Shownotes
The process of recruiting talent can be trick to say the least, and it’s often challenging to know what you’re looking for in a potential team member. How do you know if someone is right for your team? Do they share your vision, or are they merely looking for a job? Are there certain indicators better than other when evaluating a potential team member?
On this episode, I share why you should stop looking at a candidate’s potential, and start looking at their patterns of behavior and success.
3 Things We Learned From This Episode
- When hiring, don’t settle for ‘potential’. You need team members who share your core values.
- Instead of asking candidates if they are “hardworking” or “accountable”, ask them to give specific examples of when they exhibited these traits.
- Evidence of sustained success and hard work in other areas of their lives might be a good indicator of how they will show up for you.
As a real estate team leader, it is critical to master the science (and art) of attracting talent and discovering who they are as a person before they join your team.
