Get ready, folks, because this Saturday we're diving into some serious house-cleaning wisdom! We’re chatting with Evan Greco, the big cheese at Rolling Suds, about the magical world of soft washing—because why just blast dirt away when you can do it safely and stylishly? Spoiler alert: if you're just power washing, you're basically playing whack-a-mole with mold; it'll be back before you know it. Then, we’ll switch gears and have a heart-to-heart with Saloni from GenTent about keeping your backup generator safe as we slide into hurricane and wildfire season. Trust me, you don't want a flammable generator cover because nothing says “fun” like a mini bonfire in your backyard. So, buckle up and join us for all this glorious chaos on Saturday!

Speaker B:Hour of the national radio show and podcast, we clean things up with Evan Greco, the brand president of Rolling Suds.
Speaker B:We talk about soft washing and how you can safely clean everything around the house.
Speaker C:You are removing mold from the exterior, but you are not killing those spores that are in there.
Speaker C:So if you do an excellent power washing job on the side of your home and and all you were doing was just removing it through pressure, in three to six months, you are going to see that come back pretty quickly.
Speaker C:However, if you are soft washing your house and you're doing it with typically sodium hypochlorite is the go to.
Speaker C:You can get a good two years out of that.
Speaker C:And then if you're in an area that's not coastal, you're talking two to three years that will last you over there.
Speaker C:It's an issue of actually resolving the problem versus just masking it.
Speaker B:In the second hour of the national radio show and podcast, we sit down with Saloni from Gen Tent.
Speaker B:We are sliding into the peak of hurricane and wildfire season.
Speaker B:Now is the time to protect your investment in your backup power generator and revisit generator safety so you have power no matter what Mother Nature decides to send your way.
Speaker D:What people don't realize is that these alternative solutions, while they're marketed as generator running covers, they tend to be made of flammable material.
Speaker D:We do a lot of testing in house, right?
Speaker D:No, we literally what we're doing is we're getting 30, 40 of our competitor products in here and we're putting it on generators and seeing how they perform if there's any form of ignition or spark.
Speaker D:And we're seeing these covers go up in flames in seconds that last and these flames last for minutes.
Speaker D:If that is, to your point, near anything combustible like fuel or even if the generator is not according to critical, if it's too close to the hole that can start a fire.
Speaker B:We see all that and more on.
