Shownotes

TEDx Speaker, Actor, Single Mother & Founder of “Light Me Up” Survivor Dance Therapy Mae Flores felt fortunate to have a smooth transition immigrating to America at age 11 with her mother and sister. It was only in high school and into college when she really started to question her identity. She questions why we are so quick to assimilate, shares her advocacy work for victims of sexual assault & gender violence, and the power of renewal and the simplicity in believing that we have a choice to make it every single day.
