Jack Smith, the former special counsel who led two now-dismissed criminal cases against President Donald Trump, testifies before the House Judiciary Committee on Jan. 22. This marks the first time Smith has publicly defended his failed prosecutions in an open hearing before the committee.

On the second and final day of his visit to Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, Trump signed the Board of Peace charter, officially launching a new international organization tasked with overseeing the peace process between Israel and Hamas to end the war in Gaza.
