Hello and welcome to Women in
the Coaching Arena podcast.
2
:I'm so glad you are here.
3
:I'm Jo Lott, a business mentor
and ICF accredited coach
4
:Microphone (Samson Q2U Microphone):
and I help coaches to
5
:build brilliant businesses.
6
:I know that when you prepare to enter
the arena, there is fear, self doubt,
7
:comparison, anxiety, uncertainty, shame.
8
:You can tend to armor up and
protect yourself from vulnerability.
9
:In this podcast, I'll be sharing
honest, not hype, practical and
10
:emotional tools to support you to make
the difference that you are here for.
11
:Dare greatly.
12
:You belong in this arena.
13
:Hello, welcome to the 37th episode
of women in the coaching arena.
14
:I am so glad you are here.
15
:I have been away on a
mastermind in France for a week.
16
:And I've come back brimming with ideas
that I'm excited to share with you today.
17
:What I've learned from spending six days
with 12 high-performing business owners
18
:is that they put out a lot of offers.
19
:So I'm excited to share this
challenge with you today.
20
:To earn 2 K in two weeks.
21
:It's amazing what is possible
when you set yourself a challenge?
22
:I set myself this challenge when
I was away for Easter holidays.
23
:And I listened to Helen Pritchard
who's the LinkedIn trainer
24
:live on LinkedIn that day.
25
:And she said exactly that.
26
:Set yourself a challenge and
really visualize what you
27
:want and why you want it.
28
:So at that point I wanted a new front
door, which I knew was:
29
:So it was ideal.
30
:I was away for Easter
holidays for two weeks.
31
:So I was thinking, well, I can't
earn any money because I can't do
32
:any calls Cause I'm away my kids.
33
:And instead, because I had the
goal, I looked at what was possible.
34
:While the kids were upstairs, getting
ready, made a sales page and earned
35
:three K in the two weeks that I was away.
36
:So anything is possible if you set
yourself that goal and really, really
37
:go for it instead of thinking, oh, well,
I'm away, nothing I can do about this
38
:because there is things you can do.
39
:So I'm excited too.
40
:open up that possibility for you today.
41
:So this is a five step process.
42
:Our first step is to set the intention.
43
:So set yourself that money goal now.
44
:A suggestion is two K
in the next two weeks.
45
:So if you are listening to this
episode on its release date of 23rd
46
:of November, we will be talking about
adding two K by the 7th of December.
47
:So, whatever the date is for you now.
48
:Set your money goal
and set your deadline.
49
:Now I would love you to focus
on how you are going to feel
50
:when you receive that money?
51
:Really, really go into it.
52
:Don't stop yourself by
thinking it's not possible.
53
:Just really imagine.
54
:When I had my new front door fitted.
55
:I could just see, pulling up to my house,
seeing the door looking really lovely.
56
:That was my goal.
57
:So really step into that now.
58
:If there is any judgment from
yourself, then write it down
59
:and really acknowledge it.
60
:Explore it is that actually true
because as we know as coaches,
61
:most of the things that go round
in our head, Are limiting beliefs.
62
:So get them out of your head onto
paper so you can really explore
63
:anything that's in your way.
64
:Also thinking about
setting that intention.
65
:Writing down your goal is super
powerful and signing it with your
66
:commitment that this is what you
will do over this period of time.
67
:And prepared to go all in.
68
:If those limiting beliefs
come up and they will.
69
:Then know that you have already
planned, for example, you're going
70
:to do EFT or meditation or exercise.
71
:Or journal, what are you going to do
to stop those beliefs when they tell
72
:you that this isn't possible for you?
73
:So plan that all now.
74
:Another great thing you can
do is declutter the space
75
:that you are working in.
76
:Start to do the things that are
gonna make you feel like this
77
:successful person who is going to
earn two K in the next two weeks.
78
:Put yourself an hour in your diary now to
really do this process, set the intention.
79
:Write down exactly what you want.
80
:I Write down negative
consequences as well.
