::people are becoming accepting of it. So. So tell us

::what you do. Hello, Roy. Thank you for having me

::on your podcast. It's a real pleasure being here. Your

::introduction was right on point. AI is not either negative

::or positive. AI is a tool. AI is a solution.

::AI is technology inherently. It doesn't have anything bad in
13
::it. I like to compare it to money. Money is
14
::a currency, and money doesn't change people. It turns them
15
::into who they really are. AI is the same. AI

::is technology. When you start interacting with AI, if you're
17
::a worker, you work even more. If you're a learner,
18
::you learn even more. And if you have bad thing

::in your head, it will make it even worse. I

::love what you said there. If you're a worker, you'll

::work even more. Because that's so true, right? Yeah. I

::found myself suffering from this AI overwhelm for a long

::period of the journey because as an entrepreneur, I think

::one of our skills and our strengths and our weaknesses

::is that we see opportunities everywhere. AI comes along and

::the number of opportunities just multiplies by a thousand times.

::So you try and do all of them. And as

::business owners, we have one thing we need to do.

::Fix the problem that you're trying to fix. Stan. This

::Ideas are flowing. And now we have this wonderful tool

::that let us explore, go as deep as we've ever

::wanted to do our whole life. I'm talking to myself,

::and the way you're talking, I know what the feeling.

::I'm digging so deep into knowledge. As a man, all

::my life I've always been putting attention on, making sure

::that every day of my life I'm learning something. I

::was always thinking that a day when you not learn

::something, is there a day you wasted in itself? So

::now with AI, I'm overwhelmed. There's a lot of AI

::bashing, but people are afraid on how to tackle AI.

::And I tell anyone that wants to listen. If you

::want to work in AI, work with AI. Work around

::AI. Start by the beginning. Ask AI a question, learn

::something, any subject, something you love, a passion, what you're

::working, the relationship with, your kids, your wife. Just ask.

::Let it come to you then dig, pull the thread

::and in itself you will learn something. But along the

::way you will learn what is AI, how you need

::to harness AI. AI is just as good as the

::one piloting it. You have to adjust. We need to

::be problem solvers, entrepreneur. But I think this is exactly

::what AI is and what AI needs problem solving. We

::don't need any more of the young, the guys. Those

::guys were good for 20 years. Now people like us,

::a little bit older, with a lot of experience, AI

::is exactly what we needed. You wake up in the

::day as a business owner, you have 10 problems. By

::the end of the day we'd have solved three, but

::you would have gotten maybe 10 more. But that's fine,

::that's exactly what you do it. And exactly. AI is

::the most important advancement in technology. I agree. I think

::there's a deeper lessons that we learn from AI I'll

::give you an example. You have a team of staff

::members, or your family or your friends and you go

::through life believing that you're communicating well. Then you start

::playing with ChatGPT and you ask it to do something

::and it gives you rubbish. You ask it to do

::one or two things and then you suddenly have to

::self reflect what am I doing wrong that's making this

::not work? So you look at the question that you've

::just asked and you say, I wasn't very clear. How

::can I be more clear? And this is a journey

::of mastery, right? You have to go through the steps

::of this journey of mastery. And as you do this,

::I now communicate much better with everybody else because, because

::of AI. It just happened today for me. I, I

::actually for the past eight months have never learned as

::much as my whole life. I'm visiting territories that I

::would have never dared to visit before with confidence because

::I've got a sidekick. I got sidekicks with are different

::agents that are supporting me, that are patient, that are

::elegant. But I had this example specifically today. I was

::working on a piece of code to, to retrieve data.

::I didn't know anything about this eight months ago. So

::I worked on it, I learned and AI trained me.

::I didn't only train my AI, he trained me in

::return. It was not the ultimate result I dreamt of,

::but I was happy. And now I wake up this

::morning and I say I need to do better on

::that subject, something is wrong. I deep dive in it

::with the agent and the agent in a minute comes

::back with a much more elegant solution for me. So

::I'm asking myself, why didn't he Deliver that elegant solution

::seven months ago. He knew it. He's been here all

::along. But I didn't ask that. This is exactly it.

