Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Welcome to your 15 minute daily Bible walk.

Today we're so blessed you're joining us.

Last time we left off, we finished up with Genesis chapter nine.

And we finished it all the way down to verse 29.

So today we're going to begin in Genesis chapter 10, verse number one.

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth.

Now remember, we finished off last time in the course of that discussion about how Noah cursed his grandson and his grandson hadn't even been born yet.

Why is that?

You know, what would make someone do that?

And I just threw that out there so you could think about it again.

I have trainings on this.

I got sermons on this.

You go to Freedom for Faith Ministries, YouTube channel, you know, and, and check it all out yourself.

I don't have time to go over.

That's not the forum for this Bible study.

Okay, but he says sons were born after the flood.

Verse 2.

The sons of Japheth, Gomer and Magog and Mad Eye.

These are, these are all now modern day Russian cities, by the way.

So you got an idea where they're at and where they kind of migrated to?

Okay, Magog, Madi, Javon, Tubal, Meshech and Tyrus.

The sons of Gomer, Askines, Ripfah and Togamath.

Now remember I said my Hebrew and Greek and Aramaic.

My pronunciations may not be right.

I'm just trying to read it straight from the King James Bible.

Okay?

Praise God.

The sons of gomer, Ashkenaz, Rifa, Togamar 4, verse 4.

The sons of Javon, Elisha, Tarshish, Kirum and dodamin.

Verse 5.

By these were the islands of the Gentiles, divided in their lands.

Everyone after his tongue, after their families in their own nations.

Verse 6.

The sons of Ham.

Okay, now these are going to be the other Middle east nationalities that, that we're going to be talking about here.

Kush, Mizram Foot and Canaan, the grandson that was cursed.

Verse 7.

The sons of Kush, Siba, Havilah and Sabata and Rama and Sebaksha and the sons of Rama, Sheba and Dedan.

Verse 8.

And Cush begot Nimrod.

Now we heard about him before in the Bible, haven't we?

He began to be a mighty one in the earth.

I mean, he became a man of influence.

Verse 9.

He was a mighty hunter before the Lord.

Wherever it said, even is Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.

And in the beginning of his kingdom was Babel.

Okay, now we know where that's at, right?

So we're talking about Nimrod and his group kind of migrated into the.

The Iraqi Iran area.

Okay.

Of the modern day Iraq and Iran.

His kingdom was Babel and Eric and Akkad and Kalna and the land of Shinar.

And out of that land, 1/4 ashore and built Nineveh and the city Rehoboth and Keila and Resin between Nineveh and Keila the same as a great city.

And Mizraim begot Luteum and Anamin and Lehabin and Naftahem and Parithusma or Prithsim and Killum, out of whom came Philistine, where we heard that name rendering of it, we have Philistine or Philistine and here, or we could say Palestine.

And this is Philistim and Caphtorim, verse 15.

And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn and Heth and the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgizite and the Hivite and the Arkite and the Simite and the Amadite and the Zimmerite and the Hamatharite.

And afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.

And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you come to Gayar onto Gaza.

Sounds like an interesting area that has a lot of turmoil between the Israelis and the non Israelis.

Right.

And we can see because of the descendants who is blessed, who was cursed.

Leave it to that right now, Hunter Gaza, as you go under Sodom and Gomorrah and Adama and Zebulum, even unto lies, verse 20.

These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries and in their nations, unto Shem also the father of all the children of Eber and the brother of Japha the Elder.

Even to him were children born, the children of Shem, Elam and Asher, and Asphexed and Lud and Aram, and the children of Aram, Uz, Hul and Gether and Mash and Fax, dead begot Selah, and Selah begot Aber.

And under Aber were born two sons.

The name of one was Peleg.

For in his days was the earth divided, as Peleg means division, as if for in his days was the earth divided.

And his brother's name was Jokton, Joktan begot Almadad and Shilfet and Hezeroth, Hazamaphereth and Jaira and Hadaram and Uzal and Dikla and Obal and Amamil and Sheba and Ophir and Hevilah and Jobab.

And all these were the sons of Jockton.

And their dwelling was from Misha, as you go unto Sephora, a mount of the east, a mountain out in the east.

