Fear is the belief that something will harm you. Faith is the belief that something will help you. BB wrote that down one day and then noticed something in the word itself — belief contains the instruction be leaf. She looked up what leaf means. It means love. The word literally says be love. Then Spirit said but you're missing the whole point. Fear is not your enemy. Fear is your guide showing you where you need love. The angels always say fear not when they appear because they come embodied in your biggest fear to guide you to your greatest strength. Then the doctrine split the vessel — teaching good and evil divided the unconditional love frequency right down the middle. Paul connects it to the Venus split framework. BB pulls out a painting she made of her own awakening. The three of swords. Know thyself and balance your energy.

I have an episode called I Believe, and at the end of this episode, I say, God is pure love energy.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker B:Yes, 100 and that.
Speaker B:So I.
Speaker B:When I come out of the church, my wife and I.
Speaker B:This was really interesting because, man, when I.
Speaker B:It was so bad.
Speaker B:The.
Speaker B:The local newspaper, when I tell you I was.
Speaker B:I was a hometown hero in this town, and the local newspaper had followed me around and my ministry for 12 weeks and did headlines, like front page headlines on my ministry for 12 solid weeks.
Speaker B:So I became very good friends with the editor of the newspaper.
Speaker B:And right after that, everybody knew who I was.
Speaker B:I was on the news a lot.
Speaker B:I worked with the local.
Speaker B:I worked with the mayor and the police department and all sorts of things.
Speaker B:So I was in the news a lot.
Speaker B:And so everybody knew my face.
Speaker B:They knew who I was.
Speaker B:I had broken a ceiling in Mississippi.
Speaker B:I was a. I was a woman pastor.
Speaker B:That was unheard of.
Speaker B:I did it, you know, and I did that.
Speaker B:And people, you know, saw me as a hero of sorts, right, Because I did all this work with drug addicts and gang members and all this stuff.
Speaker B:So the editor of the newspaper was really good friends with me.
Speaker B:And he.
Speaker B:After I left the church, he called me and he said.
Speaker B:He said, pastor Brandon, what's going on?
Speaker B:I'm.
Speaker B:I'm seeing all of this on social media and I'm seeing all these.
Speaker B:He said, what's happening?
Speaker B:And I.
Speaker B:He came by my wife's gym and sat down and talked to me.
Speaker B:And I told him what happened.
Speaker B:And he said, do you want me to expose this?
Speaker B:And he was going to write a story about it.
Speaker B:And I said, no, no, I don't want to hurt the church.
Speaker B:You know, I built that ministry.
Speaker B:I want that ministry.
Speaker B:And the ministry is still going.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's blown up.
Speaker B:It's huge.
Speaker B:They, you know, they're still.
Speaker B:It's still going.
Speaker B:They erase my name from it.
Speaker A:I was about to erase my name.
Speaker A:Do you.
Speaker A:Do they give you your credit?
Speaker B:They do not.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:They took my name completely off of it.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:But anyway, he called me and he said, what's going on?
Speaker B:And I told him.
Speaker B:And then a few months later, he called me and he said, hey, we need to talk to you for a second.
Speaker B:And I said, okay.
Speaker B:He said, there's somebody from Showtime that needs to talk to you.
Speaker B:And I said, I'm sorry.
Speaker B:He said, yes.
Speaker B:He said, can I give them your contact information?
Speaker B:And I said, yes, you can.
Speaker B:And so they contacted me and heard my story, and they were in my living room one week later.
Speaker B:L Word, Ms. l Word on Showtime was doing a documentary, and they wanted to do a documentary about real life lesbians living in the world.
Speaker B:And so they got mine.
Speaker B:They'd been trying to cast this documentary for four years.
Speaker B:They had not been able to find.
Speaker B:Four years.
Speaker B:They found me and Susan.
Speaker B:And within.
Speaker B:Just, within weeks, we started filming the whole documentary and.
Speaker B:Go ahead.
Speaker A:When did you.
Speaker A:Well, when did you leave your husband?
Speaker A:When did that relationship.
Speaker B:We left.
Speaker B:I left.
Speaker B: the church and my husband in: Speaker B:Like, that was.
Speaker A:I left both.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker B:Yes, Yes, I love.
Speaker B:And how old were you?
Speaker B:I was 30.
Speaker B:30.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker B:2011.
Speaker B:I was 30.
Speaker B:Something.
Speaker B:38.
Speaker B:Maybe.
Speaker B:Maybe 38.
Speaker B:Yeah, maybe.
Speaker B:No, no.
Speaker B:28.
Speaker B:2000.
Speaker A:You see?
Speaker A:2011.
Speaker B:2011.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I was born in 74.
Speaker B:You do the math.
Speaker B:That's not my ministry.
Speaker A:Tell you.
Speaker A:2011.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker A:37.