::So you learn about yourself, you learn about engagement, you

::learn about workflows, you learn about old guardrails. I've got

::this massive intelligence in front of me that's ready to

::do something with me, but now I'm going to tame

::it. And the funny thing I would add is that

::it has changed the way I interact with people, but

::it has definitely changed the way I hire people nowadays.

::First of all, I see my agents as HR resources,

::not machines. And I treat them as such. When I'm

::upset, I tell them. When I'm happy, I tell them.

::When I need to push a button, I push it.

::I treat the same way people are mirroring. If someone.

::It used to be that you look at the resume,

::what have you done? You test the person. It's over

::for me. I asked the person to come. I said,

::okay, I have this problem. You have your phone, you

::can have Gemini. I do not care. I will come

::back in 30 minutes. And I'm not asking you to

::find a solution, but I'm asking you, what are you

::able to deliver in 30 minutes using the agent that

::gonna show me that you will find a solution for

::me. And this has changed because of AI. And I

::know so many HR people that are still doing it

::wrong. They receive those people for with their resume. They

::say, put your phone away. This is insane. You don't

::do that anymore. You have the agents, you live with

::the agents. You know, you embrace the agents. I've written

::a book that I'll be releasing soon called thinking outside

::your brain with AI. And one of the core principles

::in there is that we've always had to learn information

::into our brain. We've had to take in this information,

::reading good books, doing things, learn the stuff, then store

::the stuff, then process the stuff. And now we're in

::an age we don't have to do that. We can

::think outside our brain. Yeah, I want to design a

::website now. I'm not a designer. I don't have that

::skill. But I can get that skill outside my brain.

::I can tell the agent, I want you to be

::a designer of this type with this skill. And I

::can know how to direct it in such a way

::that I now don't have to go and learn how

::to be a designer. I can get the job done

::right now. That doesn't take away from designers. I've never

::been very arty. I've Never been able to draw a

::picture. I've never been able to do these things to

::that level that I see people sit down with a

::piece of paper and do it. But now I can

::get the job done right. I can get what I

::needed to done by using this concept of thinking outside

::my brain. One example, I use Notion as a database

::tool and I use Claud code. Claud code is my

::favorite. Cl. Cl is my favorite at the moment. And.

::Yeah. Have you ever had a really good receptionist or

::a really good personal assistant? Yeah. You're talking a human

::one. Yeah, a human one. Yeah. No, I've had two.

::I've had two in my life. And normally what happens

::is they're with me for three weeks and then I

::can't deal with you, or your brain is all over

::the place and they go. Because I'm always thinking about

::15 different things at once. And now during my workflow

::with my Claude, I'm like, okay, I've got this idea.

::Just let's work on this idea. Just. Why don't you

::put this into Notion for me? And it goes away

::and it puts into notion. I'm like, okay, give me

::the databases, give me the pages. Yeah, that's right. This

::is wrong. And I can now. Now it's outside. I

::don't have to store that in my head anymore. It's

::outside my head, and it just frees up the space

::inside my head. So I've gotten way more time for

::thinking because I don't have to be storing as much.

::I do that all the time. If anybody's listening and

::just starting with AI you hear what Roy is saying

::right now. You're not talking only about work. You're talking

::about organization. This is the core of anything you want

::to do in your work life. And you know that

::because you've been entrepreneur even before the AI era. You

::know that's not new. You just apply it. For me,

::it's the same. I'm very strict with my agents. Do

::it in best practice. Do it elegantly. Present me a

::safe solution. Safe, best practice. Elegant. Those are words I

::keep on saying. Because I need my agent to know

::who I am, how I work. Maybe you're an artist

::and you want your agent to be free. Tell him

::to be free. Tell him I give you all the

::freedom in the world. Deliver something for me, myself. No,

::I'm strict. So the way I interact with them is.

