The Bible, though a collection of 66 books by 40 authors written over the course of 1400 years, is actually ONE book with ONE Author and with ONE central focus. As we begin our global survey of the Bible ("The Saga of Scripture"), we step back and look at the grand story as a whole and show how God has one intent and purpose in His majestic storyline of Scripture. Throughout the episode we briefly discuss:

• The storyline of the Bible
• Central themes in Scripture
• Key people and dates
• Key covenants
• How everything points to Jesus
• Why God chose the land of Israel as the Promised Land
