Transcripts

David:

And now for something completely different.

David:

Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.

David:

It's totally terrific, totally transforming, totally triumphant Tuesday as we find unity from the Father, through the Son and by the Spirit, all for the glory of God Almighty.

David:

First, get ready, crime stoppers, because here we are in Romans 8:11.

David:

And after discussing that we are alive because we've been made right with God through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, we find out that the Holy Spirit lives in us, not that the Holy Spirit's just visiting or checking things out and will leave after a short stay.

David:

The Holy Spirit lives, abides, and dwells in us.

David:

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

David:

Now, let's consider the most amazing element of this truth, which is simply this.

David:

The Spirit of God who lives in you.

David:

Get ready.

David:

Is the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

David:

This means that the very power that operated in Jesus Christ's resurrection is the same Holy Spirit that is operating in us daily.

David:

The problem is that we don't tap into the Holy Spirit and we walk around like chickens with our heads cut off.

David:

Not brilliant.

David:

Finally, this further strengthens the solid argument Paul has been making since the early part of chapter six, through the entire chapter seven and into the first part of chapter eight.

David:

The Holy Spirit who lives in us guarantees.

David:

Listen to this.

David:

Guarantees our resurrection.

David:

Just as Jesus Christ was resurrected with the same power.

David:

Which makes it even more apparent that we owe nothing to our old self and everything to living in the new.

David:

We have no obligation to remain in the old way of life.

David:

We can walk in the newness and power of life if we choose to do so.

David:

Uh oh.

David:

That means we have personal responsibilities.

David Spoon:

David Spoon's life has been an experience.

David Spoon:

While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.

David Spoon:

Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.

David Spoon:

The more he studied the Gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.

David Spoon:

After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.

David Spoon:

He joined KAM and this radio program began.

David Spoon:

You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.

David:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

David:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

David:

Here's what else we're looking at during the show.

David:

Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, so much more.

David:

Now remember, it's not professional radio.

David:

We've told you that.

David:

We already know that.

David:

The head jurors already told us.

David:

Right, the jury foreman.

David:

It's not professional radio.

David:

It's just radio.

David:

But we are asking you, what do you think?

David:

So you can email us during the show.

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

We actually think you will not get a shock maybe into your heart and mind, but not to your body.

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

That's right.

David:

Talking to Jim and Jacob is like sharing a cheat meal on your diet with your favorite person.

David:

Oh, that's nice.

David:

And I'll just tell you right now who my favorite person is is my wife, obviously.

David:

Noel and I will tell you what we cheated with over the Thanksgiving holiday over at last week.

David:

This is what we had.

David:

Now many of you are going to go, Dave, did you have pumpkin pie?

David:

Did you have pumpkin pie with some Cool Whip?

David:

Cool Whip.

David:

Did you have some?

David:

Yes.

David:

And then Dave, did you have anything else?

David:

We also had pecan pie.

David:

We had pecan pie and pumpkin pie.

David:

We had both and they were fabulous.

David:

I just want to point that out to you.

David:

All right, so here's what I want you to be aware of.

David:

There's a reason to give us a ring, there's a reason to send an email.

David:

There's a reason to send a text.

David:

And you may be thinking, ha ha ha ha.

David:

What is that reason?

David:

Excellent question.

David:

It could be that you have a praise report and you just wanna share it.

David:

And here we are, we're here to listen to that, to be blessed by it.

David:

Let me explain something to you.

David:

When you share a praise report and we're not trying to manipulate you in this, and I keep bringing that up cause I don't want you to think that's what we're trying to do.

David:

When you share it, it blesses other people.

David:

What a cool vehicle.

David:

What a cool place that we can bless one another.

David:

Isn't that part of what we're supposed to do?

David:

Be a blessing.

David:

You want to receive a blessing?

David:

Be a blessing.

David:

It not only blesses other people, it reinforces it in our own lives.

David:

When we share.

David:

And I'm going to share something that happened today.

David:

It seems kind of stupid, but it's not to me.

David:

And then it could be something that just other people are just waiting around to hear.

David:

More important than Any of that other stuff.

David:

It honors God when we share what he's done.

David:

So maybe you've got something you want to share along those lines, and it has to do with a praise report.

David:

Maybe you've got a prayer request.

David:

We believe God answers prayers.

David:

I believe God answers prayers every single day.

David:

That's what I absolutely, positively believe, that he's actually answering thousands of prayers every single day.

David:

But you have to be the people that pray it, right?

David:

You gotta be in the game, so to speak.

David:

So if it's a prayer request, bring it.

David:

Maybe you've got something you just want to share.

David:

It's a scripture.

David:

Cool.

David:

We're not against politics.

David:

Don't get that weird thing going.

David:

We just have a bigger focus on encouraging one another and strengthening one another.

David:

As we see that the day is getting closer and closer.

David:

That's what we're about.

David:

Okay, so I'm going to share my testimony real quickly on a quick answer to prayer.

David:

And then we have somebody on the line that we'll bring them on in just a second.

David:

So here is my prayer answered.

David:

So today on my birthday, which I am very thankful for today, I had to go to the eye doctor, and my concern was my eyes were really doing bad.

David:

And then I had a hard time seeing.

David:

And then I put on sunglasses and can see better.

David:

But then I noticed that I still was having some problems.

David:

And I talked to Noelle about it, and I was like, okay, well, I haven't been to an eye doctor in a long time, and I've got five pairs of readers all over the place, everywhere from 2.0 to 2.75, scattered throughout the universe, so to speak.

David:

So I went to the eye doctor, being concerned that it might be more detrimental than I was hoping.

