Since the beginning of the human race, we all experience suffering. It can be felt as pain in our body, mind and emotions.
When a student of the Buddha asked, “Master, what is happiness?” He replied, “The end of all suffering.” Knowing the correlation between suffering and happiness helps us better manage it. This informs us that happiness is an inside game.
It’s never the “thing” that causes our prolonged suffering, but our reaction and resistance to it.
