>> Anthony: What up, everybody? Welcome back to another exciting
Speaker:show with the about that wallet podcast. On this
Speaker:episode, I decided to do a feed drop. And
Speaker:the feed drop in podcasting is where I dropp an
Speaker:episode from another podcast that I was
Speaker:on. So this episode is
Speaker:from a recording that I did with
Speaker:Stephanie Gonzalez on the
Speaker:podcast360 podcast. So
Speaker:let's go down and take a deep dive and get to learn a little bit
Speaker:about me.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: Here we go.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: If you love this podcast, then wouldn't you love to know how it came
Speaker:to be? That's what we're asking your favorite podcast hosts on this
Speaker:Week's episode of
Speaker:Podcast360M.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: There we go.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: Welcome to Podcast360, powered by the Podcast
Speaker:Academy. In three questions answered in 60 seconds
Speaker:each, you'll experience a 360 degree view of
Speaker:podcasting from a lineup of industry experts.
Speaker:The hosts of your favorite podcasts will take turns interviewing each
Speaker:other, creating a chain of podcast knowledge and
Speaker:perspective.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: We go.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: Let's meet our industry experts. Today's host is.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: Hi, I'm, um, Stephanie Gonzalez, the founder of the women's wealth effect.
Speaker:You heard me last week when I was interviewed by Bernadette
Speaker:Joy, my wonderful co host on the crush your money
Speaker:goals podcast.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: And who is our guest this week?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: Hi, my name is Anthony Weaver. I'm the host about that wallet
Speaker:podcast where we helped this sandwich generation build
Speaker:confidence in their finances.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: First, the game. Before the game, we ask our guests
Speaker:to share two truths and a lie. Our host will guess which is
Speaker:the lie and we'll find out the answer together at the end of our
Speaker:conversation. Let's play podcast 360.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: All right, Anthony, I'm super excited to have you
Speaker:up early in the morning as my guest
Speaker:on the podcast360. Thanks so much for
Speaker:joining.
Speaker:And as always, we begin podcast 360 with a round
Speaker:of two truths and a lie. This is where you're gonna tell me
Speaker:three amazing facts about yourself. And I'm go going toa do
Speaker:my best guess to decide or decipher which one
Speaker:is the lie. You don't tell me what it is
Speaker:whenever I actually make my choice. Cause we're gonna
Speaker:hold that to the end of the podcast and we'll
Speaker:reveal that to the audience at the end. You ready?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: Yep.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: All right, let's go.
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: So I have two truths and a lie. I love
Speaker:this game. So the first one is
Speaker:my credit score used to be
Speaker:3 and 45. Second one
Speaker:is I forgot to hit the record button
Speaker:when recording podcast. And number three,
Speaker:I record over five
Speaker:Episodes using my cell phone.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: Ooh. M. Five episodes of your whole. Whole
Speaker:thing. Like your whole. About that wallet. M.
Speaker:Okay. M. I definitely know that you have
Speaker:not hit record for certain episodes before. Cause I
Speaker:feel like you told me that when you interviewed me on
Speaker:your podcast. So I think
Speaker:you lied about then. I think
Speaker:you actually did more than five episodes on your phone
Speaker:because you are a good
Speaker:podcaster and you wanted to stay consistent with your at
Speaker:least initial setup before you upgraded
Speaker:anything. And so, yeah, we're gonna say you did more
Speaker:than five episodes on your phone.
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: All right. Guess we'll see.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: All right, we'll see what happens.
Speaker:So now I'm gonna put you on the clock, Anthony, for the
Speaker:360 portion of podcast. 360. I'm gonna ask you three
Speaker:questions about podcasting, and you'll have 60 seconds
Speaker:to answer each of them. Once we get through the round
Speaker:of questions, we'll then pick, uh, one of the things that you
Speaker:talked about and deep dive into that subject so that we can get
Speaker:into some more detail. Are you ready to go?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: I am ready.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: So what was the moment that you decided
Speaker:that you wanted to, number one, start a podcast,
Speaker:but make it specifically about that wallet and what you're looking to
Speaker:accomplish?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: Well, what made me think about starting the
Speaker:podcast in general was that I was
Speaker:under the new understanding of what
Speaker:is money? Because I was actually
Speaker:trying to pay off. Like, I just found out that you can actually pay
Speaker:off your cell phone. And I was like, wow,
Speaker:what other things that I don't know about money can buy
Speaker:me and let me share this out to the world? And that's one of the
Speaker:reasons why I kind of came up with about that wallet, especially
Speaker:during COVID It was. Was nothing else to do. So I was
Speaker:like, let me talk to somebody. And that's why I came up with
Speaker:awesome.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: Awesome. As creators, we also have to
Speaker:be consistent but also know when we
Speaker:have to pivot. So it's a very fine balance.
Speaker:Right. What was one of the most recent
Speaker:pivots in the way that you do about that wallet
Speaker:that you're most proud of?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: When it came to getting on YouTube,
Speaker:YouTube was one of the areas and boundaries I was
Speaker:afraid of actually turning on the camera and getting front
Speaker:of people because of my gap in my
Speaker:teet. But now it becomes a staple for the
Speaker:show. So being consistent and pivoting my
Speaker:show to, um, a video has
Speaker:been one of the things that I'm most proud of,
Speaker:and not just to reach a wider audience,
Speaker:but also so that people can actually see me.
Speaker:And I'm also proud of myself for going beyond what
Speaker:I think is possible for myself.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: That's awesome. That's for sharing that.
Speaker:You also spoke about AI tools
Speaker:as a speaker, um, at PodFest
Speaker:recently. Tell me a bit more about your favorite
Speaker:AI tool and how you practically use it today.