81
:So if I do make two K in the
next two weeks, what's the
82
:worst thing that can happen.
83
:Often we can feel like we are being
greedy or all of those things can come up.
84
:So really explore this goal.
85
:What you're going to do
when the inevitable limiting
86
:beliefs get in the way.
87
:And set your commitment and sign it.
88
:Share it with others.
89
:I was away on this retreat
with a ex military guy.
90
:And the way he runs his group
is completely mindblowing.
91
:I would love to do something similar.
92
:But I'm just really trying
to think about how to do it.
93
:In a way that doesn't cause shame.
94
:So basically what he does is.
95
:It's a public thing.
96
:You share what you're
going to do that day?
97
:And then at the end of the day, his
virtual assistant does a table of
98
:like, red cross is if they don't
share their objective for the day.
99
:So it really just helps you to
have that public accountability.
100
:Accountability does make you 95%
more likely to achieve your goal.
101
:So there are huge elements of his
system that I really like, and I will
102
:definitely be inviting people into
way more accountability in my program.
103
:Okay.
104
:So first step we have set the intention.
105
:Our second step is to
get that plan together.
106
:So now we know what we want our vision.
107
:Let's work on the strategy.
108
:For this, you are going to
break down your money goals.
109
:So if you are going with my
suggestion of two K think about, is
110
:that one one-to-one coaching offer.
111
:Is that a smaller group
program for 10 people.
112
:There were loads of ways you can make
money and stand out by giving people a
113
:really convenient way to work with you.
114
:So some suggestions are a Voxer day,
so Voxer is a bit like WhatsApp and
115
:people can message you back and forth
if they really want to work on one
116
:specific goal with you for a day.
117
:Maybe you could run an in-person event.
118
:You could do a VIP day where you
spend the entire day with someone.
119
:You could do some power hours.
120
:You could do something done for you.
121
:And I think this is often
something we forget as coaches.
122
:Because we trust that the person's
resourceful and everything.
123
:But what I noticed recently, when I
put out a done for you niche offer,
124
:Everybody absolutely whipped up because
it's too easy to get stuck in our head.
125
:And sometimes we just need to pay
people to do the things that we
126
:are holding ourselves back on.
127
:Another example is that I now pay my
virtual assistant to do my LinkedIn
128
:connections because I love growing
my connections, but I'm not always
129
:consistent with hitting connect.
130
:So I engage.
131
:I do all of the relationship building,
but she hits that connect button for me.
132
:So there are so many things
you can do for people to really
133
:help them to move forward.
134
:Lots of the people on the mastermind
I was with I doing a week of support.
135
:So it's a really intensive week.
136
:You might meet three times a week.
137
:Some of them are intending to
meet every single day to really
138
:work on a particular goal.
139
:For example, I would love to do
something like this for helping people
140
:to get their email list up and running.
141
:It's the task that can often
fall to the bottom of the pile.
142
:So I think a focused week on that
I'm not doing at the moment so far
143
:too many other offers going on.
144
:But at some point, that's a nice
idea to get people over the line,
145
:get the tech up and running and
get their email list kick-started.
146
:So, what is it for you?
147
:What are you going to sell to add
your two K over the next two weeks?
148
:Now set your deadline
for people to buy this.
149
:Perhaps midnight, two weeks from
now, or you might want to go.
150
:At 5:00 PM.
151
:So you're not up till midnight
because I think I set a goal of
152
:midnight and it was a bad move.
153
:Now, write down the consequences.
154
:If they don't buy your thing.
155
:So are they going to stay stuck?
156
:Using the time of year is a
really great way of doing it.
157
:Like imagine starting 2024 knowing that
you have this thing in place, knowing
158
:that you have a plan- wherever it is for
your particular niche using the time of
159
:year is a really powerful thing to do.
160
:Now I would love you to add some bonuses.
161
:So bonus for buying now.
162
:And that really helps to help people make
a decision and do the best thing for them.
163
:I know that there are people who bought
my bonus offer that I did recently.
164
:Who have been procrastinating for years?
