We're not in the business of babysitting – forget Gardner Minshew and Josh Downs; you snooze, you lose, baby! It's all about striking while the iron's hot.

Starting with the running back battlefield, it's a wild west in LA. Kyler Williams is out, but it's not Mr. Irrelevant, Zach Evans, who's taking the reins. Daryl Henderson is the top dog, and Royce Freeman's his trusty sidekick. Zach Evans? Well, he's third-string material.

Over in Cleveland, we've got Pierre Strong. The Browns' backfield is more tangled than a jungle vine, especially with Jerome Ford nursing injuries. Pierre is as athletic as they come, ready to share the load.

In Green Bay, it's next man up. Jaden Reed is the Packers' best bet as injuries strike. Forget Romeo Dobbs; Reed's the real deal. You'll want him on your bench pronto. 🧀

New England's Belichick is all about embracing the future. Demario Douglas is the embodiment of athleticism, and Bill's not blind to it. Catch the wave before it's too late! 🌊

Now, for the grand finale - the tight end. Taysom Hill, the ultimate gamble, might just be your golden ticket. Whether he's throwing, catching, or rushing, he's a fantasy roulette wheel you've got to spin!

Oh, and if you've got an empty IR spot, scoop up Kyler Murray! The Cardinals might just be pulling your leg about QB1, but hey, worth the stash, right?

Lastly, a quarterback toss-up. Malik Willis or Will Levees, Titans fans, it's time to open that playbook and pray for redemption. Tannehill's out, and it's 'tryout time' in Tennessee. Flip that coin or roll the dice – Malik's the safer bet!

Week 8, folks – there may not be many hidden gems left, but you might just dig up some fantasy gold. Remember, grab 'em before your rivals do!

Week 8 Waiver Wires

Welcome back to the island. It's your boy Bombo here. It officially is the end of week 7. We're going into week 8 and we're starting off with the Waver Wire.

Let me start off by saying, when it comes to the Fantasy Island Waver Wire, we're not going to keep on telling you the same old names. I just recently watched a video. Um, you know, getting some waiver wire suggestions from somewhere off the island and they keep on talking about guys that they've been talking about for the past three weeks.

So I'm not going to go over Gardner Minshew and Josh Downs because we told you weeks ago to pick up these guys. We're not going to keep on telling you to pick up guys until their roster ownership goes up. We don't care. We're going to give you the names when you need to pick them up.

That's when you pick them up. If you didn't do it, then you let somebody else do it. So we're going to get right into it. But before as always, like follow, subscribe, and comment to everything. Fantasy Island podcast. That is Fantasy Island with two I's and let's get into it.

Week 8 waiver wires start at the running back position. Always a volatile position. Always good to have extra running backs. We're going to start off in LA. Where we found out exactly what the answer was for Kyler Williams going on ir, and the answer is not Zach Evans.

But it's a combination of Daryl Henderson and Royce Freeman. I'm going to suggest going with Daryl Henderson as the starter, Royce Freeman as the handcuff. But you may see a two headed snake in this backfield. But Daryl Henderson will get the more fantasy friendly touches, the gold line looks, and the pass catching work.

So go Daryl Henderson 1, Royce Freeman 2. And it looks like Zach Evans is stuck being the third string running back again. Staying at the running back position in Cleveland, Pierre Strong is a recommended wave of wire pickup. A, Jerome Ford went out with an injury in that game. It's looking like an ankle sprain.

We'll find out more during the week where we will give you the latest on fantasy injuries. When Jerome Ford went out of the game, Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong split carries, Pierre Strong is very athletic, hits the hole hard, and they traded to get Pierre Strong from the Patriots, and I expect this to be a committee approach just because Kareem Hunt isn't exactly hit at his 100 percent healthiest right now.

He was limited all last week in practice, so give me Pierre Strong from the Browns, being able to come in, split carries, and probably get some goal line work. At the wide receiver position, Jaden Reed from the Green Bay Packers. This is just a next man up scenario because at the end of the game versus the Broncos in week seven we saw Luke Musgrave go down and we saw Watson go down.

Jaden Reed is the better receiver out of everyone that's left and that is including Romeo Dobbs He's just a better route runner more crisp more athletic Jaden Reed will see an uptick in In targets and looks, if, especially if Musgrave and Watson cannot play in the next week, go ahead and get Jaden Reed, put him on your bench.

