Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hello, everyone, everywhere.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Welcome to the faith Based Business podcast.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Today we're so blessed you're joining us.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This week we're going to start a new series and I want to look at a lost art form of sorts, especially when it comes to faith based businesses and even for some ministries out there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And that's understanding the power of purposeful storytelling and all that we do.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because everything and everyone has a story behind it, whether you recognize it or not.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's 100 true matter.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let me go ahead and share the screen here and we'll jump over here and get started in today's study.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Put that right down here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'll put it over on this side so I can look at you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, I mean, you can.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can turn a leaking hot water heater into a story.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, it's so easy to.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can turn a flopped email campaign into a story that will generate interest because it's a story that will benefit those who hear it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If you got a leaky hot water heater, you want to hear about how to get it fixed, Right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If you're in marketing business or you're.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You're trying to grow your online presence and someone has an email campaign that flopped and they're telling you why it flopped, you want to hear it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So this allows you to create a connection with people that would be impossible without telling a story.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

To do that, okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But you can't just take the stage or start your talk or email for that matter.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

With just anything.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It must relate to what you're doing, what you are offering.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It must have a benefit behind it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A benefit for your listener or whoever you're sharing a story with.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Not your benefit, your listener's benefit.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And to do that, you need to have a complete understanding of your core message going in.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So every story you tell needs to have a foundation, a purpose that gives the story meaning.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Start by asking yourself what truth or lesson it is you want to communicate.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Maybe it's the strength of that comes through your faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Or the resilience found in times of hardship.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

By defining this message as you go in, you're not only giving your story direction, but you're also making sure that your audience will walk away with a powerful takeaway that sticks with them long after they've heard it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Long after you've left them and gone off stage, long after they've clicked off the webinar, that story will still stick with them.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Faith based stories, folks.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Have an incredible impact when they're firmly anchored in a spiritual truth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If you're telling a business story or trying to make a point about your product or service, you still need to keep your story's core aligned with your faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Don't shy away from this.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And don't be shy about your faith either.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, whether it's about God's love, you know, forgiveness, guidance, ensure that every single message you share flows from your faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This grounding will give your story depth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It'll give it authenticity and the ability to connect with those who are seeking the spiritual insight into what's going on in their life.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And biblical stories have lasted thousands of years.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Simply because they communicate powerful truths through simple, relatable narratives.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And when.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When you're creating your story, take inspiration from scripture.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just as the story of David and Goliath conveys, you know, courage and.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And, you know, adv.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Conquering adversity, consider what timeless message you could embed in your own story that shares those same examp will recognize.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And they will respond to stories that feel universal and timeless in their processes.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A powerful story will often reflect a theme, I guess you could call it, that everyone can relate to, like overcoming fear or finding peace.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And when you identify a universal truth in your story, you're not only reaching your audience intellectually, but you're touching them on a deep, personal level.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And when you can connect that emotion to the service or product that you're offering, they will feel connected to the story because they recognize part of their own journey is in the story as well.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is the emotional connection that you often lack.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If you just discuss the products, benefits and services, etc.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Storytelling will lift you above the fray and set you apart from all the other coaches out there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And you need to understand that you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You need to keep your story focused.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's so easy to stray off into the weeds with details that might distract from your main point.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A consistent message is what will give your story power.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Every single detail should support the main point of your presentation.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

By keeping your story focused, you'll make sure your message is strong, clear, easy for your audience to grasp.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Again, this is what will make your presentation more memorable and will provide that emotional connection with your intended audience, which will often end up resulting in increased results, whether it's sales or outreach or whatever.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

How do we craft our stories to connect on that deeper level?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Well, that's what we're going to start to get into next time.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.
