Shownotes

Welcome back to Beerocracy! This is the 2nd episode of a 3 part series exploring the Israel-Palestine conflict. I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Mohamed Ziara, a plastic surgery doctor from Gaza who worked at Al-Shifa hospital before being forced to move south for his safety. Dr. Mohamed, who has amassed a following on Instagram showing his life inside a war zone, shared his experience of being in Al-Shifa when Israel invaded the hospital and the harrowing journey to Khan Younis.

This podcast episode was recorded in the beginning of February, just a few weeks after his brother was killed. Dr. Mohamed managed to leave Gaza in the end of February and has been in Egypt since. You can follow him on Instagram at @dr.mohamed.palestine.

Generally, a Beerocracy! episode has some jokes and a sharing on what we're drinking at the beginning. With such heavy topics, it doesn't feel right to make light of such a tragic situation, so there is no joking and no beer talk during this episode.
