Focus On What You Have – Daily Wisdom

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1975 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16  How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!    If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget: Today’s quote is from Robert H. Schuller, and it is: Always look at what you have left. Never look at what you have lost.

Focus On What You Have

In every area of our life, we need to be focused on what we have, not on what we used to have or could have had, if only… We should never dwell on what might have been or what we used to have. Our thoughts can easily paint a false picture of your past. We have all made mistakes and have made unwise choices. These choices may have caused us to lose relationships, resources, prestige, and other things we wished we still had. So, a word of advice from Gramps, stop it! Yes, we should learn from our past, but we should not allow it to control who we are or what we have today. God has provided us with unlimited blessings, and what may seem like a loss may be the source of many other blessings. Every setback in life can be a step up to what we are today or can become tomorrow. So, focus on today’s blessings, whether little or much, then your tomorrow will be filled with more. A grateful heart and spirit are like a magnet drawing untold blessings. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