::Okay, we've tackled a subject today. Write me an operational

::book, send it to me in PDF, put it in

::your knowledge base. Put it in notion, do what you

::would do if you were with humans. I think there's

::one more thing, the context window. People don't understand this.

::I encourage people to think about this. Every time you

::use a large language model, you start working on the

::thread and you go deeper and it's doing really well.

::And then at some point it stops doing well. Right.

::The reason for this is that as you're going through

::it can only remember the last few things, the last

::five or six prompts, something like Claude tries to load

::the whole thread every time, it uses up all your

::tokens. Just not an efficient way of practice. If you

::think of the each thread that you run as I've

::got five to ten prompts in here before I need

::to get this information out and then go to a

::different thread, you know, then you can start getting to

::something useful. So now this is very important because

::now we are slightly moving from discussing what AI can

::do for you to what do you need to put

::on top of the AI layer to really create a

::business, create a story, create what you are building. And

::I think that today, any workflow

::that you're building with an AI needs three more things.

::It needs data, your data. You need automations because you

::have all those agents, you want them to work together,

::you want them to attach with the data. Notion of

::space, notion of time, all those things are linked to

::automation. And now next are workflows. You're pulling a thread

::and as deep as you go into the thread. So

::what workflow does is that you keep a focus on

::one thread, whatever it is, generative, video, text, music, math,

::you keep it. And then you open a new agent,

::you say, okay, connect. And now I know you know

::that, Roy, but I'm trying to tell to anybody who's

::listening, but it works. Now you have a workflow of

::two systems. And by the way, those things existed forever

::but were only accessible for medium and large companies. Now

::the sea level is getting higher for everyone. So now

::if you have workflows, data, automation, those three things on

::top of the AI layer will make you what you

::want to build. Now you're getting into something real. Yeah,

::and I think there's something deeper in that as well.

::As entrepreneurs especially, you know, 5, 10, 15, even 20

::people, companies, we go into the business and we start

::with, we do everything ourselves, then we hire somebody. And

::every time we hire somebody, we're giving them what we

::know how to do, we're giving them some instructions, but

::we don't give them the correct instructions. We don't give

::them their standard operating procedure properly. Let them do it,

::because we haven't got the time to do all of

::that. To your point of workflows, you can't create a

::workflow unless step by step. Exactly what you do, right?

::So if you're going to go to NHN or Zapier

::or make.com or any of these tools and try and

::automate things, the very first thing you need to do

::is know exactly, step by step, what the process is

::you're doing. And then you have to build the human

::in. Because if you don't build the human in, then

::you lost. Check the AI. Give it a task. That's

::a small task. Make sure it can flow. Make sure.

::out exactly what your SOPs are is fundamental. Yes,

::a better worker and probably a better human in many

::aspects. This is something that I've learned. Not that I

::didn't apply before in my career. I had businesses, I

::had workflows in my career. But now all those resources

::that AI brings you allow you to take a step

::back. You didn't take in the old world because you

::didn't have the tool. So you just go boom. You're

::bootstrapping what you're doing. But now, because it is so

::efficient, now you can see the big picture. So you

::take a step back for a moment. It already goes

::very fast. It's enough. Speed is good, it's locked down.

::Now let's do something else. Let's see the big picture.

::And it's very interesting because that's exactly how we decided

::to build our company. Taking a step back for a

::tool that is already mature and it already used in

::the workplace, but not by becoming the next SaaS company

::selling that tool door to door. Take a step back.

::See the big picture here. Yes, this is something that

::you acquire because AI give you the structure to acquire

::it. Now there's so much around the fact that AI

::is going to take my job, it's going to take

::the jobs. We've all heard the stories and the arguments

::one way or the other. And yes, AI is going

::to be doing 70% of the jobs within the next

::two years. But this gives us such an opportunity. If

::you have a 10 user company, those people are busy

::doing 70% of their day, repetitive tasks that they don't

::really enjoy doing. But they also have 30% of their

::capacity that they could be doing more human. They could

::be connecting, they could be engaging, they could be interacting,

::they could be doing customer service better, they could be

::having more time to go out and do sales more

::effectively. A salesman that goes out and is able to

::do 10 meetings in a day has been taken away.