David:

And so I just prayed and said, lord, I love reading your word.

David:

I don't want my eyes tagging out yet.

David:

We got time to go.

David:

Let's keep going.

David:

And so I got to.

David:

The eye doctor went through all this stuff, and she said, well, you need glasses, but not terribly.

David:

And I said, was there anything degenerating in there?

David:

And they did all this stuff.

David:

It's like, nope, you're doing just great.

David:

She goes, you have the same thing that Everybody has.

David:

It's 63 years old for the stuff inside your eyes.

David:

And so it's no big deal.

David:

You just gotta do these prescriptions, try these drops.

David:

You'll be fine.

David:

Everything will work out great.

David:

And I said, thank you very much.

David:

And she said, no problem.

David:

She did a great job.

David:

She talked even faster than I do.

David:

Which I really appreciated.

David:

And it was just a big nothing burger.

David:

That's all I wanted.

David:

That's what I prayed for, and that's what I got.

David:

And that's to the grace and glory of God.

David:

And I appreciate that it was that simple.

David:

And I appreciate that God put down the enemy's fear tactics against me.

David:

That's a praise report.

David:

Okay.

David:

All right.

David:

Just something that simple.

David:

Somebody is ready on the line.

David:

They want to pop on through.

David:

Let's send them on through.

David:

Knock, knock.

David:

This is David.

David:

Who am I talking to?

Ann:

Hello?

David:

Hello?

Ann:

Hello, this is Ann.

David:

Hi, Ann, how are you?

Ann:

Hi.

Ann:

I'm glad I got through.

Ann:

I tried to call last week, but he wouldn't come through.

Ann:

So I guess y'all weren't accepting calls cause of the holiday last week.

David:

Yes, ma'am.

Ann:

I wanted to.

Ann:

I wanted to tell you thank you.

Ann:

I have been listening to your program off and on.

Ann:

I had picked you up and at night, when I have problems sleeping, I listen to you at night time, but I can't call at night.

Ann:

So I said, well, I'm gonna try to get you today.

Ann:

You have people that call in and ask for prayer?

David:

Yes, sir.

Ann:

I am.

Ann:

I am a very elderly lady.

Ann:

I live alone.

Ann:

I have had no children and no grandchildren.

Ann:

And only family really close to me is my sister that she helps me out getting my groceries, you know, and helping me as much as she can.

Ann:

But I suffer, sir.

Ann:

And I don't take a lot of medicines and thyroid is my main medication.

Ann:

And so anyway, I suffer from worrying and depression.

Ann:

Okay.

Ann:

I live in the old house where I grew up.

Ann:

Like I said, I'm alone and I worry too much because I have problems of getting any help.

Ann:

And out here where I live, there's been a lot of homeless people come in, a lot of thieving.

Ann:

And I can't trust just anyone.

Ann:

And I close.

Ann:

It's wintertime now and you can't do really much and nothing in the winter.

Ann:

But I get real nervous.

Ann:

I just got through eating a little bit of over leftover Thanksgiving stuff my sister brought me.

Ann:

And I tend to get too nervous.

Ann:

And I've been learning some things from you, but it seems like when I pray, it's not, you know, not helping me any.

David:

Okay.

Ann:

I don't.

Ann:

I'm just in a spot where I don't understand.

Ann:

And I have called, you know, Dr.

Ann:

Charles Stanley, that passed.

Ann:

Yes, he has a prayer line.

Ann:

And I call and I talk to whoever answers sometime and they'll say a prayer for me.

Ann:

Well, it helps me Feel better for a while and then I'm in that bad state again.

David:

Gotcha.

David:

Gotcha.

David:

Let me say this, Ann.

David:

First of all, thank you for calling the show.

David:

The thing about you praying and then feeling better for a while and then you get kind of back in that place, that is a great indicator that you need to keep on having people pray for you.

David:

In other words, it's great to get that prayer, and it could be momentarily that you get some freedom from it.

David:

So my personal encouragement to you would be continue then to get prayer.

David:

Don't stop.

David:

And you're welcome to get prayer from this show.

David:

Like you said, Charles Stanley has that prayer line, and there's multiple prayer lines.

David:

And I would encourage you to utilize whatever prayer lines you can come across.

David:

And don't hesitate to reach out at different times to different prayer groups because you're getting relief when you're getting that prayer.

David:

It might not last long season, but that just means more prayer is needed.

David:

In other words, just if it's working for a little while, then do it more often in order to get more relief.

David:

That's what I would tell you off the top.

David:

The other part is you're 100% just.

David:

And I want you to make sure you hear this.

David:

You are 100% just like each and every one of us in this context.

David:

We pray about something and we get a little bit relief, and then sometimes we pick it back up, we start thinking about it again the same way.

David:

And that's a little bit on us because we're not letting it go.

David:

And it's hard from time to time to let things go, isn't it?

David:

It's difficult.

David:

So we're going to pray for you, and I want you to know that you're going to be on our prayer list like the people pray for.

David:

And we're going to pray that the Lord would help you with the worry and the anxiety and the depression as well as your health.

David:

And then he would also bring you fellowship.

David:

Okay, that's what we're going to pray for you in.

David:

Is that okay?

Ann:

Well, my doctor wants me to take depression pills, but I don't really like the way they make me feel.

Ann:

And especially in the summertime because I'm still able to do light work.

Ann:

My legs are very healthy.

Ann:

I do a lot of walking.

Ann:

It helps me feel better.

Ann:

And when the weather's okay, I pull weeds.

Ann:

That helps me.

Ann:

Helps get that depression out of me, doing that constant pulling and get my mind off of things.

