In Chapter Eight, Emelyee feels her way through the repercussions of her husband's discovery of her and Dorric's affair.

Heartbroken and discouraged, she returns to Io Keep but, even back in her home, all is not well.

Emelyee is expecting a baby, one who will be half-elven, half-human. Her and Dorric's child.
