Welcome to Building A Bridge
Our Mission is:
To empower people to use their voice to build a bridge beyond race relations creating unity and understanding - effectively raising the collective consciousness of humanity
This is the second of what will be an ongoing series of conversations between Jared Countess and I
We will be tackling the tough issues around race relations from our unique perspectives (as a black man and white man). Neither of us are "experts" nor do we claim to have all the answers (hence "A" bridge vs "The" bridge).
Today's video begins a discussion on systemic racism.
We cover:
➡️ What it is
➡️ How systems work
➡️ Differences between growing up poor white vs poor black
➡️ Early origins + intentions for criminality
And much more.
In this video we do not discuss solutions (we wanted to be respectful of your time) and we would love for you to share your ideas/thoughts on this.
We want you to be a part of our Facebook community we are building around this.
Please consider joining our Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BuildingABridge2020
We will have ongoing discussions
Guest contributors (educators, law enforcement, etc...)
And much more
It will be a safe space where you can ask the difficult questions and have the uncomfortable conversations.
If you haven't watched our first conversation you can watch it here:

Or listen here: https://podcasts.apple.com/…/building-a-bridg…/id1510146999…
We will post the first several of these videos around various Facebook pages and then, eventually, migrate the series over exclusively to the Building A Bridge Facebook group.

We invite your comments/questions/thoughts.
Part 2 of this one will likely explore solutions/ideas.
Thank you for being on this journey with us.
With love,
Jesse & Jared