Ann:

But then, you know, we're in the winter now, and I can't be pulling weeds.

Ann:

And so I just get.

Ann:

And, you know, I get some relief, like I said, but then it don't.

Ann:

And you mentioned about calling.

Ann:

I have called, sir, some other prayer lines, but they don't talk to you.

Ann:

They'll just say, well, okay, I'll put you on our prayer list.

Ann:

But it makes me feel better if I get to talk to a live person.

David:

That makes sense.

David:

You need fellowship.

David:

I mean, that's something that you need, is you need some kind of contact with people.

David:

So that's.

David:

That.

David:

There's nothing weird about that.

David:

That's.

David:

That's right.

David:

That's healthy.

David:

But I think you gave a little bit of your own answer, because what you said is when you're done pulling weeds, then you start thinking about the other things again.

David:

And so that means you've got to keep your mind occupied on things that are whatever is good, whatever is lovely, whatever is pure, whatever is praiseworthy.

David:

Those are the kind of things you need to think about.

David:

That's right there.

David:

I'm going to give you a prescription from Scripture.

David:

Okay?

David:

I'm going to give you a doctor Dave is going to give you a prescription.

David:

You need to read Philippians 4, 6, 7, and 8.

David:

And you need to read that once a day.

David:

That's your prescription.

David:

Philippians chapter four, verses six, seven and eight.

Ann:

Four, six, seven, and eight.

David:

Correct.

David:

Philippians four, six, seven, and 8.

David:

And you need to read that once a day.

Ann:

Okay?

David:

Now, I want you to do that for two weeks in a row, okay?

David:

And I want you to literally two weeks.

David:

That's your spiritual prescription.

David:

And I think if you do that, you're going to find you have a little more relief than you've had and a little bit more grace and operation of the spirit than maybe you've been operating in.

David:

And that we're asking the Lord to help you in that.

David:

So I'm going to pray that the Lord will use that to help you as well as some of these other issues.

David:

Okay?

David:

You good for that?

David:

You ready for me to pray?

Ann:

Can I ask you this, sir?

David:

Yes.

Ann:

I know you have people that call in for prayer, but it doesn't seem like it's the same people all the time.

Ann:

And I feel like I'm interfering if I call too many times, you know, and interfere because you're on the radio and you doing a lot of things, trying to help people.

David:

Well, here's what I would say to you.

David:

Let's start.

David:

You just made your first call today.

David:

Okay.

David:

So you haven't called the show too many times.

David:

In other words, you haven't.

David:

You just do your best, and let's start with this process and see if we can get you any better.

David:

That's what we want to do.

David:

Is that fair?

Ann:

Okay.

Ann:

Yes, sir.

David:

All right, let me pray over you.

David:

Okay, Ann.

David:

And by the way, thank you for calling, but let me pray over you.

David:

Okay, let's do it.

David:

Father, we come before you right now and we lift up Ann to you.

David:

And, Lord, we thank you for her.

David:

We ask you to bless her, we ask you to encourage her.

David:

She's trying to find a place of fellowship, Lord, because being alone is hard.

David:

And it is hard, Lord.

David:

It's discouraging.

David:

It's depressing from time to time.

David:

And we're asking you to lift that off of her.

David:

She's concerned that she's going to interfere too much or doing this too much.

David:

Lord, you be her guide.

David:

You lead her, you direct her.

David:

But, Lord, I've offered her your word as part of a solution.

David:

And I believe with all of my might that if she abides in your word, she will find great relief that will come from your spirit.

David:

And we are asking you, Lord, to help her when she's getting anxious and worried, that she would immediately turn her focus upon you and petition and talk to you and ask for the peace that passes all understanding, to keep her heart and mind guarded.

David:

And we're asking you, Lord, to push away that depression.

David:

And she's got physical ailments, Lord.

David:

She needs a touch in her body.

David:

Touch her in her body.

David:

Touch her physically.

David:

By the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

David:

Heavenly Father, send that spirit upon her and allow her to get freedom from some of this discouragement and depression and give her a fresh hope.

David:

In your faithfulness, we lift up our sister to you.

David:

We ask your blessing and your grace upon her and that she, Lord, would connect to you more deeply than ever before.

David:

Bring her also a place of fellowship where people can connect with her.

David:

Bless our sister.

David:

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

David:

Amen and amen.

Ann:

Amen.

David:

Amen.

Ann:

Thank you, sir.

Ann:

That was very nice.

Ann:

I thank you very much.

David:

You're welcome.

Ann:

I'm glad I got through and I got to accept your call.

Ann:

I didn't know if your show today is recorded or not.

Ann:

Sometimes, you know, I wake up at night and I'll listen to you, and then I know it's, you know, repeat, but I didn't know if I could get through.

Ann:

So I said, well, I'm going to.

David:

Try well, there you go.

David:

The Lord said, yes, that's your first answered prayer.

David:

From our perspective, the Lord answered that prayer, and that too is a praise report.

David:

So we're very happy that you called in.

Ann:

I've been enjoying your show.

Ann:

I like the trivia questions that you do, and I've been able to answer some of them just out of my head.

Ann:

I still have a pretty good memory for my age.

Ann:

I'm 81.

Ann:

Well, you're telling me that at my age that I need to be very thankful that I'm still able to get around by myself and don't have, you know, a lot of medical issues.

David:

Well, you sound great to me, so I think you're doing a phenomenal job and people in this audience will be praying for you as well.

Ann:

All right, all right.

Ann:

I appreciate it, sir.

David:

God bless you.

Ann:

God bless you, too.