If these other guys don't play, he's someone that you can't start immediately. Staying at the wide receiver position in New England, we have Demario Douglas. He went for a modest four catches with 54 yards on six targets in a 20 yard rush, but we know that Bill Belichick is an old school coach, and what do old school coaches do?

They go with what wins games. What won them this last game? was getting the ball in the hands of their athletic playmakers, to Mario Douglas being one of them. He gets the ball in different ways, like we said, he had a 20 yard rush. Six targets is not nothing. Get to Mario Douglas as this offense tries to figure out who their playmakers are.

It's better to be earlier than late.

At the tight end spot, I got one name for you, and it's an old classic, Mr. Taysom Hill. Taysom Hill has 12. 5 points. And, 16. 8 points in consecutive weeks, that puts him in the mix as a top 5 tight end right now, as crazy as that may sound.

You have the chance of him getting a passing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, or a rushing touchdown because of how they use him at the goal line and within the red zone. He's the ultimate gamble, anyone that's ever been a Taste Some Hill owner before knows he can get you 1 or he can get you 30 at the tight end position.

It's all up to you if you want to roll the dice. Those who are willing to put their coconuts out there, grab Taste Some Hill, especially if you're streaming tight ends, he could be someone that gives you a little bit more, solid options at the tight end position.

At the quarterback position, gonna give you a bonus IR stash if your league mates aren't hip to Kyler Murray and he has the IR by his name in your league, go ahead and pick him up and put him on your IR spot on your team. If you have that, hopefully you do you play with savvy owners.

Kyler Murray is still Kyler Murray. He has the athletic ability. Uh, we want, still want to wait and see what's going to happen coming off of this injury. But what we have heard is the Cardinals still want to use him. The Cardinals still believe he is QB1 and they're going to build around him. That may just be what they're saying in the media.

They may still be tanking. They may be trying to get one of these quarterbacks coming into the draft next year. Or maybe they're telling the truth and they are going to roll with Kyler. And they're going to work Kyler in with the pieces that they currently have on offense. Josh Dobbs just really isn't doing it for them.

I think. A change at quarterback can not turn their season around, but at least see what they're working with so they can address deeper needs. If quarterback isn't the biggest need for the Cardinals, Kyler Murray is highly available.

If he's available in your league, pick him up, stash him. He may be good to go within the next couple of weeks. And our last quarterback pickups for the waiver wire. It's a toss up between Malik Willis and Will Levees. Hear me out. Monitor who is going to get the starting reps going into this week because Tannehill definitely is out.

Tannehill was in a walking boot, uh, last time we seen him before the buy. He's already been declared out. Uh, there's a good chance he goes on IR. There's actually a good chance that we don't see Tannehill throw another pass for the Titans ever again. Um, especially if something happens, you know, the Titans look like they're trying to have a fire cell.

They're trying to see what they got. They're going for full rebuild. Time to see what they have in the two young quarterbacks. Malik Willis gives you the rushing upside and if the organization believes in him taking over this offense he is going to go through some growing pains but if they don't try to make him a pocket passer and they just let him improvise he could be a steal going into the back part of the season.

Because he gets it done with his legs. Will Levees is a different story. We don't really know too much about him. We didn't see him throw too many passes in the preseason. We know physically he has the tools and in college he had the tools. Right now it doesn't even seem like he has earned that number two spot behind Malik Willis, but you never know.

Keep an eye on how things work out this week. Either way, I have these guys on the waiver wire pickup list because It's now time to open up the playbook in Tennessee and see what you got. If you got Trey Burks coming back, and he's able to, you know, look like how he looked last year. You still got DeAndre Hopkins.

You got Tajay Spears starting to come up. There's weapons that they can throw to. Tannehill obviously wasn't getting it done. If one of these get, one of these guys gets it done, you may have a, at least a serviceable quarterback, if you're someone that has Justin Fields, or one of these other quarterbacks that's just underperforming.

Take a chance. If I had to flip a coin, I'm going Malik Willis.

We're more than halfway through with the fantasy season, so of course there's not too many gems on the way everywhere. Well, at least not going into week 8, there's not too many gems. Like I said, we're not going to go over guys that should already be on a roster. It's your fault if you let your league mates pick these guys up.

But you never know. You may find a diamond in the rough and hopefully it's one of these guys that we've told you about this week or in previous weeks. On behalf of Sweet Tea and Mr. RW King, I'm Bombo, for Fantasy Island, we're out.
