- Listening is not only hearing but also responding
- This is so important for parents to do with their kids because it helps them learn how to critically think
- You can condescend and make them feel stupid or you can be sincere and teach them to think critically
- Your listening must be active or it won't have any meaning
Questions are Key
- If you want to be a better listener, you must get better at questions
- Questions are also a way of communication
- Develop a curious mindset and apply it to your Kids
- You must be a student of each child to have good questions because each one is different
- One of the best ways to improve your relationship with your kids is to ask better questions
