Shownotes

At every tournament there is a group that just doesn't quite cut it and Group E may just be it at Euro 2020.

Poland have former QPR manager, Paulo Sousa in charge having taken the manager's position in January. Or is The Fonz? Polska also give us a great excuse to roll out UEFA.com's Player Pronunciation page. But will it help?

Slovakia knocked out both Eire and Northern Ireland in the play offs last year to reach this summer's Euro's but we won't hold that against them. Charles may even go as far to call them a 'dark horse'.

The two time, former European Champs, Spain are without Sergio Ramos and are fighting a potential Covid outbreak ahead of their first game against Sweden.

Zlatan's Sweden are now simply just Sweden after the biggest ego in football hurt his knee. The tournament will definitely be worse without him.

Also today, we read out our first Apple Podcasts review, call out the Football Ramble and offer a brilliant prize of 5 packs of Panini Stickers to the first listener to send us an email to euro2020tome@gmail.com. You must put a specific sentence, revealed in today's podcast, in the subject line to win.
