Shownotes
Have you ever been floating on a raft in a pool, closed your eyes for a minute, and suddenly bumped into the other side? You weren’t trying to go anywhere. You were just laying there. But while you were doing nothing, you drifted.
I’ve learned my faith can work the same way. When I stop being intentional about spending time with Christ, I’m not really standing still. Little by little, I can drift without even noticing it.
So today is a simple reminder for me and maybe for you too: pay attention. Stay connected. Keep coming back to what God has already shown you. We don’t have to live afraid of drifting—we can simply choose to stay close.
Scripture (NIV):
Hebrews 2:1 — “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”
Reflection Questions:
Where have I been a little less intentional in my faith lately?
Are there any areas where I may be drifting without realizing it?
What’s one simple way I can stay connected to God today?