David:

Bye bye.

Ann:

Bye bye.

David:

All right, that was Ann calling.

David:

First time.

David:

Super, super cool, right?

David:

Okay, so we're going to take our break and then come back.

David:

Who knows where we're going?

David:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David:

Short break.

David:

We'll be back.

David Spoon:

Can't stand the skill, can't stand the shame.

David:

But I want us to get this specific scripture, and it's really important.

David:

,:

David:

Abraham, in hope, believed and so became the father of many nations.

David:

Just as it was said, so shall your offspring be.

David:

Without weakening in his face his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead.

David:

Hey, it was not impossibility.

David:

God gave him a promise when he was 75.

David:

It didn't get fulfilled until he was 125 years between promise and fulfillment.

David:

God made sure he was good and dead before the promise came about.

David:

So that when Isaac was born, everybody knew.

David:

It's amazing.

David:

It's a miracle.

David:

Exactly.

David:

And it wasn't that Abraham didn't know he was old.

David:

He faced the fact that his body was as good as dead since he was about 100 years old 99 before the conception took place and that Sarah's womb was also dead.

David:

Verse 20.

David:

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised.

David:

It doesn't say that Abraham went through this and turned around and yelled at God and complained.

David:

He gave glory to God.

David:

He knew God could do this and he believed that the promise that God had given him was important and he held onto that even though facing the fact the circumstance was completely wiped out.

David:

Guess what?

David:

God showed up.

David:

I'm telling you right now, you can tell me all you want about circumstances and situations and your feelings and your processes, but I am telling you, when God shows up, according to scripture and according to testimony to the law and to the testimony, the scripture says, to the prophets and to the testimony, here's what you gotta be aware of.

David:

When God shows up changes everything.

David:

And you're thinking, well, will that happen for Easton?

David:

Scott I hope so.

David:

But guess what?

David:

If my daughter spends her whole life believing and Easton's whole life believing that God can step in and this can change, and that may yet happen.

David:

She's not done a bad thing.

David:

She's raised a child with this gracious hope.

David:

If God decides not to do that, instead of complaining about it, it's about giving glory to God, believing that he knows what is in our best interest, even when we don't understand.

David:

And yes, I get it.

David:

There are tough things.

David:

I went through a myriad of tough things, and I'm surprised.

David:

First of all, I'm surprised that I'm still alive.

David:

Second of all, I'm surprised that the Lord brought me through any of them.

David:

I don't deserve it.

David:

I'm not worthy of it, but he did it anyway.

David:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David:

Thank you for joining us here at Kam 770, the Truth Station.

David:

That's Kaamen 770, the Truth Station here in Texas, where we're having another unique show, which means nobody knows what's going to happen, including me.

David:

Only the Lord knoweth and he's not telling.

David:

Actually, that's one of my favorite lines from Gene Edwards.

David:

The Lord knows.

David:

He's just not telling.

David:

Here you go.

David:

This is a classic trivia question.

David:

Let's see how we can do on this one.

David:

Listen to the hint if you don't know the answer.

David:

Jacob had a daughter.

David:

Jacob, what's the 12th, had a daughter.

David:

What was her name?

David:

Genesis 34:1.

David:

Jacob had a daughter.

David:

What was her name?

David:

Here's your hint.

David:

Well, someone's in the kitchen with her.

David:

Do you get that hint?

David:

See, if you're older, you should know that one, right?

David:

Jacob had a daughter.

David:

What was her name?

David:

Okay, Genesis 34:1.

David:

Genesis 34:1.

David:

That is the question.

David:

Your hint.

David:

Someone's in the kitchen with her.

David:

Someone's in the kitchen with.

David:

Okay, there you go.

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

Or you can send an email davidmustincrease.org so the reason we're going to jump into our DNA, I'm telling you right now, is because this thing I'm going to share after is kind of an amazing thing, kind of a bizarre, not cool, not great kind of thing.

David:

So before we get to that part, I want to get to a better part.

David:

And a better part is DNA, because it's better than I am.

David:

Or the show is D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily, every day, spend some time.

David:

I just love that every day that N's in Y, spend some time with a guy in the sky.

David:

You just need to spend time with the Lord.

David:

Because everything else in your life, no matter where you're at, no matter if it's finances, its relationship, its job, its children, its parents, its siblings, its prodigal kids, I don't care what it is.

David:

Everything, your health, everything, the way you think, the way you process everything, everything is better when you spend time with God, period.

David:

Because you as the creation are connecting to the Creator and it aligns you.

David:

It's just the best way to put it.

David:

If the people that go to a chiropractor, you go in there and he kind of goes, works on your back and works on all that stuff, whatever.

David:

But the point is to get the person properly aligned.

David:

That's what spending time with God does get you aligned with your Creator.

David:

That's just key in breathing, which by the way, comes from the Creator too.

David:

D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David:

You're going to find out when I share this story after this why that is critical and we will hang over because of how important this is.

David:

But if you're ashamed of Jesus or his words, he'll be ashamed of you.

David:

And that's just as straightforward as you can get.

David:

If you are living for people, to please people, and you are living for the audience, you are not going to do well by the author.

David:

Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David:

People don't like it, who cares?

David:

They don't got a heaven to put you in.

David:

What do you care?

David:

There's only one, and it is Jesus Christ, and He is the way, the truth and the life.

David:

And no man comes to the Father, but through him people go well, that's mean, tough.

David:

You don't like it, tell God.

David:

Not my job.

David:

My job is just to repeat what he said.

David:

There you go.

David:

Never indeed draw closer to Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David:

A.

