Shownotes

This isn’t just a meditation—it’s a reclamation.

In this Tea Time sesh, Amanda guides you through a powerful practice to release pain, reclaim your power, and come back home to yourself.

You’ll be guided to breathe, feel where your pain lives in your body, and reimagine it as energy you can release—reminding yourself that your story doesn’t end in what happened to you…it rises in who you choose to become.

Also, in honor of Denim Day and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Amanda introduces the Own Your Sexy Campaign—a movement rooted in taking your power back on your terms.

As a survivor of intimate partner and sexual violence, Amanda holds space for you to feel, move, and transform what’s been heavy into something that empowers you.

10% of proceeds from the Dare to Be Iconic Shop and Own Your Sexy bundles will be donated to organizations supporting survivors of sexual and dating violence—because healing is personal, but impact is collective.

Amanda Paolicelli:

What's up, radiant icons and welcome back to Dare to Be

2

:

Iconic, the podcast made for icons

who are daring to be themselves.

3

:

I'm your host, Amanda Paolicelli.

4

:

And for today's Tea Time sesh

radiant icons, we are doing

5

:

a little guided meditation.

6

:

For today's meditation, it is designed

to help you release, reframe and

7

:

Rise because this is your moment

to stop running from what hurt you

8

:

and start becoming because of it.

9

:

And radiant icons, I am so excited to

dive into this guided meditation, but

10

:

before we get into all the iconicness,

that is today's tea time sesh.

11

:

I do want to share something that is

incredibly close to my heart that we did

12

:

just announce on socials this past weekend

which is our Own Your Sexy Campaign.

13

:

But before we get into that campaign,

I do want a preference with saying

14

:

that today is actually denim day.

15

:

Denim Day in particular is a day

that is about awareness and education

16

:

when it comes to sexual violence.

17

:

And this day, denim day is where millions

of people across the world will wear

18

:

jeans with a purpose to support survivors

and educate themselves and others

19

:

about all forms of sexual violence.

20

:

So with Denim Day, being today and April

being sexual assault awareness month,

21

:

I have been really reflecting on how

Dare to Be Iconic can make a difference

22

:

this month, especially with this phrase

that we've been using all throughout not

23

:

even just April, but since the beginning

of this year, in January of owning

24

:

Your Sexy, and that's where this Own

Your Sexy Campaign really came to be.

25

:

Because the Own Your Sexy campaign

is more than just a campaign.

26

:

It is a movement.

27

:

It is about reclaiming your body,

your confidence, your voice,

28

:

your power on your own terms.

29

:

And as someone who is a survivor

of intimate partner violence and of

30

:

sexual violence, this mission runs so

incredibly deep for me, and that's why

31

:

with our Own Your Sexy Campaign, 10%

of proceeds from the Dare to Be Iconic

32

:

Shop or our own your sexy bundles will

be donated to organizations that support

33

:

survivors of sexual and dating violence

because healing should not be something

34

:

that anyone has to navigate alone.

35

:

And when you support the Own Your

Sexy campaign Radiance icons, you

36

:

are not just investing in yourself.

37

:

You are helping someone

else find their power too.

38

:

And that is what being

iconic is all about.

39

:

So let's dare to make a difference

together this denim day.

40

:

Now let's get to today's piping hot tea.

41

:

Wherever you are, radiant

icons, get comfortable.

42

:

Take a deep breath, and let's

step into our power together.

43

:

Are you ready?

44

:

radiant icons, because your

tee time sesh is starting now.

45

:

Take a deep breath in.

46

:

Slowly exhale, let your shoulders

drop and clench your jaw.

47

:

Allow yourself to arrive

fully in this moment.

48

:

Today, we're not running from the pain.

49

:

We're not silencing it.

50

:

We're not pretending it didn't happen.

51

:

Today, we transform it.

52

:

Bring to mind a moment, a

feeling or season that hurt you.

53

:

Don't force it, just let it gently rise.

