I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

starting the year off, and you're gonna get motivated right now is a place for motivation was temporary, you know it, because if it worked, you wouldn't have to keep using motivation. He wouldn't have to keep finding new ways you wouldn't ever setbacks that makes you reliant on external stimulus you're always having to find something else to get you up music and someone revenue up a artificial stimulant, say caffeine or sugar or something, then they get it wrong. It's important to put good stuff good fuel in the body. But no one we're reliant on it. Again, it's like I mentioned in yesterday's episode, it's forced motivation will become forced if you keep trying to push it on yourself. Finding inner drive inner belief inspiration, that's where you change habits to find that ability within you that will keep you moving forward. So when you set your resolutions for the when you're looking for motivation, credit shift come back to why what's the purpose so it's not just about getting fit, getting healthy, creating new habits being more determined or whatever your resolutions are something about weight or working faster, getting more organized, be more successful, whatever it is not about forcing him but it's about changing that in the belief by finding your why knowing the purpose when you have those things, what will actually give you what's the outcome that those goals or resolutions that you've set for yourself or as I said yesterday intentions what's on the other side of that so when you get healthy what will they give you more energy improve your relationships, improve your mental health all of those different things and then we'll we'll add give you what what's at the essence of your why what's the what's the actual purpose of these resolutions unless you have that in place, you will forever be at the mercy of trying to find motivation so we talked about last week about cleaning up your space and having positive expectations and looking at the year past reflecting on the and then setting yourself up for the new year. It's so important that you have that inspiration that you know why it's not necessarily the starting point because unless you know what you're working towards, then the why is almost irrelevant. But it needs to be in the conversation because quite often we get stuck in this surface level, well, I just want to be fitter I want to be healthier. Why? For me, I want to be able to live for a long, long time and have an impact. I want to be there for my children, for my grandchildren for my great grandchildren. I want to have a quality of life. And a lot of this stuff is tied to to the moment with my dad passing right. He died at 64. Now I plan on living much, much longer than that. That's my why. So my intentions for the year are all tied to that. Long life being there for my family, and legacy, leaving an impact. So my why each year very much revolves around those things, why would they not? That's what I really want. On the other side of being healthy is the long term benefits. The other side of being healthy is it gives me more energy and allows more time, more moments, more experiences, that I wouldn't otherwise have to take the time to find that inspiration. Because when you can find those ones that are more powerful than your fear, then they stick around and they will continue to drive you for the rest of your life. Not just for the year.