Speaker B:37.
Speaker A:Okay, okay.
Speaker B:Yeah, I was 37.
Speaker B: didn't, I didn't leave until: Speaker B: So I left in June of: Speaker B:If I remember correctly.
Speaker B: I met Susan in: Speaker B: I left in: Speaker B:And so I did this documentary.
Speaker B:We started.
Speaker B:Nobody was out then, Paul.
Speaker B:Everybody was in the closet.
Speaker B:Nobody was out.
Speaker B:And my wife wouldn't even hold my hand in public.
Speaker B:She goes, oh, no, we don't want to offend people.
Speaker B:And I said, are you kidding?
Speaker B:I'd never, you know, and.
Speaker B:And we would walk into a restaurant.
Speaker B:People knew, and they would stop and watch us.
Speaker B:It was so uncomfortable.
Speaker B:It was so awful.
Speaker A:You know what I find finding interesting about your story?
Speaker A:Your north node is in the 10th House of Reputation.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker B:Wow.
Speaker A:And as I'm listening to your story, you.
Speaker A:It's all about reputation in a way.
Speaker A:You build up a reputation in something, and then you walk away from it.
Speaker A:Yeah, you built up a reputation.
Speaker A:Just say, in the drug world, Then you walked away from it.
Speaker A:It built up a reputation in the church, and then you walked away from it.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Well, it's almost as if.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And they was attacking your reputation.
Speaker B:Oh, my.
Speaker B:Yes, that was.
Speaker B:That's.
Speaker B:Yes, absolutely.
Speaker B:And that.
Speaker B:That is.
Speaker B:That's been in.
Speaker B:I've walked from.
Speaker B:I, I, I fight.
Speaker B:I, I would walk from one battle to another battle.
Speaker B:And so that's.
Speaker B:We started a recovery.
Speaker B:I'm not a recovery.
Speaker B:We started a support group in our house for the LGBT community, and we just put it on Facebook and our house was full.
Speaker B:We had 40 plus people in our living room every week from ages, all teenagers, all the way up to 50 and 60 years old.
Speaker A:Do you think.
Speaker A:Let me ask you this.
Speaker B:Go ahead.
Speaker A:Do you think that community drugs is rampant in that community because of not being able to be or feel the authentic self?
Speaker B:Yes, absolutely, 100%.
Speaker B:That's why I was.
Speaker B:That's why we were seeing so many people come through, especially during that time.
Speaker B:It was really, really bad.
Speaker B:Nobody was out.
Speaker B: We: Speaker B:We called it the Dandelion Project.
Speaker B: came out right in that time,: Speaker B:Ish, right around there.
Speaker B:And these laws made it legal to refuse business for someone if they were gay.
Speaker B:And so the queer community, we all just came up and came out and started protesting.
Speaker B:We would meet at the Capitol, we started protesting, we found our voices and we started, you know, doing all these things.
Speaker B: d so the documentary aired in: Speaker A:Oh, all right.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:When did you get into the things that you do at Red Jasper?
Speaker B: rch and it was, it was really: Speaker B: , we got marriage equality in: Speaker B: very first same sex couple in: Speaker B:And then they came out with another law that made it legal to discriminate.
Speaker B:Made it legal to discriminate in the name of deeply held religious beliefs.
Speaker B:So if you had a deeply held religious belief, you could refuse service to anybody, including, I mean, medical, anything.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B: ntiffs in the case against HB: Speaker B:And we sued the state of Mississippi and the governor over this law.
Speaker B:And so this, this was, this was, this was unprecedented.
Speaker B:No one had ever done this.
Speaker B:No, no, no pastor had ever choose.
Speaker B:No pastor or church had ever sued the state of Mississippi.
Speaker B:And we did that and we won.
Speaker B:We won Mississippi.
Speaker B:And the governor pushed back against it and we ended up taking it all the way to the Supreme Court Court.
Speaker B:And we lost.
Speaker B:And so that law is in, that is in the law books here in Mississippi.
Speaker B: So we did that in: Speaker B:We lost.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah, we, we won.
Speaker B:We won locally.
Speaker B:And then we got married.
Speaker B: My Susan and I got married in: Speaker B: And then: Speaker B:And we lost in the 5th Circuit.
Speaker B:The 5th Circuit said we didn't have standing.
Speaker B:And then we, we appealed to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court refused to hear it.
Speaker B:So I started, I was doing my church.
Speaker B:My church was just blowing up.
Speaker B:It was doing so well, you know, and you know.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That's one around one of the dates.
Speaker B:Yes, it is.
Speaker B:It is.
Speaker B:You do have those?
Speaker B:Go ahead.
Speaker A:Would you like to know why I asked you that?
Speaker B:Yes, I would.
Speaker A:You would?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Let me.
Speaker A:Let me show you why I asked you about that date.