54

:

Notice where it lives in your body,

your chest, your stomach, your throat.

55

:

Just observe.

56

:

No judgment, no fixing.

57

:

Breathe into that space.

58

:

Inhale and exhale.

59

:

That pain you're holding, it's real.

60

:

It mattered and it shaped you,

but it does not get to define you.

61

:

Now imagine that pain as energy,

not something heavy and stuck,

62

:

but something that can move.

63

:

Picture it as a color, a

light, or even a flame.

64

:

With every inhale, you're

giving it space, and with every

65

:

exhale, you're reshaping it.

66

:

What once felt heavy

begins to feel powerful.

67

:

What once felt like

breaking, becomes rebuilding?

68

:

Breathe with me.

69

:

radiant icons.

70

:

Inhale.

71

:

Exhale.

72

:

You are not the version of

you who went through that.

73

:

You are the version of you who

survived it and not just survived.

74

:

You're learning how to rise from it.

75

:

Now, gently say to yourself, I

honor what I've been through.

76

:

I release when no longer serves me.

77

:

I choose to turn my pain into

power again, radiant icons.

78

:

I honor what I've been through.

79

:

I release what no longer serves me.

80

:

I choose to turn my pain into power.

81

:

Feel that.

82

:

This is where your power lives, not

in perfection, not in pretending,

83

:

but in your ability to rise, to feel,

to heal, and to keep going anyway.

84

:

Now, imagine yourself stepping forward,

stronger, lighter, more aligned.

85

:

The pain is no longer something you carry.

86

:

It's something that fuels you.

87

:

It becomes your voice,

your story, your purpose.

88

:

Breathe that in.

89

:

You are allowed to evolve.

90

:

You are allowed to outgrow what hurt you.

91

:

You were allowed to become someone

your past did not see coming.

92

:

Let's take one final deep

breath in and exhale.

93

:

When you're ready, radiant icon, gently

bring your awareness back, wiggle

94

:

your fingers, your toes, and remember,

your story did not end in pain.

95

:

That was just the beginning of your power.

96

:

All right, radiant icons.

97

:

That is your tea time session for today.

98

:

If you enjoy today's episode,

make sure to subscribe to leave

99

:

a rating, a review to tell your

friends about us, to tell everyone

100

:

and anyone, because you know what?

101

:

We love more rating to icons in

our iconic community of ours.

102

:

And you know what I also love

radiant Icons is I love that we are

103

:

all coming together in community

to not only dare to be ourselves,

104

:

but to turn our pain into power.

105

:

We are allowing ourselves to be

vulnerable, real, honest, and raw.

106

:

We are allowing ourselves to get to

the nitty gritty self introspection

107

:

that is required on this turning

your pain into Power Journey.

108

:

I know firsthand how ugly and

beautiful it can be because there

109

:

is always beauty within pain.

110

:

But when we are in the pain, we can't

see the beauty most of the times, and

111

:

that's okay, but I love that this year we

are really giving ourselves the freedom

112

:

and the permission to release the old

narratives and to truly, truly become

113

:

aligned with who we are and who we want

to become as we dare to be ourselves.

114

:

So just remember it is a choice.

115

:

It is a choice that you make time

and time again to turn your pain into

116

:

power and not let your pain define you.

117

:

Turning your pain into power is not

something that just happens overnight.

118

:

It requires time, effort, and

attention, and I am so happy

119

:

that we are doing this together.

120

:

It makes it a lot less scarier and

it makes it a lot less isolating, and

121

:

I know while I was in the beginning

stages of healing out loud from

122

:

my dating violence relationship.

123

:

It felt so isolating, but as soon as

I started getting comfortable in my

124

:

voice and giving myself the freedom

to talk about it in the way that

125

:

I was ready to, it's allowed me.

126

:

To make that deliberate choice on

how to turn my pain into power every

127

:

single day, because the pain from

that relationship does not define me.

