The beauty and peace of a beach or tropical escape often feel like paradise, and leaving it behind can stir a deep longing to stay. That desire reflects something greater—humanity was created to live in perfect communion with God. Though sin has separated us from that reality, it has not erased the longing for it. Jesus revealed that true paradise is found in His presence, promising the repentant thief that he would be with Him in paradise. For those who belong to Christ, this world is not home—heaven is the place where that longing will one day be fully satisfied in the presence of the Lord.
