Sundance and The Hill: How One Place Can Hold Many Experiences

This is part one of a two-part episode, where I share how Sundance Film Festival reminded me of how each nonspeaker who goes to “the Hill” has their own unique experience.

While my husband and I were at Sundance, I noticed how everyone has their own unique experience—some people see multiple movies a day, while we mixed in snowboarding, work, walking around, and just a couple films. With so many venues, showtimes, and occasional Q&As with producers or actors, I had to plan ahead, deal with limited tickets, and choose carefully what felt worth my time and energy.

That helped me understand why nonspeakers might experience the Hill differently, describe it in different ways, and still all be having their own unique experiences.
