Shownotes

Nearly half of all new colorectal cancers are now diagnosed in young people. In fact, those born in 1990 are now twice as likely to get colon cancer than those born in 1950.

But here’s the thing, it doesn’t have to be this way.

There are steps you can take right now to cut your risk of colon cancer in half but there’s a problem, there's a gap between what the research shows and what most people know.

I’m Dr. David Zodda, a board-certified physician, and my mission is to close that gap.

I translate the latest research into clear, practical strategies that you can start using today to live a healthier, longer, and more fulfilling life.

In Act I, we’ll explore why colorectal cancer rates are increasing among younger adults. We’ll break down what makes this disease so unique. We’ll review the key risk factors and help you understand how they apply to you. We’ll also go over the early and often subtle symptoms of this particular cancer, so you’ll know exactly what to look for.

In Act II, we focus on prevention. I’ll walk you through three practical strategies to help keep your gut healthy and strong. We’ll break down the different screening options, which ones are most effective, and when and how often you should get screened. You’ll learn which foods support a healthy gut and which ones you want to limit. We’ll then wrap up with some exciting new research highlighting the dramatic impact that exercise and physical activity plays in cancer prevention.
