Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's demands, struggling to find clarity and focus amidst the chaos?
I've been there, and I understand how challenging it can be to navigate through the noise and distractions that surround us daily.
In this heartfelt conversation, I share my personal journey from a place of fear and control to one of openness and receptivity.
I explore the common challenges we face in maintaining clarity and focus, and offer insights on how to shift into a more receptive state.
I also touch on the importance of embodying change rather than just intellectually understanding it. By aligning ourselves with a higher frequency, we can naturally become more receptive to solutions and less reactive to triggers.
Join me in this exploration of how to thrive in times of great change by becoming a master receiver. Let's discover together how to flourish through life's challenges and tap into the boundless creativity that exists within and around us.
Let's embark on this journey of transformation and unlock the power of receptivity in your life.
Hi there.
Speaker:It's Jennifer again.
Speaker:So great to be with you.
Speaker:And I was just wondering over the course of, you know, everything that's going on
Speaker:in the world lately, I see so many people asking themselves the question, including
Speaker:myself, what's the greatest thing I can do with the skills I already have that
Speaker:would make the biggest difference, you know, Have me waking up feeling inspired
Speaker:and going to bed knowing that I'm living what I came here to live and I wonder
Speaker:if you ever get a little stuck on.
Speaker:Why am I here?
Speaker:Like, what am I doing?
Speaker:What's my reason for being?
Speaker:Or is what I'm already doing enough?
Speaker:Or maybe you're looking for a big change and that's what we're
Speaker:here to move through today.
Speaker:You know, we don't have much time, so we're going to do some exercises at least
Speaker:that start to move the needle on the idea of who you are and why you're here.
Speaker:Or not even that many, many people are already doing
Speaker:something that speaks to them.
Speaker:Um, and I want to say that your purpose has very little to do
Speaker:with what you do for a career.
Speaker:It more has to do with how you do what you do in your career.
Speaker:It has to do with what you contribute to those around you.
Speaker:Um, so that's a place where I want to begin today is that it's
Speaker:not so much about your purpose.
Speaker:As in your job that you should be doing.
Speaker:Consider that for a moment.
Speaker:Welcome to the Thriving Life Podcast.
Speaker:I'm Jennifer Huff.
Speaker:I'm on a mission to empower you with the knowledge, experiences, and tools
Speaker:to turn your dreams into reality.
Speaker:You're ready for permanent shifts in your ability to stay unstuck,
Speaker:make glass ceilings your new floors, and want practical tools rooted in
Speaker:applied physics and neuroplasticity to live a life of fulfillment.
Speaker:This podcast is for you.
Speaker:Let's get thriving together.
Speaker:We're going to answer, uh, a little bit about why you feel overwhelmed
Speaker:or why there seems to be some dissonance or a sense of urgency
Speaker:inside that maybe there is something more, but you're just not on it.
Speaker:And, uh, also how to get, gain clarity on an ongoing way.
Speaker:And so that you can have confidence moving forward that even if there
Speaker:is something else, clarity, it.
Speaker:Something else that would bring you more fulfillment, you actually
Speaker:would be able to hook into that in a way that is much more efficient or
Speaker:expedient, let's say, I think, in order to contextualize today, it would be
Speaker:good to talk about a greater view of.
Speaker:life.
Speaker:In fact, the context of not to get too deep right at the beginning, but
Speaker:the context of the meaning of life.
Speaker:Why, why are we here as a species?
Speaker:I was watching a physicist the other day on Facebook.
Speaker:Uh, he was doing a reel.
Speaker:He's very well known.
Speaker:I love watching him.
Speaker:And.
Speaker:He felt much the same way that I do about this world, he said, you know, we're
Speaker:flying through space, you know, the earth is flying through space in the solar
Speaker:just in the solar system itself at 66, 000 something or other miles an hour.
Speaker:You are a collection, you know, the, the, the, the bang that gave way to
Speaker:the atoms in this universe and the guts got spilled into this universe of all
Speaker:the original atoms that ever were, and they kept giving birth to new and new
Speaker:and new until there were planets and.
Speaker:And solar systems and there were nebula and comets and all the
Speaker:things that we see in the night sky
Speaker:and you're made of that stardust and you're flying through space
Speaker:at 66, 000 miles an hour, by the way, that's just flying through
Speaker:this solar system in that speed.
