Is the will of God the Father really the rule of our life? Its an important question. I mean, Jesus thinks its essential. Jesus said to his disciples: ‘It is not those who say to me, “Lord, Lord,” who will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?” Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, you evil men!” We call ourselves Christians - yet do we really strive hard to do the Father’s will? More importantly - are we happy for the Father to do whatever he wants to do to us today, even if we don’t like it? It’s true its not so easy to do that - so let’s ask the Lord Jesus for that freedom and grace to pray that prayer: “your will be done” - today.
