Double, double toil, and trouble: what's both scary fun and scary wasteful? The one time a year we buy cheap costumes, hand out huge amounts of individually plastic wrapped candies, decorate with super cute (but often not durable) decor- only to have a lot of it all discarded when the fog settles... you guessed it, Halloween! Don't get me wrong, it's my all time favorite holiday and it's so much fun. But, when you think about how wasteful the holiday can be, it can get a little overwhelming.
