Hi, this is Bill Sikkens, host of User-Friendly 2.0. Saturday's here on “The Answer” with this week's Tech Wednesday. There's a date coming up to mark in your books and that date is October 14th of 2025. What's happening on that date? Well, that's the last day that Windows 10 will receive updates and is officially considered an out-of-date, obsolete piece of software. So what does this mean to you? We've had a lot of listener questions coming in on this and we're going to be talking about what you need to do to stay safe and keep your computer running.
We will answer questions like “does it automatically mean that you're not going to be able to use your PC anymore?” Or “what are some of the things that may happen if you decide not to upgrade?” Another question is, “can you upgrade to Windows 11? And should you?”
So we're going be deep diving into this a little bit and talking about what the end of life actually means, what you need to do about it, if anything, and what are some solutions that may not cost you a lot of money to be able to keep on top of things.
That's this Saturday here on User Friendly 2.0, here on The Answer.