165
:And it's finally helped
them to make a decision.
166
:So whilst I don't agree
with false scarcity.
167
:We do really need a decision for our
own benefit to move over the line.
168
:If I could have thought about this
mastermind that I've joined I
169
:would have thought about it forever.
170
:He gave a deadline and I needed
to make my mind up pretty darn
171
:quick, and I have never regretted a
decision that I've made like that.
172
:Because you will always learn,
you will always move forward.
173
:More than you would, if you
were just sitting around not
174
:making any decisions at all.
175
:So think about your bonus.
176
:Allow yourself some time to
realize that, what you offer is
177
:valuable and can change lives.
178
:And whatever it takes for you to
find your driver that is going to
179
:really help you to step into it.
180
:Whether that is a new front door
or whether that is visualizing
181
:this person who is out there
stuck and needs your help.
182
:Set that intention now.
183
:Take the time to really know
why this is important for you.
184
:Step three is action.
185
:Now, you know why you want
it, you know, your strategy.
186
:We need to actually make it happen.
187
:Go all in for the next two
weeks before Christmas.
188
:It's the perfect time
to make the most of it.
189
:If it means being the most helpful
person in a Facebook group.
190
:And getting your name out there.
191
:If it means commenting on 50 LinkedIn
posts a day, wherever you can do
192
:to get in front of new people.
193
:Can you speak at an event?
194
:Can you contact a company and say, I'm
going to do a lunch and learn for you.
195
:What can you do to really
ramp up your visibility?
196
:Over the next two weeks.
197
:So you do add this £2K.
198
:People need to see your
offer 21 plus times to buy.
199
:So that is why, for example,
you can go into canva.com.
200
:And change your LinkedIn banner or
your Facebook banner to really help
201
:people to see your offer and the
deadline really prominently regularly.
202
:If you have an email list,
we're not sending one email,
203
:we're sending several emails.
204
:We want to get this thing in front
of people, as much as we can.
205
:We're not just putting out
once and forgetting about it.
206
:We are going all in
for the next two weeks.
207
:Think about how good you will feel
ending the year with the money
208
:in your pocket and having made
a difference to someone's life.
209
:The person who hosts the
mastermind I'm part of, is
210
:really big into Facebook groups.
211
:So he would a hundred percent suggest
going through a process to make sure
212
:you find an access active Facebook
groups and be really helpful person.
213
:We're not going in there
to promote our, offer.
214
:We are going in there too be a helpful
person and to be giving extremely
215
:good value everywhere you go.
216
:So people start looking you up
and wondering who is this person
217
:who keeps helping everyone.
218
:And engagement is how you can
really escalate your work.
219
:We worked a lot when we
were away on gaining PR.
220
:Really doing that borrowing of audiences,
especially if you're starting out
221
:and haven't got your own audience.
222
:Going on podcasts or speaking to
other people's events or in companies.
223
:Who has got your audience and
how can you get in front of them?
224
:If you use social media and now is
the time to do some videos to really
225
:start showing up with pure value.
226
:Can you do a live?
227
:Can you do a masterclass?
228
:How can you share social
proof every single day?
229
:It's something I'm thinking a lot about
because I have got a lot of social proof.
230
:And I really do want to start
sharing it every single day.
231
:Because the biggest thing in this
industry is people finding someone
232
:that they can trust to help them.
233
:And I hear that time and time again.
234
:Make sure everyone knows your deadline.
235
:Make it a no-brainer offer.
236
:Really keep asking yourself, how can I
make this a no brainer offer that they
237
:would feel mad to not take me up on.
238
:Okay, now we are on our
fourth and final step.
239
:We want you to close
actively and not passively.
240
:Many people that I see doing this,
put their offer out, and then
241
:I think did they ever do that?
242
:Do they ever run that group
program or whatever it might be.
243
:But what happened is they put out once and
then they thought, no, one's going to buy.
244
:And so they shrunk into the background
and never mentioned it again.
245
:That is not what we're going
to do over the next two weeks.
246
:We are going to go all in
close, actively, be showing up.