David:

Always be ready to serve.

David:

Are you ready?

David:

If the Lord wants to use you right now, are you ready?

David:

Well, Dave, you know, I'm not properly dressed.

David:

I'm asking you internally, are you ready?

David:

That's all.

David:

That.

David:

That's the only thing that matters, because we need to be ready to be used by the Lord for whatever, whenever, however, to be a blessing, to communicate whatever it is that the Lord wants us to communicate, to pray silently, to petition, to give, to serve, to love, to nourish, to cook, for whatever.

David:

I don't even care.

David:

It doesn't matter.

David:

Just being ready is the call from the Lord.

David:

That's it.

David:

I'm telling.

David:

When professional football teams get out there, I mean, they are.

David:

You know, they're pumping each other up before they go out, and then they get out there, and it's like, you know, let's get ready.

David:

Let's get ready.

David:

Let's get ready to play.

David:

That's what you got to be in the Lord.

David:

Ready.

David:

D.

David:

Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David:

A.

David:

Always be ready to serve.

David:

Okay, somebody is ready to answer, by the way, our trivia question, so let's send them on through.

David:

Knock, knock.

David:

This is David.

David:

Who am I talking to?

Ann:

Good afternoon, David.

Ann:

This is Deborah.

David:

Hi, Deborah.

David:

How are you?

David:

I'm doing really good.

Ann:

I hope you're doing okay.

David:

Thank you.

David:

I am doing wonderful today.

David:

I'm actually.

David:

I really was blessed by Ann's phone call.

David:

It's just kind of nice to hear, you know, that kind of thing.

David:

I just love the people call in that haven't called before, so that's cool.

David:

And then when I get to hear your voice, you are just.

David:

You're one of the legendaries.

David:

You are one of the legendary people on the show, and I appreciate you very much.

David:

Just so you can know.

David:

All right, let me get you set up for the trivia.

David:

Jacob had a daughter.

David:

Genesis 34:1.

David:

And I said something about someone's in the kitchen with her.

David:

What was the daughter's name?

Ann:

I believe it was Dinah.

David:

That is correct.

David:

That is absolutely correct.

David:

And I thought the hint was pretty straightforward.

David:

Someone's in this.

David:

Someone's in the kitchen with Dina.

David:

Someone's in the kitchen.

David:

I know.

David:

Whoa, whoa.

David:

Excellent job, Deborah.

David:

Excellent.

David:

So, all right, well, God bless you, too.

David:

God bless you.

David:

Bye.

David:

Bye, bye.

David:

All right, now let me do this.

David:

We'll go a little late.

David:

You guys don't care.

David:

All right?

David:

This is really important.

David:

I want to do this.

David:

And Aunt Deb will really probably be the one that.

David:

So Aunt Deb's realtors, for those that don't know.

David:

Okay?

David:

So she's.

David:

In fact, she's the one that got us our place, which is like, you know, how important is that?

David:

It's very important.

David:

Here is this story that is just so bizarre.

David:

So you guys have known, and I've been telling you and sharing with you that they're gonna try and make the Bible hate speech, right?

David:

Since we just got done doing our DNA.

David:

Don't be ashamed of his words.

David:

Right?

David:

Okay, here's what happened.

David:

This realtor in the state of Virginia, his name is Wilson Faber.

David:

He is a minister, but he is also a realtor.

David:

Okay?

David:

He does social posts, media posts, and so on and so forth.

David:

So he also does social posts for his ministry as well as for real estate.

David:

Has two separate accounts altogether.

David:

In his ministry account, he quoted Leviticus where it says that the Lord definitively, homosexuality is an abomination to God.

David:

They're fine.

David:

d he did this, by the way, in:

David:

So what has happened since then is he ran for public office and did not win and was defeated.

David:

Okay, didn't win.

David:

Not a problem.

David:

But somebody filed a complaint against him more recently, and the complaint is very specific about his beliefs, and the complaint is against the national association of Realtors and him as a member, that the scripture that he posted is hate speech.

David:

This is America.

David:

And he's quoting a scripture nine years ago, and they're trying to get him removed now for a scripture he posted nine years ago in his ministry against homosexuality.

David:

So you've heard me say, and with some ferociousness, that their goal is to turn the Bible into hate speech.

David:

This actual suit is specifically geared towards making the Bible hate speech.

David:

So his argument's got to be, what right.

David:

You're infringing on his First Amendment right.

David:

That's not.

David:

I don't even.

David:

I don't care.

David:

They're trying to make the Bible hate speech so it can't be used in public.

David:

That's what's going on.

David:

Right?

David:

His response, by the way, he said he believed the Lord has called him for such a time as this to be the voice of the Lord in this particular matter.

David:

His lawyer, of course, is saying it doesn't qualify anything along the lines of hate speech.

David:

But you can see what the enemy is trying to do now, the question is, is our faith strong enough to say, I don't care what you call it, it's God's truth and I will never be ashamed of it.

David:

That is the question.

David:

And by the way, this is.

David:

I mean, it's a lawsuit against the realtor group.

David:

I mean, the national association of Realtors.

David:

And it's just like, what?

David:

It's insanity, but it's demonic.

David:

But it doesn't matter because the truth never changes.

David:

Cultures change.

David:

Kingdoms change.

David:

Politicians change.

David:

People change.

David:

God's truth never changes.

David:

Romans 1:16.

David:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to the Jew first and then to the gentile.

David:

There it is.

David:

Isn't that just a sad story?

David:

All right, we'll take our break and then come back.

David:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the true station here in Texas.

David:

Short break.

David:

We'll be back.

