How did you end up here?

WR: So, I'm from Detroit, Michigan.

We moved here in 2014.

My husband owns a tattoo shop.

and instead of after I graduated

from Eastern Michigan University.

With a history degree

and I was going to teach.

Then I moved here and instead

of teaching, I continued to

bartend and then my husband.

Said, Hey, instead of bartending

for other people, why don't

we just open our own bar?

And that began the process of

probably five years of looking for

places, trying to figure out where,

where we could, what we would do.

WR: And then I ended up working

actually here at the bar

that it was previously and.

When she didn't want the bar

anymore, I was like, Hey,

husband was the one that said, yeah,

the previous ownership and when.

LA Times opened and this place opened.

some people that shop with me.

little remodeling, right?

into like two different bars