These are the sons of Shem.

I remember he got Noah and now Shem.

And this is important.

After their families, after their tongues in their lands, after their nations.

Now remember, Shem is the.

The one in charge of Jaffa and ham, right?

Jpath, Shem's the one who is in charge here.

Verse 31.

Which time.

Okay, verse 31.

After their families, after the tongues in their lands, after their nations.

32.

These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations in their nations.

And by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

What he's talking about is they began to migrate apart.

They continue to grow.

You see how many children they're having, right?

And let's just say each one of these boys had 10 kids.

We'll just use a round number there, right?

So already, if you add all that up, you're talking about a hundred thousand people.

Each one has kids.

They got 10 kids, and they got 10 kids, right?

And you continue to go down the line.

They can't stay in next to the ark.

There's just not room enough.

So they got to start migrating.

Where are they going to migrate to?

Well, they're going to.

You know, those that have cattle, they're going to try and find some pasture land up in the hills where the animals can eat.

The others that are going to be farming and all that, they're going to go look for the fertile regions, you know, down by the rivers.

And so they start drifting apart here.

That's the point I want to make.

We're going to.

We just finished chapter 10.

Now we're going to launch off into Genesis chapter 11 for the remainder of this program, beginning in verse one.

The whole earth was of one language because they're all family.

They're all talking to each other.

They're all family here.

Now you got all these people, one language, one speech.

And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east, and the middle reference says eastward, right?

In other words, they're leaving the land where the ark was.

And now they're starting to spread out, but it kind of drifting towards the east.

That's the fertile plain and all that.

They found a plane in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

And they said, hey, one to Another and said, hey, let's go and make us some brick and burn them thoroughly.

They learned how to make brick by putting it through the furnace and hardening it up.

And they had brick for stone.

They're making their houses out of brick and they're permanent structures here.

They had slime for mortar.

Verse 4.

And they said, let's go now and build us a city.

We'll make a tower in the city whose top would reach all the way to heaven.

And let us make us a name lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

What they're trying to do now is say, we don't need anybody else to get us to God.

We can get to God on our own here.

And that's what they're going to try and do.

They're going to.

They want to make this tower where, hey, we can connect with God.

Nobody else can, but we can.

Verse 5.

And the Lord came down, well, let's finish.

Verse 4.

They said, let's go build us a city tower whose top may reach in heaven.

Let us make us a name lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And the Lord came down to see this city, right?

The Lord, he knows what their plans are.

He knows the thoughts they're hiring.

He said, let's go down and see exactly what it is they're trying to do here.

See the tower which the children of men had built.

And Lord said, behold, this people is one.

They all have one language.

This thing they begin to do.

And now nothing will be restrained from them which they've imagined to do.

Imagined thoughts of your heart.

They're all one with one language.

They're speaking the same thing.

Does that sound familiar?

You can have what you say.

Amen.

That's what, that's, you know, that's what I want you to get from today's lesson here as we get ready to wrap up.

You can have what you say and where two or more come together in agreement, what you're gonna get it.

Jesus said, two more come together and agree asking and whatsoever thing they asked for a prayer will be given to them by Father in heaven.

Here is not in God's plan.

And he's saying, these guys are coming together.

They're starting to do stuff that doesn't need to be done.

Amen.

What was God's command?

Spread abroad upon the whole earth.

They're starting to congregate in one area, right?

Yeah, they were spreading up, doing some things and now.

But they're all still speaking one language.

And now they're one people.

They're coming together and say, we're going to come together.

We're going to make this huge mug a city and we're going to build a tower that reaches all the way up to heaven.

It'll be a testimony to all the other people groups that aren't part of us.

They want to come together with us because we're going, we're.

We got God on our side and we're.

And God's like, this is not a good thing.

This is not a good thing.

And here he said they have one language, nothing to be restrained from them, what they have imagined to do.

And we're going to stop right there, praise God.

We'll pick it up right there.

We'll start again tomorrow because verse seven is the beginning of the split up of the nations and all the problems that evolve between groups and you know, like people don't speak the same languages and same customs and all that.

So we're going to leave it right there for today.
