Shownotes

What if the most meaningful parts of your life aren’t the big moments — but the small, quiet ones happening right now?

In this gentle Monday meditation, Michael guides you to pause and practice gratitude for the small, real moments that make up a life — the sunlight through a window, the courage that carried you here, the presence of someone (or something) you love.

This is a short, heartfelt practice to remind you that gratitude isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect — it’s about remembering what’s still beautiful, even when life feels messy.

  • Learn how to connect with gratitude for what’s around you, within you, and who’s with you.
  • Build resilience and calm by noticing what’s good, right here, right now.
  • Begin your week grounded in appreciation and grace, no matter what unfolds.Action:

Press play, breathe deeply, and name three small things to be grateful for today. These little thank-yous can create a ripple effect of calm, presence, and connection.

Transcripts

Hey there, it's Michael on Mondays. I love sharing a microdose meditation from our pause, breathe, reflect, collection with you to help you start the week off on the right foot. And today we'll practice gratitude, not for the big moments of life, but rather. The small real moments that weave together a meaningful life.

When you're ready, settle into a comfortable posture and wherever you happen to be. See if you can bring some ease to your shoulders, maybe some openness around your neck and jaw,

and if it feels safe to do so, you can close your eyes

and we'll drop in and let's begin together with a generous breath in.

In a slow releasing breath out,

giving yourself permission to settle a bit further into this moment,

and as you do, I'll invite you to name. Something that's comforting that's around you. It might be how the sun is shining through your window.

Maybe if you have a pet, it's curled up next to you,

whatever it might be. Offer your awareness to it and simply say thank you.

And now I'll invite you to name something that's within you that has carried you to this moment today. It might be a moment of courage or kindness. Or patience or even your ability to endure whatever it might be, name it, and say thank you.

Now I'll invite you to bring someone to mind. Could be a person, it could be a pet. Even a memory that brings you warmth. Hold them in this moment and offer them gratitude by simply saying thank you.

Gratitude isn't about denying what's hard, what's challenging. It's about remembering what we still have and can do. It's remembering that we are still here even when it's messy, even when we're tired. There's still beauty in noticing all these little moments that happen in between our bigger moments

as you head into the day, as you head into a new week.

I will invite you to bring your awareness to the small moments, those small moments of gratitude that can help us pedal forward. With a bit more grace

together. Let's take one more breath in

and a slow releasing breath out.

And when you feel ready to do so, you can begin to ease your attention. Start to flutter the eyes open, and perhaps give a wiggle to your fingers and toes. I hope you'll join me in creating a ripple effect in sharing this practice with someone you know, and as always, thank you for being here, and thank you for being part of our whole again.

And pause, breathe, reflect community,

and if you would like to discover additional micro doses of mindfulness and wisdom, you can download my pause, breathe, reflect app, and join us here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It's seven 11 Eastern. Again, thanks for being here. I appreciate you.