David:

Don't go anywhere.

Jennifer:

Hey there.

Jennifer:

It's amazing Jennifer.

Jennifer:

And I am helping out the David Spoon Experience.

Jennifer:

As you may know, I basically run the KAAM radio station.

Ann:

Amazing.

Jennifer:

And Dr.

Jennifer:

Dave is looking for a few good people to join and become representatives, ambassadors, and stewards of this here radio ministry.

Jennifer:

Now, you may be thinking, well, I'd love to get involved, but I'm not very qualified for ministerial positions.

Jennifer:

Well, the truth is that because you are a child of our heavenly Father, that you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and you seek to live by the power of the Holy Spirit, you have all you need to be a part of this ministry.

Jennifer:

But, Jennifer, don't I need to be perfect?

Jennifer:

No.

Jennifer:

Just go to hemustincrease.org that's hemustincrease.org.

Jennifer:

click on the three lines at the top right of the website and then click on the Ambassador's Initiative link.

Jennifer:

Just fill out the form and we will reach out to you.

Jennifer:

But sorry, no parking tickets will be paid for you as an ambassador through this position.

Jennifer:

You are on your own with that.

Speaker E:

What is the Davis Boone Experience, you say?

Speaker E:

I'll put it to you like this.

Speaker E:

Do you love a good joke?

Speaker E:

That's pretty bad.

David:

What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?

David:

A hippocritopotamus.

David:

Come on.

Speaker E:

Do you love being able to ask questions, comments, or having someone to pray for you?

David:

Do you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question?

David:

We don't want it to die of loneliness.

David:

We want it to have a chance.

Speaker E:

And last but not least, do you love some trivia?

David:

Alright, we got our trivia question.

David:

Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?

David:

Somebody want to answer the trivia question?

David:

Okay, hold on, hold on.

David:

Here you go.

David:

This is David.

David:

Who am I talking to?

David:

We're talking to Mary.

David:

This is Al, this is Brother Ace.

David:

This is Eric, this is Deborah.

Speaker E:

Now if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.

David:

Think of me as the big brother that won't go away.

David:

That's me.

Speaker E:

Tune into the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1:30pm on 7.70K double AM.

David:

Hot topics.

David:

Pointing out inconsistencies is not disparaging.

David:

It's just the truth.

David:

Number two, our job, as in church discipline, is where you can't judge those that are outside the church.

David:

Number three, the people we were talking about were Christians anyway.

David:

Number four, you think this is bad?

David:

Wait, this just gets worse and worse, people.

David:

Regarding Paul's statement of speaking evil of leaders being inappropriate, the context is also critical and can be misapplied.

David:

Now how many times I told watch out for bad Bible brains.

David:

The David Spoon Experience.

David:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David:

There's Kaman 770, the Truth Station here in Texas, where I do feel confident we're going to get to the text at some point.

David:

Here is your trivia question.

David:

Okay, now this is a little funny, so just take it that way.

David:

It's a little bit that way.

David:

Don't get all offended.

David:

Okay.

David:

Pharaoh asked Jacob a question in Genesis 47:8.

David:

He asked him a question.

David:

What was it?

David:

Your hint?

David:

It is one of two questions you never ask a woman.

David:

Pharaoh asked Jacob a question.

David:

I'm doing this in a humorous way, so laughter.

David:

Pharaoh asked Jacob a question.

David:

That part's not the funny part.

David:

What was it?

David:

Genesis 47, verse 8.

David:

It's one of two questions you never ask a woman.

David:

I'll leave it there if you think, you know.

David:

-:

David:

You can also text in:

David:

Additionally, you can send an email david.org I'm going to send you out to the website.

David:

I'll make it very simple.

David:

If you can give, great.

David:

If you can't give, great.

David:

Pray for us.

David:

Can I make that any clearer?

David:

If you go to the website, you do not have to give to use the website.

David:

There are tons of audio, video, scriptures, articles and things on there for encouragement and strengthening.

David:

Try to check it out.

David:

I think it'll be a blessing for most of you.

David:

It's kind of goofy.

David:

ve had and there's only about:

David:

Does that make sense?

David:

Okay, great.

David:

Check it out on the website because we could use the help he must increase.org prayer request he must increase.org praise report emails increase.org looking to give to this ministry emails increase.org confused by what's happening right now.

David:

He must increase.org he must increase.org I declare bankruptcy all right, your trivia question.

David:

Now, I don't find this to be all that unusual, but the first three people that answered this question were all women.

David:

That I find funny.

David:

Your trivia question.

David:

Pharaoh asked Jacob a question.

David:

What was it?

David:

According to Genesis 47 verse 8.

David:

Hint.

David:

It's one of two questions you never ask a woman and the first three answers all came from women.

David:

Well, come on, you know that's funny.

David:

-:

David:

Verse 11 of Romans 8 the spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

David:

And just as he raised Christ from the dead, he will give life to your mortal body by the same Spirit living in you.

David:

I don't know how you can make this any clearer.

David:

I don't.

David:

I really don't.

David:

The Holy Spirit of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

David:

One in three, three and one.

David:

The most amazing element is the Holy Spirit of God lives inside of you.

David:

You accepted the testimony, you acknowledged the testimony you received the testimony, you yielded, submitted, repented upon whatever it is you want to use for your phrasing.

David:

Congratulations.

David:

You got there and you said yes.

David:

As Jesus to be Lord and savior of your life and Jesus lives in your heart by faith.

David:

Why do we say that?

David:

Because he's at the right hand of the Father, interceding for the saints in his stead.

David:

The Holy Spirit has been sent.

