00:01:29Hey Angela, thanks for being on women conquer business. Thanks so much for having me. Awesome to be here. It's so great to have you. Can you tell us a little bit about your journey as an entrepreneur love to sew with my little Lima Findlay. He's not going to be little much longer. He turned 10 at the end of this month. When I first met him. I was just looking at all the baby toys that were around. And what really struck me was because there is so much of his battery operated and that's okay. Just drive. Toys in the Bios that are battery operated by some Beano. I just was thinking back to my own childhood growing up in the farm in Canada, Alberta Canada, and I just remembered what I'd like. Is there so much to be said about, just going outside being connected with nature and you had to learn it on her own. And so I started look for toys that were readily available. That would spark of imagination work on the fine motor skill development.

00:03:11I think that is so cool. And I just love how you started one business, and then now it's grown into something else. Something that I've also noticed about. Your marketing is that you talked about how you made a lot of mistakes along the way. Do you want to speak to any of those? And how that helps you say, when I first looked at everything as mistakes and failures because the game, when you're first starting an entrepreneur, the world everything I need to take things to heart. But as I've gotten older, and I've gotten wiser, and I've also gotten more years behind. I actually am very grateful for those mistakes mistakes. I believe. I now look at our lessons in metal lessons that I needed in order to put the puzzle pieces together. And in order for me to grow from pillar to tell her, we were going

::

00:05:04It's your old place. Here we go again, movie to my next, my next step was so cool. Is it's not necessarily successes and failures. It's just lessons and then it is what allows you to grow and and look at you today. I mean, you're doing fantastic stuff. Thank you for that. You have to work there. So you have to work hard. I think you just have to let you start till you learn to work smarter, but I do think that it any business, you know, yeah, you better be mindful of the hospital is everyone on Instagram talks about are a lot of the nurse talking about

00:07:03First World countries, the AR level of loneliness in Suisun right? To such are much higher than this third world countries. We need to be thinking about how interactions in order to have you stand out and keep your business going stronger than than your competitors. I think that that is so true and, and I appreciate automation a lot. But I also love connecting with Brands where I feel like I'm special, or I'm communicating with the people behind the scenes and not just with automation. Can you give me an example of humid? Humid marketing that you loved one hundred percent. So, when I was pregnant with Finley, there is a beautiful little restaurant Cafe here in Brisbane Australia where I live called tondinis and every single day throughout my pregnancy. I want Anita had a raspberry muffin or a blueberry muffin and I

::

00:09:04That is so great. And I think that he and I live in Portland Oregon, which is pretty well known for like still having a lot of independent businesses, Mom and Pops. And that is 100% the types of interactions that I love, you know, having business meetings with somebody and you know that the people behind the counter know me, I know them and get to introduce them to somebody new. I mean, I think that that is so cool. But that is definitely not the case everywhere in the states and probably not everywhere in the world. So to that, and do you think that humid humid marketing is different depending on the country, but I think there's elements that you would always have to take into consideration because every country has its unique me to Norms in cultures and well-being. But if you look at it again, just human beings, just in general. We all still have our, you know, our emotional and beans and our need for belonging and our need for

::

00:11:04They're going to leave the conversion.

::

00:11:17But I think there's three main reasons that I've seen throughout my time and being in business. In one, I get it could shock. A few people thought, most recent Studies have concluded that your son, talk to Paul that briefly, right. So you too. I also believe that you must stand out and be the Purple Cow. And for those of you that don't know what I'm talking about. The purple cow is a book by Seth Godin and amazing book. If you have it, read it in WhatsApp. Basically talks about is when him and his family were driving in France. They were going dead at all so that they were just like an all these beautiful flowers. They're like Brown House, White House, whatever. But eventually they became boring because they just said they were everywhere and what he says, but what would really be cool is if you were the Purple Cow, and he says that would be remarkable, that would be different and that would stand up. So, in the end of the Wadi, indeed it is in business is now

00:12:50Very sensible and yet I don't know that everybody is employing. He would human Mark people are okay, but like we're probably doing it, but maybe they didn't know the term human-to-human marketing some people's and use the Universal Charm. People-to-people sopita peor. H2h right pocket like we're doing today. I probably don't have much interaction with my with my clients on a regular basis or and I probably would need to look at this. Thank you for bringing it to your attention. Like some of the stuff it is not rocket science. I can get all that all the cafe. There is they say, good morning. It's like it's not like they're, you know, giving me a back massage and either giving me Gucci watches, our bags when I'm leaving to get the simple. Hello, in an interaction.

::

00:14:50You touch people's lives. You build networks. You be real, he stay open. And when you do this, to become profitable, so it's always about having the interest to court interested. What is it that human who's buying from? You actually needs versus how quickly in the traditional sales process? How quickly can I get there? Cuz my car to be done with them. So again by trading the value touching people's building, the networks would be very hard-pressed not to become profitable. I love that.

::

00:16:19So I don't know many businesses that are doing that now granted, but let's be honest, their scale of parcels. They don't want to talk in tens of thousands of Amazon. I think they would be very hard-pressed to be able to pick up the phone. However, I would challenge a company like Amazon because they've got more profit margin or right to be able to sexually. Hire people who could do that exact same thing. OK. Google is that really the high touch point? They can send emails and I still want them Corporate email that you say. Hi. I just left. Your order has been dispatched, but it's not follow up, right? Where they're staying open their building, the Network's aka the relationships and people continue to come back and buy experience that.

::

00:17:45I think that's so great. So, how do you use human human Marketing in your own business?

::

00:18:53I received over the years. Thank you so much. You make me feel like, I'm in my sales team for their was. So, I offer one-to-one coaching a group coaching and they'll do is Bill have a sales team that kind of prequalify, everyone. Well, I don't know about you, but you are going to ask questions about it. And I don't have a sales team that to my Discovery called on the one that pops on the calls with others. Continue to tell me, I shouldn't I take that 30 minutes because if someone's going to work with me for 6 months in a 1/16 model, they should they make sure that on the right, but I need to make sure that I can add value and get their business.

::

00:20:53Put your program. And so I rang each and every one of them. Now, out of the 10 only to answered. Once again, this is what I'm saying. You want me to pick up the phone, please, because it's random number and they don't want to talk to many people. But by the fact that you leave a message, you're going to really shocked people. So I can see people that I answered the door. So it can't be you because you're on the way to the mall. You told us, you're leaving her body. Was like, what? Who is this? You picked up the phone and called like their their reaction was something I never expected, but that's what I mean, is people aren't willing to take that little a

::

00:22:01Now, I think that's so great. It's building those relationships, not only in person. But even if the person isn't sitting directly in front of you, and, and that's what makes it so unique. It's like a lesson in politeness for business owners. Really? That's really what it comes down to just like people. I think you're taking for granted their successes in business of the only reason why your business is because of these humans that are buying your products. So to me is just give back to them and they will continue to get back to you. And you'll remember, there's a beautiful man by the name of blue and yellow and he runs a podcast, Republic, beautiful story about. I met him at the Philippines in a mastermind Prospect.