247
:If your deadline is at midnight,
you're showing up at:
248
:reminding them that this is the
opportunity to change their life.
249
:Keep asking yourself,
what are their objections?
250
:If they are in the fence and watching,
what is it that they are worried
251
:about and create content or figure
out how to answer those questions?
252
:List out everyone who's engaged
with you over the last two weeks.
253
:My mentor, for example, once
messaged me when I took part in his
254
:five day challenge two years ago.
255
:So again, just shows the
average buyer's journey.
256
:Saying, I'd just love to get your
feedback on why you didn't buy.
257
:And because he sent a direct
message asking me that.
258
:I then said, I've just bought this
other thing and I'm just, you know,
259
:completely overwhelmed right now,
but I really love the challenge.
260
:So really start learning.
261
:What are those objections?
262
:And that's a great way of you building
that relationship with them as well.
263
:Most things come down to that last day.
264
:Many people do sit on the fence.
265
:I applied for this mastermind at 11:00 PM
because the deadline was at 12 o'clock.
266
:Don't back out, send emails,
put things out, keep reminding
267
:people off your deadline.
268
:Our fifth and final step is to receive.
269
:Relax, switch off.
270
:Tune in to you.
271
:Tune into nature, meditation, exercise,
no matter what the result, make sure that
272
:this is time to celebrate the work that
you have put in over the last two weeks.
273
:You will go to bed, knowing that you
have given everything to this process.
274
:You have shown up.
275
:You have told hundreds of
people about your offer.
276
:You have helped them
to move off the fence.
277
:Handle their objections
and change their lives.
278
:Be Super proud of yourself that
you have shown up for you for
279
:your business and for the world.
280
:So do you message me if you are
going to take the challenge, I would
281
:love to hear what is your goal?
282
:What is your deadline?
283
:And I will follow up with you in two
weeks time and see how you got on.
284
:You can message me on LinkedIn.
285
:Joanna Lott.
286
:Or Instagram, Joanna Lott coaching.
287
:I cannot wait to hear if you
take me up on this challenge.
288
:So let me summarise today's episode.
289
:We talked about setting
yourself a goal and a deadline.
290
:And we laid out a five step
process to achieve this.
291
:So firstly set the intention
really commit, go all in,
292
:write out your goal, sign it.
293
:Commit to going all in and achieving
it over the next two weeks or whatever
294
:deadline you want to put on your goal.
295
:Second, get a plan together.
296
:So create your offers.
297
:How many do you need to sell?
298
:What are you going to
sell to achieve this goal?
299
:Third up was action.
300
:So now it's about getting seen and
as many places as possible being as
301
:helpful as you can in as many places
as you can to really, really get
302
:visible and get your offer out there.
303
:Fourth was close actively, not passively.
304
:Don't put one post out and then give
up thinking, no, one's interested.
305
:It flopped.
306
:You really, really have to
not back out, just keep it up.
307
:Even if no one buys you will always learn.
308
:So there is no such thing as failure.
309
:This is going to be an amazing experience.
310
:And fifth up was receive.
311
:So now you have done all of the hard work.
312
:Reflect on what went well,
what could have been better?
313
:What would you do differently next time?
314
:Use this as a learning, growing
experience and express gratitude to
315
:yourself for showing up for your goal.
316
:And like I say, at the end of every
episode, trust yourself, believe
317
:in yourself and be the wise Gardner
who keeps on watering the seed.
318
:Thank you so much for listening to this
episode of Women in the Coaching Arena.
319
:I have a mess of free resources on
my website joannalottcoaching.com.
320
:That's Joanna with an A
and Lott with two T's.
321
:joannalottcoaching.com.
322
:And I'll also put links in the show notes.
323
:Let me know if you found
this episode useful.
324
:Share it with a friend and
leave me a review, and I will
325
:personally thank you for that.
326
:Remember to trust yourself, believe
in yourself and be the wise Gardner
327
:who keeps on watering the seed.
328
:Get into the arena dare, greatly and try.
