Cat Baron is a mom and partner first - she lives in east Ottawa with her partner and their four kids. Cat is also a full-time professor at Algonquin College and has taught in the Community and Justice Services program since 2002. She graduated from the very same program after earning a degree from Carleton University and has worked with youth and women, in group homes and shelters. Cat was the coordinator of Canada’s largest HIV/AIDS and sexual health information service through the Canadian Public Health Association and has volunteered for many years in the community, in order to maintain her connections and to give back. Cat loves to learn and is passionate about getting students excited about learning, especially in her favourite course on sexuality!
