Melodie Cook is a long-time resident of Niigata where she teaches at the university. she is a writer for TokyoSavvy where she has written many articles on adoption and foster care in Japan. Melodie and her husband have adopted and fostered children in Japan and she runs a Facebook page where adoptive and foster families can give and receive information and advice while supporting one another.
