There's endless advice out there about how to run your business online, and absolutely no time, energy or childcare to act on all of it. So we're going to do the sorting for you.
Should I Care? is a weekly online business and marketing podcast with Sophie Griffiths and Ruthie Walmsley, for ambitious women building businesses online around real, busy lives.
Every week we take whatever everyone's suddenly talking about, the trends, the launches, the content everyone's copying, the advice that sounds clever but doesn't quite hold up, and ask the question you're probably already thinking: should I care?
Expect honest conversations, real money talk, strong opinions and the occasional collective eye-roll at the internet. It's not a tips podcast and it's not a polished masterclass. It's the actual conversation behind the polished posts.
In this little sneak peek, you'll get a taste of what's coming in episode one.
Meet your hosts
Sophie Griffiths is obsessed with working with impatiently ambitious women who want to build a business based on connection and depth and refuse to accept they can’t work less and still earn big money.
A fast talking scaling strategist who teaches women to grow their businesses with ads, offer they are obsessed with and marketing that actually feels fun.
Over the last 9 years she’s grown the business alongside 2 high energy girls, a cavapoo dog who doesn’t understand personal space, an ADHD diagnosis & strong (positive) feelings about trashy TV (yes Off Campus..) & salted butter.
Ruthie Walmsley is a storytelling strategist and recovering English teacher ( and deputy headteacher) who helps women turn what they actually think into content people can’t stop reading.
One husband, one son, one ridiculous puppy called Bernie, an obsession with storytelling and a CV that includes some of the biggest names in the online business space.
Follow Should I Care? now so the first full episode lands in your feed the moment it drops Tuesday 16th June. We'll see you then.

Sophie: [:
Ruthie: Me, Ruthie Walmsley
Sophie: We are, I mean, so incredibly excited. We have just spent 45 minutes basically prepping the show and talking through everything that we're gonna be talking about today. And what we thought was that we would start with~ a little bit about ourselves and ~a little bit about ourselves and how we g- actually know each other, and why we thought that this weekly show is going to be literally the best thing since sliced bread.
Ruthie: Yeah, so We were just talking about this actually, because Sophie was like, "How did we actually meet?" And Sophie was actually the first person to go through an automation that I'd set up for one of my products and services, and I was at the pub with my friends, and it flashed up, her name flashed up to say that she'd bought something, and I shit myself because I was so excited.
s just having a really great [:
Sophie: ~I~ i'd been stalking her on Instagram consuming all of her carousels and enjoying them so much.
I was like, God, I think we would just really get on. ~Like, I just really think we would." And I ~wanna kind of bring more storytelling in and work on my storytelling. So yeah, I booked this power hour, and then I was like, "I think you need to be the person who is in my mastermind at the time, and my mini mind."
And I was like, "I just want you in there helping all of my clients." So that's what we did. And honestly, we are actually quite a vibe. When I told all of my clients that we were doing a weekly chat show, the response was just like, "Oh my God, that's gonna be so good. What a pair." And I was like, "I know. Can you even imagine the energy in the room?"
vibe." I was like, honestly, [:
Sophie: Yeah, I'm so excited. So I guess we thought we'd just introduce the, ~the ~general concept. I mean, we don't really like being kept in boxes, and we don't really like being told exactly what we have to do, so we are not committing to ~any, ~any specific format other than we're gonna show up every single week to talk about what is going on in our worlds, in the online worlds, in the space of the women that we work with, and in our own businesses.
And we want to help you, I guess, understand, get an insight into what should you actually really care about if you want to grow your business, and earn more money, and ideally work less. Would you say that sums it up?
care? Do I actually need to [:
Sophie: Yeah, a hundred, ~hundred percent.~ I, and the best thing ~is, is that~ we're both incredibly nosy. So we really wanna know what is going on in each other's businesses, in each other's lives. Ruthie has already come prepared with like, "Oh my God, you announced this morning that you're going to Australia on a retreat.