::He's going to be much more efficient and he's going

::to be much happier. So my challenge for business owners

::right now is how do you bring more human to

::your company? Because as we go into this AI world,

::we're going to have two things happening. A bunch of

::people will automate everything and just have AI do everything.

::Then other people are going to go and say, let's

::be more human. Right? This gives us the opportunity. And

::everybody that does AI to everything is going to look

::bland. Those companies that value the human, those are the

::ones that are going to stand out. AI as a

::new technology is a growth engine. There's absolutely no doubt

::about that. So it's creating wealth. If it's creating wealth,

::people will hire people. This is not changing because we

::need that problem solving, that thinking out of the

::box. That doesn't do AI, doesn't think out of the

::box. It's a in a box. So we have this

::thing that is inherently human that needs to be here

::to use AI properly. Now, what about job? That's going

::to be lost. I'm going to be cynical and pretty

::blunt. I come from a country, France, where I'm born

::and raised, where in the workplace you have a massive

::amount of people whose soul work in life is

::navigating between the politics of the company that are existing,

::between the water cooler and the coffee machine. Right. Profile,

::personalized. Those don't deserve to work in the workplace unless

::they want to change the way they're doing things. So

::if the price of AI is for them to lose

::their job, I'm okay with that. Yes. It's maybe hard

::to say or hard to hear because I don't have

::problems saying it, but if you change the way you're

::doing things, if you adjust and decide that your life

::is about working and creating and making moves, everything

::going to be fine now. So

::where do you see things going? We've got so much

::going on at the moment, and we'll talk a little

::bit about your company and maybe some of your history

::before that. What did you do beforehand? I know you're

::in Israel at the moment, which is scary. So Tell

::me a little bit about your history beforehand before you're

::now in the AI space. Yes, I was an entrepreneur

::all my life. I started back in 1993. I was

::22 in the environment business in France and I

::was working with public companies, I was working with government

::entities. So what I was telling you about, I know

::very well. And one thing that I've learned because I

::still love my country and where I come from, when

::you live in France, when you're born in France, when

::you're raised and educated there, and I would say that

::for all over Europe, you acquire a sense of craftsmanship

::that is unique. You have a sense of detail, you

::know what to do, those little things that people do

::not see but feel when you're building a project. That's

::what we're good at in Europe. But then I moved

::to America because I had the American dream. So I

::had a window of opportunity. I was just married and

::I tell my newly wife, let's go, I want to

::do it. And the good thing was that it was

::2002, right after the Internet bubble and it was really

::the land of opportunity in many ways. Everybody had lost

::their money. In 1999, Google was just starting. It was

::like the far west in literally. So I just deep

::dive into E commerce and I had the best time

::of my life from then to 2020. This was 20

::years when I built using e commerce, SEO, SEM, social

::media, you name it. And I have tons of story.

::But it was very beautiful times. And there I came

::from craftsmanship to learning efficiency. Now I'm in

::America. You need to learn craftsmanship, but at a certain

::point you just stop and do your go to market

::because go fetch that money. Learn to adjust. And now

::I have two luggages with me. It's efficient, literally. And

::now I opened this new company on AI and I'm

::opening an office in Israel because here in Tel Aviv

::there are many very strong resources in terms of technology

::and specifically AI. And now I'm here and I'm working

::and going to the under the building every other hours

::because they're bombings. And now I learned something else. I

::learned urgency. Craftsmanship is good, but not when bomba are

::on your head, no, when there's no tomorrow, you're still

::working now, you work differently, you think differently. So now

::I move from craftsmanship to efficiency to urgency. And I'm

::54, so I think that when you're blessed enough, because

::this is my wealth, I've been able to travel and

::see different cultures and different way of Thinking those are

::the things that make me who I am. Especially being

::business. It allowed me to build company expanding worldwide. I
