Mexican President Lopez Obrador has met with President Biden at the White House to talk about combatting inflation…which is at about 8% in both countries….as well as migration and work visas. It comes on the heels of the tragedy in San Antonio, Texas where 57 migrants including 27 Mexicans died in the back of a sweltering tractor- trailer. An event which led Pope Francis to urge prayer for…in his words… ‘these brothers and sisters who died following their hope of a better life.” This was the second face-to-face meeting between the two presidents. President Biden soon left afterwards for a trip to Israel, the West Bank, and Saudi Arabia.
A bogus Twitter account posted a false report that Pope Emeritus Benedict the XVI had died. The news went viral and was shared by some major news outlets but it was later revealed to be a hoax. The person behind it has a history of creating fake Twitter accounts.