Speaker:It's much faster when you consider the speed of how the solar system moves
Speaker:through the galaxy and the speed at which the galaxy moves through the universe.
Speaker:So even though you're incredibly or sometimes we feel incredibly insignificant
Speaker:you gotta understand the confluence of things that had to happen to get
Speaker:you to have a an essence that pours through a physicality that's made
Speaker:of stardust is pretty spectacular.
Speaker:I don't care how spiritual or not spiritual you are just scientifically
Speaker:you know from the greater perspective of astrophysics it's pretty astounding that
Speaker:an amoeba could eventually come from the water and become you so when we talk about
Speaker:purpose or when i talk about your purpose hey how about first of all you're alive
Speaker:you're here you're You matter because the fact that there could have been millions
Speaker:of souls pouring through that body at this time, you know, this little meat
Speaker:suit that you have and you know, eight and a half billion or nine billion meat
Speaker:suits at this point, it's pretty amazing.
Speaker:So from that perspective, when we talk about purpose, instead of feeling
Speaker:like we're insignificant and our significant significance relies on having
Speaker:some highfalutin thing that either, either, you know, changes the world
Speaker:or, um, or even just has you get by.
Speaker:What if there wasn't even a purpose for you being alive?
Speaker:What is if just being alive is the gift?
Speaker:And the question now is what are you going to do with the gift?
Speaker:So we look at, look at it from not desperation or danger or, Oh my
Speaker:God, what's going on in the world.
Speaker:Oh my gosh, I need to survive this life or I need to make sure that no
Speaker:matter what happens with an upcoming election or the wars or whatever it
Speaker:is, I just got to make sure my little piece of the puzzle is taken care of.
Speaker:Whatever it is, you got to know that if you were born in these times of huge
Speaker:transition and change, that whatever your piece of the puzzle is, whatever
Speaker:that piece of the puzzle that you are.
Speaker:You get to choose to make it matter, but it doesn't have to matter like Mahatma
Speaker:Gandhi or like Martin Luther King.
Speaker:It's got to matter to who's important to you and the people that surround you.
Speaker:You literally are a movement of one.
Speaker:And truly, if you have not watched yet, uh, my TEDx talk, I really recommend it.
Speaker:Everything that you do in every day, never mind getting to some highfalutin purpose.
Speaker:How about your purpose is to expand what's possible for kindness
Speaker:and humanity in this world?
Speaker:And that every act that you do in every way, no matter if it's
Speaker:talking to a customer service rep, Which I did for an hour yesterday,
Speaker:or whether it's being here right now and actually being fully present.
Speaker:So you can ask questions and really utilize this time together, you know,
Speaker:whatever it is to you, who is important to you, what is important to you.
Speaker:So I'm going to ask you right now what the place where we start is what values do you
Speaker:hold so you can type it into the comments.
Speaker:I'd love to see what are your most important values.
Speaker:Love you too, Jackie.
Speaker:What are your most important values?
Speaker:So for me, what I value is, um, I value the reverence for the gift
Speaker:that each person in this world is.
Speaker:Like you, Jackie, for instance.
Speaker:Like my husband, Adam.
Speaker:I have a value of, uh, having compassion and grace.
Speaker:Having compassion for people that are having difficulty.
Speaker:Uh, moving through this life, whether the intensity of now is happening or not.
Speaker:And I have a lot of grace, I have a huge value around grace.
Speaker:It doesn't mean that things don't get done or that somehow everything
Speaker:isn't, you know, we're not trying to do things with a level of, of
Speaker:efficiency and effectiveness, but I've had to have a lot of grace for myself.
Speaker:A lot of your values will come from, Jackie says, kindness.
Speaker:What are your values
Speaker:we're going to get to why this is important when it comes to your purpose
Speaker:so you writing them out or you thinking about them and i'd love again type them
Speaker:into the comment field because then you know i can do a little work with you diane
Speaker:says being love for the people in my life.
Speaker:So I like to have grace because I grew up in perfectionism and I'm so over it.
Speaker:Preston, joy, wonder, creativity, community.
Speaker:I love it.