David:

That's why Jesus ascended so that the Holy Spirit can descend and he is fulfilling the continual ministry of Jesus Christ on earth.

David:

The Holy Spirit doesn't live in you by faith.

David:

The Holy Spirit lives in you, actually.

David:

Which is why you are the actual temple.

David:

Not philosophically, not imagery wise, not.

David:

You know, we're trying to make an Illustration here.

David:

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

David:

The Holy Spirit lives inside of you.

David:

Actually placed there by God himself, God the Father given through Jesus Christ, who ascended to the right hand of God and is at the right hand interceding for our saints.

David:

The Holy Spirit actually lives inside of you.

David:

You are the temple.

David:

This is why there's so much.

David:

And people get all weirded out or something and it's like, why is that even weird?

David:

Jesus in a glorified body could not cover the same amount of space the Holy Spirit can cover.

David:

And so the ministry of God continues through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, to reach as many as can be reached.

David:

And yes, I like some of the illustrations.

David:

You might not like them.

David:

I like them.

David:

I like the illustration.

David:

Holy Spirit's like sunshine.

David:

People sometimes they stick in the shadows.

David:

Other people come out and let the warmth touch their face.

David:

Perfect.

David:

Sounds good to me.

David:

What's the problem with that?

David:

And so the idea is that the spirit of the living God is inside of you.

David:

He's not visiting.

David:

He doesn't just show up when you do something wrong, although he often shows up.

David:

Then what I'm saying is often, you know, manifest that it's the Holy Spirit abides in you.

David:

The word abide means to dwell, to make a home in.

David:

And he's inside of you.

David:

Now what's hugely important about that is that there is this element of God that is inside of you which is proof that you are His.

David:

That's the ticket.

David:

The proof that you are God's property is because part of God is in you.

David:

So what does that mean?

David:

Well, that means we should probably work at doing better, a little better, since the very power that gives us the ability not to fall apart and do things is inside of us.

David:

And maybe we should, I don't know, tap into it kind of thing, mentality, thought process there, maybe just a little woocoo bee.

David:

Yeah.

David:

In other words, the Lord God Almighty is inside of us through the presence of the Holy Spirit, and we should be aware of that.

David:

But when we come back, because I'm going to take a break and come back to this last point after I share the trivia answer.

David:

But we come back, the next part of it is even more phenomenal, as though that was possible, which I'm not even sure it is possible, but okay, let me just go back to this question.

David:

Pharaoh asked Jacob a question, Genesis 47:8.

David:

What was it?

David:

One of two questions you never ask a woman.

David:

The question that he asked was, how old are you?

David:

I will tell you now that Is one question you do not ask if you want to keep both your eyes without little black and blue marks.

David:

The other question is, you already know what the other question is.

David:

I'm not even going to bring it up.

David:

But the answer to the trivia question Pharaoh asked Jacob, how old are you?

David:

Something you should never ask a woman.

David:

Thank you.

David:

All right, we'll take our break and then come back.

David:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David:

Short break, we'll be back.

David:

Don't go anywhere.

David:

What is the David Spoon Experience anyway?

David:

That's not even the story.

David:

Let me tell you the story.

David:

Because it's so big.

David:

I cut the first third yesterday.

David:

And that's the front of the house and the back two thirds I'll do today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, whatever that is.

David:

But it looks really good.

David:

All right, so that's cool.

David:

Anyhow, there's.

David:

So I'm cleaning it all up, and I've got the little electric weed eater and the little blower.

David:

They're working.

David:

It works great.

David:

Everything's working great.

David:

And I have a stick.

David:

Now, this stick was there when we moved into the house, and it was a stick that went with a broken rake.

David:

And I don't know why.

David:

My wife and I have kept it in the garage for like 17 months.

David:

Months.

David:

But I thought, this is ridiculous.

David:

I got to get rid of this stick.

David:

So I looked at the stick and I thought, I could high karate this because it wouldn't fit in the trash can, right?

David:

A little too long.

David:

You put it in the trash can, even on an angle, the trash can sitting up about 4 inches.

David:

And, you know, it was windy yesterday.

David:

So if I did that to catch the wind.

David:

And you know, so I thought, nigh, I can high karate this.

David:

I'm strong enough.

David:

And then I thought, this is the kind of thing where pride really gets in the way.

David:

I gotta be careful.

David:

So I did what any other guy would do.

David:

I took my two trash cans, I put the stick in between the two trash cans, I took a saw and I cut the saw half.

David:

I used the saw and cut the stick halfway through.

David:

So now I'm gonna high karate this bad boy and feel good about it.

David:

Yeah, no pride here, right?

David:

How long do I got?

David:

Like a minute.

David:

Two minutes.

David:

Perfect.

David:

Two minutes.

David:

Watch this.

David:

So I cut it perfectly in half.

David:

I get my arm, my forearm, my elbow, and I go, hi, Yah.

David:

And I high karate that bad boy.

David:

One part of the two part sticks okay.

David:

Which is like kind of like a broom handle.

David:

Hits the top of the trash can where it was sitting, kind of bounced on it, came up and hit me right in the forehead.

David:

Bam.

David:

I was really feeling pride right up until it hit me in the head.

David:

And then I realized one, I couldn't have done it without the saw and two, even with the saw, apparently I couldn't have done it because the stick hit me back.

David:

I don't think that was very nice of it.

David:

And I will say it did end up in the trash and it went bye bye.

David:

And if you can't shout sight, you'll have to face a penalty.

David:

Oh.

David:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David:

That's Kaaman 770, the True Station here in Texas.

David:

True or False?

