She Speaks Volumes is an introduction, a primer of sorts to over 500 years of feminist writers, history, and philosophy.
In each episode I explore a feminist classic through the writers own words, and by probing what the writers struggles may have been, investigate how her work can help us understand the relevance of feminism today and the role women have played in the shared history of humanity.
This podcast is also a quest, a mission to discover post-patriarchal, post-colonial and post-capitalist ideas and what better place to begin than the history of women we didn’t study back in Uni.
