini:And this is what I'm always, like, trying to do.
Siham Lamini:So when it's, as an example, low season, I always make sure that I'm like, talking to my community, it's low season.
Siham Lamini:I don't, like, have business at the moment, so they know I'm not using others.
Siham Lamini:They are my people, and they will be my people.
Siham Lamini:And when business will come, of course, like, you are the first ones.
Siham Lamini:So keeping your community engaged, like, important for me.
Siham Lamini:This is not a challenge, but this is a step.
Siham Lamini:But the main challenge was really, like, starting the company from the first place.
Siham Lamini:Yes.
Coco Sellman:Yeah.
Coco Sellman:Just getting it.
Coco Sellman:Getting the pieces of the puzzle so you could function legally.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:And that sounds.
Coco Sellman:Is that.
Coco Sellman:Do you feel like that's something that's kind of a unique challenge that you experienced being in Morocco as a woman?
Siham Lamini:It's a unique challenge because the answers for me was, is that you were never gonna get your license as a new company.
Siham Lamini:Yes.
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:That's why I, like, I need.
Coco Sellman:Wtf.
Siham Lamini:What?
Coco Sellman:Wow.
Siham Lamini:Thank you.
Siham Lamini:But I was literally thinking about.
Siham Lamini:So, like, that's why I approached it.
Siham Lamini:It's only left one day for my company to become legal.
Siham Lamini:I've only had one day last.
Siham Lamini:So, like, I went to this woman who is an accountant, and I told her my story, and this is what's happening.
Siham Lamini:And she said, let me go right now and get it for you.
Siham Lamini:And she went and she gets my license for me.
Siham Lamini:So I literally, like, was about not to have any company because of the laziness and the lack of communication of others.
Siham Lamini:But I was grateful for her, and I'm still, like, working with her because she made all of this happen as well.
Coco Sellman:That is so extraordinary.
Coco Sellman:And.
Coco Sellman:And, you know, I'm sure.
Coco Sellman:I'm sure you sing her praises everywhere, and I'm sure she gets, you know, I mean, I'm sure she gets lots of good business.
Coco Sellman:And we have to stick together, right?
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Siham Lamini:We have to support each other.
Siham Lamini:Refer, like, talking, like, about what you do sometimes, like, just like, a message, a thank you note.
Siham Lamini:All of these, like, make you feel I'm doing something valuable.
Siham Lamini:Like, you really, like, it's really remind women what they do.
Siham Lamini:I mean, when I'm sending you, as Coco, a thank you for having me today.
Siham Lamini:Just a followup message.
Siham Lamini:Thank you for having me today.
Siham Lamini:Like, this is, like, just for me from my experience.
Siham Lamini:It will brighten my day.
Siham Lamini:Oh, I feel the support.
Siham Lamini:I feel like.
Siham Lamini:I feel that this person really appreciates what I'm offering or what opportunity I'm offering, like, to her.
Siham Lamini:So.
Siham Lamini:Yeah.
Coco Sellman:Well, I think there's something very important about what you're saying here.
Coco Sellman:It's one of the things that I've found In my business and life.
Coco Sellman:And I've, you know, this is for Good is my, actually my sixth company.
Coco Sellman:But it's, it makes a really big difference the energy that you bring to what you do.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:So you could have a template.
Coco Sellman:Thank you.
Coco Sellman:Email that you have somebody else send out and it doesn't have the same impact even if it's the same words on the page as if you send it.
Coco Sellman:There's something to be said about that real authentic connection that goes into what you're doing that creates the transformative experience for whoever's receiving it.
Coco Sellman:And it is why we'll never be able to be 100% AI driven.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:We're always going to need to have authentic connection.
Siham Lamini:Human touch.
Siham Lamini:The human like you can send, as you said, I agree with you.
Siham Lamini:You can send me one email and I will say this is chat GPT.
Siham Lamini:This is a.
Siham Lamini:Yeah, but I mean this is actually one of the talks that I've had literally I would say a few days ago with five American travelers like and then like we were talking about AI and chat GPT and like we said we are the one who need to be smarter than AI.
Siham Lamini:AI is just like a robotic like platform that it's not going to have, never will have our human touch because like when you're hearing it from a human flesh, luckily not like a robot.
