Pastor Bireti Reverien is the President and Founder of Adonai Holy Family Ministry in Rwanda. He is a pastor, teacher, and servant of God with a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and raising leaders for the Kingdom of God.
Through Adonai Holy Family Ministry, Pastor Bireti is committed to evangelism, discipleship, pastoral training, church planting, and serving vulnerable communities, including families, children, widows, and people in need.
He holds a Degree in Theology and has dedicated his life to equipping believers, strengthening families, and helping churches grow spiritually. His vision is to see transformed communities through the power of God's Word and the love of Christ.
Pastor Bireti lives and ministers in Rwanda, where he continues to serve God by building a generation of faithful disciples and leaders.

For those listening, what part of the world are you in today?
Speaker:
Central Africa.
Speaker:
How did you come to meet Jesus, Pastor?
Speaker:
I met Jesus when I was a Christian.
Speaker:
That is in 1985.
Speaker:
What was your experience?
Speaker:
What happened?
Speaker:
What was the story behind meeting Jesus?
Speaker:
My father and mother are Christians, so I learned from them.
Speaker:
I grew in that family where there is Christianity, and they were Pentecostal.
Speaker:
So we grew up in such a way when my parents are Christian.
Speaker:
But in that year of 19, it's when I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
Speaker:
And when it came to 2000, it's when I was called to be a pastor.
Speaker:
So from that year, we continue in evangelism, planting churches, going in different areas, preaching.
Speaker:
We planted churches everywhere in our country.
Speaker:
And I developed some core of teaching other pastors from different churches, and I planted many churches.
Speaker:
Up to now, we are working in four provinces of Rwanda.
Speaker:
Although it's very difficult now because churches are closed, we persist.
Speaker:
We have never stopped.
Speaker:
We continue preaching.
Speaker:
We gather different Christians in groups, and we group pastors so that we preach to them, we teach them, and we see that it brings some fruits.
Speaker:
Now we are devised to build churches.
Speaker:
The churches that we had before were not good, and we are now constructing a new church with all the requirements that the government wants.
Speaker:
In Rwanda here, churches are closed, but there are so many requirements that government needs to be fulfilled so that they open the churches.
Speaker:
Okay.
Speaker:
So is it the safety of the structure?
Speaker:
Yes.
Speaker:
A way to construct the church with the big plot, standard protection, soundproofs.
Speaker:
Okay.
Speaker:
There are so many.
Speaker:
The church is under attack in terms of the challenges that are being put before it.
Speaker:
Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker:
You know, Rwanda is developing very rapidly.
Speaker:
The church should not be left behind.
Speaker:
Yeah.
Speaker:
Well, that's a good thing, right?
Speaker:
So you talked about 1985, and then moving forward to 2000, did you get married in the midst of that, or did you remain a single man?
Speaker:
I got married in 1996.
Speaker:
Okay.
Speaker:
So almost a decade after you got married.
Speaker:
Two girls and four boys.
Speaker:
Okay.
Speaker:
Is it challenging to have ministry there?
Speaker:
What is the biggest challenge?
Speaker:
The challenge that we face is to have some ability, like transport, transportation, gathering people for such an event of preaching, and other requirements that we should have to be able to preach the gospel in Rwanda.
Speaker:
What are you seeing for the future of the churches and the ministers that you're working with?
Speaker:
Yeah.
Speaker:
In fact, the vision that we have for the church is to evangelize, but again, to equip, to teach and equip the pastors.
Speaker:
You know, here in Rwanda, now a pastor must have a degree or a diploma in theology.
Speaker:
So without a degree or a diploma, you can't stand before a congregation preaching.
Speaker:
You need to have a knowledge in theology.
Speaker:
Who provides that?
Speaker:
Who gives the degree or the diplomas?
Speaker:
You have to go under the course.
Speaker:
Okay.
Speaker:
A Bible school or a theological school.
Speaker:
A theological school.
Speaker:
Is it expensive?
Speaker:
Yeah, it is too expensive in Rwanda here.
Speaker:
How can people assist you that are listening with the challenges that you're having there?
Speaker:
Yeah, the first thing that someone can assist is to help us to teach our pastors.
Speaker:
That's the most important, to teach the pastors, because most of the pastors that we have, they don't have enough knowledge of the Bible.
Speaker:
And you can't teach the Bible when you don't know it.
Speaker:
And another thing is to teach our youth.
Speaker:
Our youth.
Speaker:
Yeah, the youth is the church of today and tomorrow.
Speaker:
And it's the strength of the church.
Speaker:
So we feel if someone helps us to teach the youth and the pastors, I think we can overcome the challenges.
Speaker:
Can that be done virtually?
Speaker:
Do the people have the resources to log in virtually and go through a diploma in theology via the internet?
Speaker:
Well, it can be.
Speaker:
Through internet it can work.
Speaker:
Yeah, is it possible?
Speaker:
It's possible.
Speaker:
But again, if we have a missionary coming to Rwanda, it's the best way.
Speaker:
Though it's a bit difficult, but if we have a missionary here...
Speaker:
Understanding that your voice will be immortalized on this recording, if you're listening to this five years from today, what's a message you could leave for yourself?
Speaker:
What would you tell yourself listening to this five years from today?
Speaker:
By the will of God and by the power of God, I think God will enable us and God will help us to continue reaching out in preaching the gospel, not here in Rwanda, but even to other countries like Burundi, Congo, and elsewhere, Uganda.
Speaker:
So we hope God will use us to do more and more things.

Yes.