David:

Jacob was 147 years old when he died.

David:

True or false?

David:

Genesis:

David:

True or false?

David:

Jacob was 147 years old when HE died.

David:

True or false?

David:

Genesis:

David:

If you think you know.

David:

-:

David:

-:

David:

Additionally, you can send an email David must increase.org we are going to do history real quickly.

David:

Let's go live big him look past.

David:

Let's go live.

David:

Fake.

David:

Him look past.

David:

Guys.

David:

So there are some cool things in history.

David:

It is my birthday for those that do not know.

David:

And I thought this was really kind of a cool thing regarding my birthday.

David:

Today is national be a blessing day, which is like.

David:

That's cool.

David:

Yeah, that's a good one.

David:

Yeah, that's a good one.

David:

I'm sharing that with that be a blessing day.

David:

Got it.

David:

Love it.

David:

Okay.

David:

The other thing to tell you from a football point of view, I care about this.

David:

Maybe Cory will care about this.

David:

s the Heisman trophy award in:

David:

Anyhow.

David:

Have you seen his stats at that Heisman year?

David:

Oklahoma State.

David:

Crazy stat.

David:

Crazy guy.

David:

I mean, it's just crazy.

David:

That's the guy.

David:

He's the guy.

David:

For real.

David:

Would not take his paycheck from the Lions until they sent the first 10% to his church.

David:

That's man.

David:

That's commitment.

David:

Right?

David:

Don't you love that?

David:

I love that.

David:

All right.

David:

The other thing is now I'm not as thrilled about this.

David:

So don't get mad at me because I'm not as thrilled.

David:

But it's National Green Bean Casserole Day.

David:

I guess that's good.

David:

And then also finally, National Roof over your Head Day.

David:

That's for the history.

David:

Don't get too excited about that.

David:

There you go.

David:

Okay, so in lieu of all that, we do have a trivia question.

David:

Somebody ready to answer a trivia question?

David:

So let's do this.

David:

Let's send them on through.

David:

Knock, knock.

David:

This is David.

David:

Who am I talking to?

David:

Hi, David.

David:

This is Fred.

David:

Hey, Fred.

David:

How are you?

Ann:

I'm doing fine, sir.

David:

Awesome, brother, awesome.

David:

Good to hear you, my friend.

David:

Good to hear you.

David:

Let me set up the question for you, which I don't think will be too difficult.

David:

Here we go.

David:

Jacob was 147 years old when he died.

David:

According to Genesis:

David:

Is that true or false?

David:

That would be true.

David:

You are correct.

David:

Abundant.

David:

And this is the season where everybody started dying earlier and earlier and earlier and earlier.

David:

And Ferris, like, going, how old are you?

David:

It's like.

David:

And you know, you know, he didn't just go, how old are you?

David:

He's like, how old are you?

David:

Like, wow.

David:

Right?

David:

I mean, amazing stuff, right?

Ann:

Absolutely.

David:

Excellent, brother.

David:

Excellent.

David:

Excellent job.

Ann:

I'll hang up.

David:

All right, brother.

David:

God bless you.

David:

Nice job, my friend.

David:

How old are you?

David:

Only we would do it this way, dude.

David:

How old are you?

David:

All right, anyway.

David:

All right, let me just finish this off.

David:

So we just finished this one section.

David:

I want to do it again and make sure you get it.

David:

The spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

David:

And just as he raised Christ from the dead, he will give life to your mortal body by the same spirit living within you.

David:

So why this is critical and crucial and important is this.

David:

This is why it's emphatically critical to understand that the Holy Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

David:

Your faith is geared on this.

David:

You believe Jesus rose from the dead.

David:

It's by the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus rose from the dead.

David:

He's the same Holy Spirit in you that will give you immortality and raise you from the dead.

David:

Our mortal bodies will be energized and brought back to life by the exact same Holy Spirit as did it for Jesus.

David:

Are you getting that?

David:

If we actually lived this biblical truth, that the spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same spirit that's going to raise you and I from the dead, if we actually functioned in that, we would have a lot more confidence in God for everything.

David:

Not for Some things for everything.

David:

Because the Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you.

David:

That takes down the worry anxiety button quite a bit.

David:

Because eternal life is waiting to be expressed in a new way in your life by the Holy Spirit that's inside of you.

David:

You are going to live forever and it is going to be awesome.

David:

Let me tell you something.

David:

Your body will be able to spend.

David:

Your resurrected being will be able to spend eternity with God without any kind of reduction.

David:

You as a mortal will put on immortality.

David:

That is how powerful it is.

David:

And so then you're sitting there going through problems of how am I going to do this, how am I going to get through this, how do I talk to this, what do I do here, how do I handle this, how do this?

David:

And there's the same Holy Spirit that rose Jesus Christ from the dead living inside of you.

David:

You should just be like, you know what?

David:

I'm going to stop living according to the flesh.

David:

I'm going to live by the influence of the Holy Spirit.

David:

Because I've read, and by the way, we already covered this, that the result of that is life and peace.

David:

That's a good idea.

David:

Maybe we should all sign up on that and go with that type of thinking.

David:

I don't know.

David:

Could be simply the truth.

David:

All right folks, you have been listening to the David Spoon experience radio on KAM 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David:

22 and a half hour break, then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.

David:

Talk to you then.

David:

Destroying everyone and everything in life.

David Spoon:

He's the hungry giant.

David Spoon:

He's the hungry giant.

David:

Oh, he's hard to resist.

David:

The views expressed on the preceding program.

Jennifer:

Were those of the speakers and not.

David:

Necessarily those of K aam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