Speaker:Compassion, uh, Lori Kaye, inclusion, acceptance of others.
Speaker:You go girl.
Speaker:Just keep typing them in.
Speaker:I want to hear.
Speaker:And so, um, because I grew up in a perfectionist, uh, especially with my dad,
Speaker:um, what happened in that perfectionism for me was that I had no grace for myself.
Speaker:In fact, it started to give way to, it started to give way to kind of being
Speaker:hard on myself, which then gave way to so much pressure on me that I started
Speaker:to have migraines in my twenties.
Speaker:And so I have a huge value for grace.
Speaker:I know that I had grace to the point of having too much grace.
Speaker:In other words, things wouldn't get done.
Speaker:So I would give myself too much leeway and I wouldn't be able to create, but
Speaker:grace for other humans and myself is huge.
Speaker:Lori, nature, flow of water, love it, all that stuff.
Speaker:I'm right with you, girl.
Speaker:So, I want you to look at these values that you have.
Speaker:They are, they give you a clue.
Speaker:So these high values for you give you a clue.
Speaker:Quiet time.
Speaker:Absolutely.
Speaker:I have a massive value of spaciousness for myself and others.
Speaker:It's pervasive in the company, but what if the wide awakening was not my purpose?
Speaker:What if the purpose is to pour myself through an excuse
Speaker:called the wide awakening?
Speaker:What if it was, what if my purpose was to pour my Values to make my to
Speaker:express through my values, my own self with the excuse of a comp called the
Speaker:company called the wide awakening.
Speaker:Called the courses we do flight school and what if?
Speaker:Literally have a high value on Efficiency too.
Speaker:I love efficiency That's how I went down the rabbit hole of physics
Speaker:because once you understand physics all of sudden you understand How
Speaker:quickly things can be manifested.
Speaker:It's so fun Nika love and respect for all Yeah, me too, that we're
Speaker:each a gift, that we are each a gift.
Speaker:And I guess ultimately my greatest value, given what I pour through The
Speaker:Wide Awakening, think of your family like an excuse to live your purpose.
Speaker:What if your family is just an excuse to live your purpose?
Speaker:What if The Wide Awakening is just my excuse to live my purpose?
Speaker:So in the wide awakening, one of the things that I do that
Speaker:I love is that I'm passionate.
Speaker:Like one of my super high values is to actually be of assistance or be a catalyst
Speaker:or be an inspiration to others to be able to live the gift that they are.
Speaker:I have a huge value, um, placed on that each of us is a piece of
Speaker:the puzzle of heaven on earth.
Speaker:And I have a huge value of unfolding greater heaven on
Speaker:earth, huge, huge, massive.
Speaker:So the wide awakening and being the president of it is not my purpose.
Speaker:My purpose is actually to unfold a deeper heaven on earth.
Speaker:And if you start to look at your values and you start to look at the way you do
Speaker:what you do, you're going to start to see.
Speaker:What your purpose is and you're already living it.
Speaker:I have a place huge value on understanding others because I was
Speaker:so misunderstood when I was younger.
Speaker:I place huge value on trying to understand and helping others
Speaker:understand the other because I find that through that curiosity,
Speaker:I have a huge value of curiosity.
Speaker:Through that value of curiosity, I About each other seeking to understand
Speaker:instead of being understood all of a sudden what happens is we we
Speaker:start to actually be able to move together in fluidity and in harmony.
Speaker:Not harmony at any cost, because there has to be harmony within yourself.
Speaker:So sometimes harmony takes speaking up.
Speaker:So what if your purpose is more about how you do what you do, and that the
Speaker:what you do, Is simply an excuse to express who you really are and those
Speaker:values so some people feel like you know they pour their values through a
Speaker:company or through a project that they have but it seems like the projects
Speaker:not working like it's not moving fast enough or maybe someone on the team is.
Speaker:Not doing what you think they should do, or maybe they're even,
Speaker:as far as you're concerned, not in integrity with what's up.
Speaker:Well, when you're communicating with that person,
Speaker:the mission that you're on needs to come through in your communication
Speaker:with the person that you're talking to.
