"If Jesus wept, you can weep too. Stop holding those tears in. Stop trying to be so strong for everyone else." - Wesleyne

"Jesus wept."- John 11:35

Wesleyne draws attention to the shortest verse in the Bible, "Jesus wept," highlighting Jesus's humanity and his experience of pain and sorrow.

She encourages listeners to embrace their emotions, emphasizing that it's okay to cry and to feel sadness.

However, she also notes that persistent inconsolable crying might indicate a need for external support, whether through prayer, loved ones, or professional help.

Wesleyne reminds us that God and our support system are there to hold our hands and dry our tears, urging us to release our emotions rather than bottling them up.

Takeaways:

  1. It's okay to feel sad and to express emotions like crying.
  2. Don't hesitate to seek support from God, loved ones, or professionals when emotions become overwhelming.
  3. Holding onto emotions can be detrimental; it's essential to release them in healthy ways.
  4. Vulnerability allows us to connect with others and receive the support we need.

Wesleyne (:

the shortest verse in the Bible that most people often remember is John 11 verses 35, Jesus wept.

And we know that Jesus was all human and all God. And God sent him on this earth to experience the pain, the turmoil, the heartache that we feel. So if Jesus wept, if he cried, you can cry too. Stop holding those tears in. Stop trying to be so strong for everyone else.

Stop holding your emotions at bay.

If you need to cry, cry. Jesus cried. It's okay to cry. It's okay to be sad. It's okay. When does crying become a concern? When does sadness become a concern? If you are crying inconsolably for a day after day after day.

then it may be time to tap into a resource that's outside of you. That resource can very well be God. It can be praying and saying, Lord, I don't know why I'm crying. I don't know why I'm so sad. Why I'm so heavy burdened and heavy laden. But today I ask that you take this away. That it can be your spouse.

your children, your brothers, your sister, a trained professional, a therapist, a pastor.

If you have so many emotions inside and you just don't know where to allow them to go, don't do it all alone. God wants to hold your hand through this. God wants to be there with you and dry your tears. And so do those that love you, your friends, your family, the people that are in your circle. They all want to.

Wesleyne (:

Hold your hand and be with you. So remember, if Jesus wept, you can weep too. If Jesus said, these emotions are so much and I need to have them come out, you can too. Stop being everything to everyone. Stop trying to hold down the world and bottle all of your emotions up. Release, release.

Release.
