Section 1

A closed door can become the very means God uses to redirect His people toward something He prepared long beforehand. Dr. Dave shares from his devotional “Divine Redirection,” recalling how the closing of KAAM eventually brought to life a vision he had written down thirteen years earlier for a live Internet-based Christian station combining teaching, music, comedy, and ministry. What initially appeared to be a loss became the beginning of something God brought together in only one hundred days. The lesson is to remain faithful when the pathway is unclear, trusting that what God plants may remain unseen for years before suddenly sprouting in its appointed season.

Section 2

Miracles should awaken praise because they reveal God’s loving involvement in the everyday lives of His children. Luke describes the disciples joyfully praising God with loud voices because of the miracles they had witnessed, and Dr. Dave reminds believers not to restrict miracles to dramatic events occurring in churches or from pulpits. Salvation itself is miraculous—those once dead to God have been made alive in Christ. Answered prayers, unmistakable divine intervention, and even loving discipline can also reveal His hand. God works personally and continually, and when His activity becomes evident, believers should recognize it for what it is and freely give Him the praise He deserves.

Section 3

Deuteronomy presents an extraordinary description of God’s people: they are His treasured possession, set apart specifically for Him. Dr. Dave explains that everyone ultimately serves someone, whether sin and self or the righteousness of God. Yet surrendering to the Lord means belonging to the One who purchased His people at the greatest possible price—the blood of Jesus Christ. God marks believers as His own, and holiness reflects being separated unto Him rather than achieving some artificial picture of human perfection. Christians therefore live as God’s personal possession, belonging completely to Him. And if people naturally protect what belongs to them, how much more does God value and care for those whom He has made His own.