Siham Lamini:And then a thank you come in with words and heard and filled from heart to heart.
Siham Lamini:That's always touch you rather than as you said, oh, just like a template that I'm sending.
Siham Lamini:I do, I never send the templates.
Siham Lamini:I always even sometimes my emails are shorter.
Siham Lamini:But I'm saying oh thank you so much.
Siham Lamini:I truly appreciate it and it's with this passion because I truly appreciate it in real and not just like words written.
Coco Sellman:I would say that's amazing.
Coco Sellman:So I'm just curious for you, so for, for the founders listening and think about a woman who's growing her company, perhaps having some challenges and you know, what are your, what are the lessons you've learned from your journey?
Coco Sellman:What insights, what, what wisdom would you offer?
Siham Lamini:I mean the one insight that I would offer is never panic.
Coco Sellman:Yeah, right.
Siham Lamini:Panic.
Siham Lamini:Panicking really make you lose your mind.
Siham Lamini:That's what it does for you.
Siham Lamini:I mean when it happened, take a break, don't think about what's going on, the challenges that you're facing.
Siham Lamini:Distance yourself, do something valuable for yourself either like one hour swimming pool, go to a coffee and meet a friend.
Siham Lamini:I love laugh it out, take it outside, then come back, relax Sit around it and think, how can I fix this challenge?
Siham Lamini:Because like, nothing, I would say nothing in this world doesn't have a solution.
Siham Lamini:Nothing in this world.
Siham Lamini:You just need to find your way around it, that's all.
Siham Lamini:But to find your way and you are panicking, that's not going to let you find the right way.
Siham Lamini:It will just make every step a challenge for you.
Siham Lamini:So, like, a challenge need to be treated as, like a step that you need to overstep, but not as a continuous challenge in your life and in your mind.
Siham Lamini:Because it's all in our minds.
Siham Lamini:That's what it's about.
Siham Lamini:Once you're speaking about it.
Siham Lamini:Like you feel, I didn't, I, like this is happening to me.
Siham Lamini:I said I didn't.
Siham Lamini:Like, I didn't think that I'm going to think about this too much.
Siham Lamini:While it wasn't really worth it after fixing it, it wasn't worth that energy on that time because it was easy.
Siham Lamini:I'm the one who.
Siham Lamini:I was making it complicated.
Siham Lamini:So that's a lesson that I've learned myself.
Siham Lamini:That's why I'm sharing it.
Coco Sellman:Oh, that is a very rich lesson.
Coco Sellman:It really is.
Coco Sellman:I mean, it's, it really is.
Coco Sellman:Because everything is solvable.
Coco Sellman:If you just take a moment and breathe and like, call on your good senses and your wisdom and ask others for a little help.
Coco Sellman:Right.
Coco Sellman:Everything is solvable.
Siham Lamini:Sometimes ask your, the people with you.
Siham Lamini:I mean, never underestimate the power of brains.
Siham Lamini:Sometimes, like when I have a challenge, I will speak with my brother or I would speak with my friends or with my mother.
Siham Lamini:I'm close, but like, so, so, like, I'm just, oh, this is like, as an example, what I'm facing.
Siham Lamini:And suddenly this great idea can come, like, from someone who you do not expect that they will have that answer for you.
Siham Lamini:So it's like, it's not always like reaching out to experts, but it's like reaching out to everyone.
Siham Lamini:Just ask for, for help and that help will come to you, will come your way.
Coco Sellman:Yeah, I mean, I also, you know, I'll ask my, my guides.
Coco Sellman:Yes, right.
Coco Sellman:Like, let it, let it come to me.
Coco Sellman:Right?
Coco Sellman:Like, okay, I don't have this.
Coco Sellman:I don't have a solution for this.
Coco Sellman:I trust you're going to give, you're going to show this to me, right?
Siham Lamini:With the wisdom, wisdom of women.
Coco Sellman:Give me exactly.
Coco Sellman:Oh, my goodness.
Coco Sellman:So how can our listeners find you and go to Morocco and have an extraordinary, transformative, authentic experience?

Siham Lamini:That's always like, let me like be the one for them.
Siham Lamini:Also like my phone number is there and I'm available on WhatsApp as well.
Siham Lamini:So it's easy.
Siham Lamini:I'm just one email away in that sense.
