Shownotes

We all recognize our leadership can be better. However, few are willing to take the steps necessary to change poor habits, bad techniques, or ineffective strategies. Becoming intentional starts with gaining an understanding of why it’s so important. This episode is designed to paint a picture of how your framing of a situation, reaction to a challenge, and words in frustration can dramatically impact others very negatively.

However, once you’ve mastered how to motivate those around you in a healthy fashion, everything changes – both for you and those you lead.

On this show, I use the metaphor of parenting to show how we, as leaders, are actually capable of cultivating the behavior we seek and the leadership we’re training.

In This Episode, You’ll Discover:

  • How parenting taught me how to lead
  • Children develop their personality by first grade
  • Using negative motivation to manipulate behavior
  • Most people struggle with fear in some form or another
  • The healthy way we motivate the desired behavior we’re seeking
  • Cultivating behavior is a heart issue, not a behavioral issue
  • Why you shouldn’t react immediately… to anything
  • and more!