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: You did your research. So the AI tools that I've
Speaker:used for podfasts I was talking about mostly how
Speaker:to utilize a tool that can actually take my audio and just
Speaker:give me so many different options. One of the tools that I currently
Speaker:use today that kind of give me all of that is
Speaker:Eddie by Headliner. And I use that all
Speaker:the time because it provides me show notes,
Speaker:information far as, like keywords that I can use, my YouTube
Speaker:videos and so forth. So I really love that
Speaker:tool.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: Awesome. Love that, love that.
Speaker:>> Podcast360: Podcast 360'll be back in just a moment.
Speaker:And we're back with podcast 360.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: We've now gotten all of the different
Speaker:questions now done.
Speaker:Let's talk a little bit about this getting in
Speaker:front of the camera pivot that you mentioned.
Speaker:You know, I think we happen to pass each other
Speaker:at fincon. And I remember in
Speaker:some way, shape, form or fashion, we were like, oh, we had already met each other. But
Speaker:I think part of it is the smiles,
Speaker:the like personality that draws you in. Just
Speaker:like feeling like you already know each other
Speaker:vibe, I think is what kind of happened for us in our kind
Speaker:of meet cute relationship. Right. And I think
Speaker:that's really important to understand because connection is
Speaker:such an important thing in the world
Speaker:today. Right. A lot of people are head down working on their
Speaker:laptops and their cubicles, whatever, and connection
Speaker:becomes this almost luxury. Right.
Speaker:So how do you feel like now taking the leap
Speaker:into the video format element of your podcast has helped
Speaker:you create connections for you personally
Speaker:and for about that wallet as your
Speaker:business.
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: Yeah, well, meeting you personally, it almost look
Speaker:like I'm meeting a celebrity because I always hear about
Speaker:you. Uh, I see you all the time. And I was like, man,
Speaker:what would it be like if I actually meet her? And then I saw you, I was
Speaker:like, hey, this is you.
Speaker:It was, um, amazing to have those
Speaker:experiences. And one of those things that I
Speaker:didn't realize is because I turned the camera on,
Speaker:there are people that are coming up to me who've been
Speaker:watching my live shows but haven't had a chance to meet me in
Speaker:person. And when they do, it almost is
Speaker:like, wow, this is actually really
Speaker:a thing. And they are very excited to meet me. And
Speaker:I'm very excited to meet them. And I was like, hey, so what was your
Speaker:favorite episode with Segmentsy like? Because a lot of people
Speaker:are afraid to talk, type out things inside
Speaker:the comments, but they do watch. And that's one of
Speaker:the things that I really did enjoy about turning the camera
Speaker:on and being able to meet you with so many people
Speaker:at FanCon. I mean, it's a family. It's like a family
Speaker:reunion every time I go. Just love it.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: M. Yeah, no, I totally agree. Yeah. And I can
Speaker:relate to the. When you get an opportunity to meet people, quote,
Speaker:unquote, in the wilds. Right. Um,
Speaker:I think I live in Portugal now,
Speaker:and I've met people here
Speaker:that follow me through various different ways.
Speaker:And, you know, uh, they'll come up and say, hey, you're the women's wealth effect. And
Speaker:you're like, oh, someone's really watching. And I
Speaker:love the fact that you've taken the chance to get a little uncomfortable
Speaker:and put yourself out there a little bit more. And the content and the
Speaker:topics that you discuss make a very taboo
Speaker:topic a lot more comfortable,
Speaker:relatable, and something that people are more willing to talk
Speaker:about more openly. So thank you so much for
Speaker:sharing your experience and your wisdom
Speaker:and your smile today. Um, thanks.
Speaker:So let's revisit this whole thing.
Speaker:I think your lie for your two truths and a lie
Speaker:was you have recorded more than five podcast on your
Speaker:phone for about that wallet. Was I right?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: You're right.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: All right, so how many?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: It was only about 4 before I
Speaker:finally switched to using, like, an actual,
Speaker:like, USB headset to my laptop. And I was
Speaker:slowly progressing, uh, as I went on, because the
Speaker:thing about it, like, I got irritated with the phone piece because it
Speaker:kept getting an echo feedback, and I was like, it caused more
Speaker:editing for me, so let me try different ways and
Speaker:methods. And so that's why I slowly upgraded to the
Speaker:laptop and so forth.
Speaker:>> Stephanie Gonzalez: Yeah. Well, you're listening in. You're really beginning. Right?
Speaker:Take some of Anthony's feedback in terms of maybe cutting
Speaker:out some of the additional steps if you're still recording on your phone.
Speaker:Well, Anthony, thank you so, uh, much for being my
Speaker:guest. It's been so fun.
Speaker:Can you let our listeners know where they can find you? Any social media
Speaker:pages, any websites, any shout outs that you'd like to give?
Speaker:>> Anthony Weaver: Yeah. So I want to give a shout out to all the listeners and all of
Speaker:you podcasters who are listening to this episode that are
Speaker:really looking to elevate your
Speaker:podcast. Now, remember, the Technology is one thing, but the
Speaker:thing that we really need to lean into is the storytelling. Make
Speaker:sure that you guys are telling great stories and continue on
Speaker:to live an experience, get outside the house,
Speaker:live a life and then come back and share your
Speaker:story because everybody wants to hear about it. Uh, you'd be
Speaker:surprised. You might have a fan out there listening and just want to
Speaker:meet you one day. Oh, and where you can find me, uh, you can find
Speaker:me on all the social media platforms at about that
Speaker:Wallet. And you are more than welcome to join my