Speaker:So it's not being bombastic and going, hey, you know, You're really screwing
Speaker:up, but if I'm all about compassion and grace, then the way I'm going to
Speaker:talk to that person, whoever they are, has to be with compassion and grace.
Speaker:I'll even fire them with compassion and grace.
Speaker:That's your purpose, to spread the love that you are.
Speaker:It's about spreading the values that you hold dear.
Speaker:It's not about protecting them.
Speaker:It's not about trying to control other people from taking them away.
Speaker:It's about
Speaker:Your purpose is to take all those values.
Speaker:So isn't that a strange and wonderful twist?
Speaker:Because when people think they're going to be talking about purpose, don't we
Speaker:think we're going to be talking about the job that you do or the mother that you
Speaker:are, the father that you are, or I don't know, the philanthropy you undertake.
Speaker:Today is a day in these times of huge polarity that for me, I
Speaker:wanted to bring home this idea.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:That you are already so now already being your purpose so
Speaker:another exercise look in your life
Speaker:and type into the chat field or into the comments whether you're listening
Speaker:now or you're listening on memorax you know in the on the replay.
Speaker:Where in your life are you already living that purpose?
Speaker:Where?
Speaker:Where do you be those values?
Speaker:Where do you be that?
Speaker:So for me, I really do attempt to live my values at work.
Speaker:I'm realizing one of the places where I had the most challenge Is
Speaker:living my values with my own self.
Speaker:So I noticed myself doing that, being a lot more gracious and
Speaker:compassionate for myself lately.
Speaker:Where are you already living those values?
Speaker:Where is it easy for you to live those values?
Speaker:Because if that's your purpose, are you doing that with your neighbors?
Speaker:Let's say you have a job that you're not sure about, or that you don't
Speaker:like, or you work with others.
Speaker:The reason why it becomes, breathe, because this is huge, what I'm
Speaker:about to say is really huge.
Speaker:If you aren't living and breathing all of those values that we just talked
Speaker:about at your current work or in your current family, you might say it's so
Speaker:dissatisfying, you know, this work is so dissatisfying or working in this
Speaker:organization or volunteering here or, you know, my family or this, you know,
Speaker:You'll notice that you actually are not being who you are in those places.
Speaker:That's why things become dissatisfying,
Speaker:right?
Speaker:Diane, I know you absolutely to be exactly an expression of your value.
Speaker:So, and Pierrette, thank you for expressing that.
Speaker:It is so simple.
Speaker:The only reason anything becomes dissatisfying is because you're actually
Speaker:not living your purpose through it.
Speaker:It's not that the thing is supposed to be your purpose.
Speaker:It's that the who you're being, and then you change your circumstances
Speaker:because you hope that if I just change my circumstances, I'll feel fulfilled.
Speaker:Well, I got some news that wherever you go, there, you'll be
Speaker:sometimes the only reason you have someone in your organization
Speaker:that's working with you is so that you can be your purpose with them.
Speaker:It isn't even what the organization is doing.
Speaker:That is the issue.
Speaker:There's a gift between you.
Speaker:There's a gift that can be unwrapped between in your, in the
Speaker:outplaying of your relationship using the values that you have.
Speaker:Why do we get overwhelmed?
Speaker:Why do we have fear?
Speaker:And why aren't we clear sometimes?
Speaker:Why does the clarity goes, go away?
Speaker:Those are all, when it comes to actually living who you are through
Speaker:everything you do, overwhelm only comes when you When you take on, when
Speaker:you're trying to change circumstances without understanding that you have
Speaker:resources beyond this earthly plane.
Speaker:So when you get overwhelmed, it's because you're not letting in your greater
Speaker:wisdom, no matter what's going on.
Speaker:It can also be because you're carrying something that isn't yours to carry.
Speaker:The reason we're talking about it, In synchronicity with this idea of
Speaker:purpose is that when you're in overwhelm I can guarantee you not on purpose
Speaker:the second thing that can stop you is from you from expressing all of
Speaker:you and I see this time and time again with clients where they're
Speaker:in an atmosphere where there's lots
Speaker:of strong leadership or lots of people who have amazing ideas about
Speaker:things and then there's this fear of.
Speaker:Uh, speaking up, but I promise you it's in being congruent with yourself
Speaker:and expressing your heart, not trying to control, but expressing your heart.
