Welcome to Day 597 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.

This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom

Walk With the Wise – Wisdom Unplugged

Walk with the wise 1

Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 597 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from C. S. Lewis who said, “The next best thing to being wise oneself is to live in a circle of those who are.”

Walk with the wise 4

Wisdom is a virtue and character trait that everyone should be continually pursuing as if it were a valuable treasure. Proverbs 2:2-4 tells us, “Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.”

One of the best and quickest ways to become wise is to invest time with those individuals who have already obtained a certain level of wisdom. Seek out wise mentors, invest time with them, live among them, and learn from their wise ways.  Our lives will become like those that we invest the most time with. To reap a harvest of wisdom, you must first plant the seeds of wisdom in your life. This is a fundamental and unbreakable law of God. The Apostle Paul emphasized this in his letter that he wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:33, “Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

Walk with the wise 5

The opposite of this is also true as we read in Proverbs 13:20, “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”

That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote. If you would like free access to my database of over 10,000 inspirational quotes, the link is available on the main page of Wisdom-Trek.com.
