The Righteousness of The Perfect

The Righteousness of The Perfect is based on Proverbs 11:5. I would like for us to think about this Proverb today and think about the meaning because, on the surface, it seems like it is something that is very plain. And that is undoubtedly the case.

But there is something beyond that! There is something beyond just the words, the initial reaction we get from reading the Proverb.

Proverbs 11:5: “The Righteousness of The Perfect shall direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.”

As I mentioned before when we read it the first time, we see that “The Righteousness of The Perfect shall direct his way” is something that the righteous have; those laws and commandments of God are certainly part of what is included here. The commandments of God are perfect:

• His laws
• His statutes
• His judgments

All of those are righteousness! That righteousness does direct us in the way of God.