Speaker:It's in doing that, that everything can come into congruence.
Speaker:Remember, you're Stardust, in a meat suit, flying through
Speaker:space at 66, 000 miles an hour.
Speaker:I think your voice might matter.
Speaker:The coincidences and the science that actually got you here is
Speaker:insane, you can't make it up.
Speaker:So you cannot make a wrong expression or a wrong choice.
Speaker:You can only say what you say and it moves the needle.
Speaker:I've been having powerful conversations with somebody within our company
Speaker:that have just been so bad ass, but that's because I'm being who I am.
Speaker:I can guarantee you that the results with that person could
Speaker:have been very different.
Speaker:Had I not been who I am
Speaker:and the last thing is that you're not used to actually expressing your
Speaker:values yourself where appropriate not appropriate appropriate is the wrong
Speaker:word that's too restrictive where it seems obvious to express when it doesn't
Speaker:seem like it's present like it wouldn't make a difference there's no difference
Speaker:to be made nobody's going to hear you.
Speaker:Um, You know, and when we talk about purpose, it also can't be about you
Speaker:making up for not being heard earlier in your life because that's an ego.
Speaker:That isn't your purpose.
Speaker:That's like, no one ever listened to me or, or, um, you know, I need freedom
Speaker:cause I was so express, so constricted when I was younger or, you know, nobody's
Speaker:ever gonna tell me what to do anymore.
Speaker:All of those things are egoic reactions.
Speaker:I'm talking about that voice that you haven't used that comes from your heart,
Speaker:not your egoic expression that needs to prove that what you have to say has value.
Speaker:That's from the past where someone didn't value you and making
Speaker:up for that is internal work.
Speaker:I'm talking about speaking with some authenticity.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:So, um, so guys, I'm excited.
Speaker:I want to finish up by giving you a little something, something to do here.
Speaker:First of all, make a list of 11 values that you hold dear.
Speaker:Collect evidence for in your life, how you're already living those values.
Speaker:Notice the areas of your life where there's dissatisfaction.
Speaker:And for each of those values, check in and see if you're actually expressing
Speaker:yourself fully into those, because as you do, you'll be living your purpose.
Speaker:Living your purpose is very different than getting clarity on what's next.
Speaker:Getting clarity on what's next in your actually, in your actual
Speaker:actions, is entirely different than living your purpose.
Speaker:We can talk about that on another live event if you want.
Speaker:Certainly that's what the upcoming, um, embodiment workshop is all about.
Speaker:So, um, and.
Speaker:Right now, the biggest action step you can take is please tell five friends, at least
Speaker:five people, you know, and love that we're doing this five fifty five event called
Speaker:finding peace in times of great change.
Speaker:And when we post.
Speaker:The announcement if you can share it with five ten your whole social media
Speaker:like let's do this you guys we've got to be bigger than what's going
Speaker:on in the world right now and this is all about becoming bigger be truly.
Speaker:Not being at the affect of it part of our collective purpose right
Speaker:now is to not wait for other kinds of leadership we are the ones.
Speaker:So again, I encourage you to go back to that Ted talk, the movement of one,
Speaker:share it with people, share it with people that you're inviting to our
Speaker:finding peace in times of great change.
Speaker:Um, and thank you for your comments today.
Speaker:I really appreciate you guys so much.
Speaker:I know you're each your own movement of one to many in this world.
Speaker:And when we collectively come together, we're a movement of one
Speaker:and, uh, And we get to, we get to not be a victim of anything and actually
Speaker:be the ones that get far out ahead of what's going on in the world.
Speaker:So love you guys.
Speaker:Thanks, Caroline, for all the love and looking forward to.
Speaker:Looking forward to seeing all you guys next time.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Big hugs, Rebecca, Rebecca.
Speaker:I'm so glad.
Speaker:Can't wait to hear more about what happens from the exercises today.
Speaker:All right, you guys, thank you to my awesome sweetie pie, Adam,
Speaker:who is in the background today.
Speaker:Doing the production and I don't, uh, usually I don't say cause he
Speaker:tells me don't talk about me, but I'm talking about him today saying,
Speaker:thank you, Adam, for doing all you do.