128

:

Does not define me, but what I do

with the pain does, and on this long

129

:

ass nine, almost 10 year journey

of healing out loud from this.

130

:

Violent relationship, right from these

traumatic experiences in my life.

131

:

It's just reminded me time and

time again that it is a choice.

132

:

It is a choice that I make

every single day of my life

133

:

to turn this pain into power.

134

:

And it has evolved and grown

as I have evolved and grown

135

:

throughout the years on my healing

journey, right in the beginning.

136

:

I could not talk about it

to anyone, catch me dead it.

137

:

No, absolutely not.

138

:

But now, nine, almost 10 years

later, I am talking about it on a

139

:

podcast to to hundreds of people

who listen to my podcast episodes.

140

:

Never in a million years did 18-year-old

Amanda think that she would have the

141

:

courage and make that choice and be

comfortable in that choice to heal out

142

:

loud in the aspect of talking about

it to hundreds of people with the

143

:

hope that it would help someone else.

144

:

Someone else wouldn't have to go through

what she went through or to feel less

145

:

alone or to just have that awareness of

the warning signs of X, Y, and Z, right?

146

:

Never in my life would, I think

eventually I would've evolved and

147

:

grown into this version of healing

on my pain into power journey.

148

:

But here we are.

149

:

That is the power of it, and I

am reminded time and time again.

150

:

Every time I pick up this mic, every time

I pick up my camera, like my phone, right?

151

:

Every time I post a, a post, an

episode, whatever it is, or I

152

:

announce a campaign and my reasoning

behind it, I am reminded that.

153

:

This individual journey of me

turning my pain into power is

154

:

not only individual, is not only

individualistic, it is a community effort.

155

:

Because we are choosing

to heal out loud together.

156

:

We are choosing to turn our pain

into power and I think that's pretty

157

:

fucking awesome and that's why I

love us so much 'cause we are the

158

:

most iconic club out there and I just

can't wait to meet so many of you.

159

:

This may like, that's so insane to me.

160

:

We are having a radiant icon club

meet up on the track at the Miami

161

:

Grand Prix on Saturday, May 2nd,

at turn three at 2:00 PM Eastern.

162

:

I have some very exclusive DTBI

goodies I will be handing out along

163

:

with some friendship bracelets

from Emily loves racing, so if

164

:

you're at the Miami Grand Prix.

165

:

I want to see you.

166

:

I want to hug you.

167

:

I want to give you all the DTBI goodies,

so make sure to meet us on the track.

168

:

Turn three Saturday at 2:00 PM

Eastern, and if you are not at

169

:

the Miami Grand Prix, but you

are in the central Florida area.

170

:

I got you.

171

:

We just announced our first official

Big Radiant Icon Club meetup, which

172

:

is our hot and healing picnic.

173

:

We are pouring our hearts out

and then we're burning it.

174

:

radiant icons.

175

:

I am so excited.

176

:

It is inspired by our breakup journal.

177

:

We will be dressing in our florals.

178

:

We'll be having cute little

light refreshments, desserts,

179

:

fruit, fizzy, cute little drinks.

180

:

And we'll be doing one of my favorite

exercises from the breakup journal.

181

:

We are releasing the old narratives.

182

:

We are releasing the pain

that we have been holding.

183

:

We're gonna pour it out and

then we're gonna burn it.

184

:

And I think that's great.

185

:

The hot and healing picnic on

Sunday, May 17th at 3:30 PM Eastern.

186

:

I am so excited.

187

:

Tickets will be linked

in the show notes below.

188

:

It's just so many opportunities for us

to come together in community and heal

189

:

out loud and turn our pain into power

and just like dare to be ourselves.

190

:

I cannot wait to see you there.

191

:

I guess I'm gonna go, 'cause I have

to get ready for the Miami Grand Prix.

192

:

I'm literally leaving tomorrow,

so I'll chat with y'all next week.

193

:

Then.

194

:

Remember, radiant icons,

dare to be iconic.

195

:

Bye.
