WHAT DOES JESUS VALUE? 

(Matthew 13:45-46 NLT) “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. (46) When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

(Luke 10:38-42 NLT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. (39) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. (40) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” (41) But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! (42) There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

JESUS VALUES TIME & RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU

(Luke 10:39 NLT) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.

(Phlippians 3:8-11 NLT) Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ (9) and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. (10) I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, (11) so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

(John 15:5 NLT) Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

JESUS VALUES GRACE & NOT WORKS  - LIVING FROM GRACE AND NOT FOR GRACE 

(Luke 10:40-42) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” (41) But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!

(Romans 11:6 NLT) And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.

(Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (9) not by works, so that no one can boast.

JESUS VALUES HIS PEOPLE 

(1 Timothy 2:3-6 NLT) This is good and pleases God our Savior, (4) who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. (5) For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. (6) He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
