Shownotes

Time for another carefully curated episode of Freshly Squeezed - your weekly dive into the latest sounds from emerging artists making waves in the music scene.

Weather Happy: Formerly of BERRIES, Holly Carter has teamed up with drummer Harry Carter to create Weather Happy, a London duo making grungy, math-rock-tinged alt-rock full of twists, turns and huge melodies. Holly and Jim chat about new tune Trees, working with Rod Jones (Idelwild) and the quiet bravery of moths!

James Bruner: James Bruner creates classic rock'n'roll tunes that wear their influences proudly. Think The Strokes, Jet and The Hives with a modern swagger thrown in for good measure. His latest single Hypnotized is a defiant punch back against self-doubt.

Aqua Line: Some proper 90s-inspired garage-rock energy from the Brighton and Guildford five-piece Aqualine. Blending grunge, shoegaze and alternative rock influences, they've created a sound that feels like Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead working together to craft some monster hooks!
